Akemi-San
Lucy gasped as we stepped into the labyrinth. Giant lollipops and ice cream cones floated around. The were dotted with scribbled-on faces and crazy eyes. The ground was made of large marshmallows and chocolate chips. And when I say large, I mean twice my size! Kyubey ducked as a lollipop swung over him, laughing maniacally.
I grabbed my katana and swiped at the laughing lollipops. The blade hit one and it fell apart and tumbled to the ground. Lucy grabbed one of my knives and handed it to me. I snatched it and fit two others in between my knuckles. Swinging my hand, I released the knives and hit two ice cream cones. The third knife hit the cake-made wall and sunk down.
Lucy grabbed my wrist and we both ran down the squishy marshmallow lane. Chocolate-bar doors flew open as we approached them. Floating sweets filled each hallway, and I continued to hot many with my knives, katana gently carving a path behind us. After a few more attacks, I realized that that the knives seemed to immediately come back to me.
After a few more doors, we came across creature that I could only assume was a witch. It was a large, round blob that looked like it was made of fudge. There was a marshmallow top in the shape of an arrow's point. It had arms that were made of candy-canes, except they were bending and flexing to attack a black-haired girl.
She stood and glared at the witch. I noticed a click from her shield, and then everything went gray. Lucy had already let go of my hand, and now stood still, a shocked expression still on her face. Kyubey sat on her shoulder, unmoving. I noticed the girl, the only other thing moving and not gray. "Hey!" I called over. She looked at me and was suddenly shocked.
Her long, black hair had a pink band tied at the top. "How are you not frozen!?" She asked, looking at her hands as though she'd coasted a spell to change me into the horrendous witch in front of us. She shook her head and turned her attention back to the candy monster.
"My name is Homura Akemi, and there's something I have to do." Akemi-san leaped up and tossed a bomb in the witch's face. She leaped down with another click of her shield, and continued glaring at the witch as the bomb blew up. It swayed, and I charged with my katana, slicing the marshmallow top in half. The witch fell and a black orb like the one in the wall appeared. The sugary labyrinth dissolved.
Lucy stared. Akemi-san grabbed the orb and tossed it to me. "You killed it, you keep the grief seed." I grabbed the grief seed and placed it against the my soul gem in my palm. It had been darker, but the seed sucked out the blackness. "You two are obviously new. Meet me tomorrow at lunch on the roof." And she walked off.
Lucy turned to me. I de-transformed and was back in my school outfit. As we walked back to my house, Lucy recalled to fight. "And then, after all those evil candy things died, we made it to the witch and she just... Exploded while-what did you say, Akemi?- glared at it!"
I didn't listen to Lucy, though. Who was this Akemi-san? She seemed... Familiar to me.
