//Porch Swing - New Guinea x Australia//
Requested by Papuastraliacampaign ! Note: This is a lyric one-shot with all fluff. Enjoy you guys.
We'll do it all
Everything
On our own
His height seemed to tower over New Guinea's at an extreme, which made sitting on the porch swing much more exciting. Australia though, himself, was inside poring some soda into cups for him and his lover. It was damp inside from the intense heat of Australian weather - which if he wasn't going to raise hell right now he'd do it soon. Sitting outside was the better of the two choices.
It was getting later in the evening and New Guinea was getting progressively worried over the amount his husband was inside. He tapped his foot lightly on the ground, a forced smile plastered on his lips. "Honey?"
"Yeah, G?"
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone
The breath he didn't even know he was holding had released from his lungs. "You almost finished in there?" New Guinea asked.
"You know it! Speaking of, do you want a straw with your drink or not?" Australia replied with a question as well.
"No thank you,"
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Suddenly humanized country appeared from the open-door railing and stepped out, wearing flip-flops to ensure his feet didn't burn. He came over and sat the orange-looking soda (Fanta) down in his partner's hands. "One for you," - Another drink in and he began to take small sips.
"What was taking you so long, babe?" The shorter country inquired.
"I was busy thinking; if this place was a little cooler, would more people visit this place?"
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
There was a speaker on the side table near Australia, so he stretched over (considering the length of his arms) and pressed play - hoping to find some good tunes that were currently going. A song with light instrumentals began to play with a low, soft, feminine voice.
Two masculine voices followed suite, talking about the deformities of society - while she hummed. "Miles of land all around us; but we capsized on this one little plain," She sang in a harmonious voice - like a sweet that was all-too-perfect.
New Guinea began to tap his fingers on his legs, finding the sound catchy. Slowly he began to lean his head on his husband's shoulder for comfort - which meant everything to the two of them. Australia held his hand and kissed the top of his head, hoping to pick up the body later and tuck him into bed.
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough
"Could you tell me something I like to hear?" - His voice was strained from the sleepless of two nights in a row. There was a muffled "mmhmm" from the smooshed face of the smaller countryhuman. "Is it because I don't say it enough?"
"Truth,"
"Then I guess I owe you this - I love you Aus and I will never stop loving you,"
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
"... I love you too, G,"
