All their lives Magnus and Matilda have lived on the streets in the city of London. They strive on Magnus' pickpocketing abilities to survive, but Matilda wants more. She doesn't just want to survive, she wants a family, a home, someone to take care of her and her brother instead of the pair having to take care of themselves.

But with strange new abilities developing in their third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and family secrets being revealed, Matilda may just get all she has ever wished for... only to discover it is the last thing she actually wants.

𝙽𝚘𝚝𝚎:

I am American, first and foremost. I have tried to make sure that the twins keep up British Lingo and stuff since they're english, but... like I said. I'm American. So, if they do or say anything distinctly...American then I apologize for the inaccuracy. I really did try.

Second, Matilda, having grown up on the streets, is bad at grammar. So, I apologize again if the way her parts are written is distracting to anyone. Just know it is done on purpose for characterization and such. She is a 12-13ish year old girl. It is meant to look like it was written by such. Please don't come at me about it (because I know some people might).

Lastly, the twins are low key based off the Kane siblings from the Kane Chronicles and the Pines Twins from Gravity Falls. So, there will be some references (Magnus straight up rips off Dipper's narration in the pilot in the first chapter so) and it is written in the same way Riordan does where it goes back and forth between the two siblings and sometimes they interrupt each other (like this: [ blah blah] ).

They are also fortune tellers so, like, expect references to things they shouldn't know about. (Why would they wait for the newest Spider Man movie to come out when they can watch it years in advance on the crystal ball?)

Also an obscene amount of foreshadowing, too.

𝚃𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚐𝚎𝚛 𝚆𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜:

Lots of political nonsense on Magnus' part (though honestly not that bad he just has strong feelings about things), lots of references to poverty and homelessness. Criminal activity: theft. Slight ministry of magic call out, especially where child surfaces are concerned. Mild cursing.

A fair amount of Quidditch bashing and Hermione Slander as well, especially from Matilda on the latter.
