Things were going great for Andy. The feeling of control stayed with her for the rest of the week. It was like, the more time she spent with the two members of the Cullen family. The better she felt.

Somehow, she was able to decide what she wanted to feel when she was around them.

She had also noticed how the Cullen family seemed in better spirits since she started school. She had no idea what it was that changed their attitude, they still didn't speak to anyone, but you could tell something was different. Better.

Andy still kept to herself more, she still had trouble trusting people, but she was still making friends. Becoming a better friend. It was like Alice and Jasper glued to her side.

Unbeknownst to her, Alice and Jasper stuck to her side to make sure that the Cullen's weren't overbearing for her.

It was during lunch when Alice came to speak to her infront of everyone in the cafeteria.

"Do you mind if I borrow Andy for a few minutes?" Andy asked the table full of Bella's shocked friends.

"Uh- yea- yes, of course," Mike Newton stuttered.

"Great!" Alice exclaimed. She quickly grabbed Andy's hand and dragged her away, out the cafeteria.

"Slow down!" Andy told her friend.

"I'm just excited!"

"About what?"

"Come shopping with me this weekend?" Alice asks.

"Wha-? Umm yeah sure," Andy says. "What day?"

Upon her acceptance, Alice did a sqeal and a happy little dance.

"Saturday, but we will probably get back really late. So how would you feel about a sleepover?" Alice says casually. As if she already knew how the conversation was going to play out.

"Um, well, you see, I-uh, never really had a sleepover before."

Alice gives her a tiny smile, "neither have I."

Andy looks at the girl, quickly making the decision to sleepover at the mysterious Cullen house.

Wiggling her eyebrows, she says "so we'll be eachothers first?"

The two stare at eachother before bursting into laughter.

"Look out Jasper," Andy hollers. "Andy's coming for your girl!"

Alice follows Andy back into the cafeteria, listening to Andy talk excitedly about their plans for the weekend.

In the cafeteria, Jasper sat with his head in his hands trying to hide his laughter. Emmett sat with his laugh bellowing, not even trying to hide his amusement.

"She's great, isn't she?" Jasper said to his siblings.

All of them, even Rosalie, smiled at Jasper's happiness.

Its was early Saturday morning when Andy was woken up earlier than normal.

"Bella, what...?" she sleepily asks.

"I'm leaving soon to go to La Push," she whispers. "You sure you don't want to come?"

"Yeah Bell's, I have plans," she mumbles. "What time is it?"

"Around 9:30, almsot 10," she said walking out the room.

"Oh god," Andy groans into her pillow.

"Andy wake up," Charlie tells her. "Its almost 11. Your friend will be here soon."

Groaning, Andy rolls off her bed onto the floor. She whines a little before crawling over to her closet.

Even with the door closed, she can clearly hear her father laughing at her.

"Who is this friend anyways?" he asks after his laughing fit.

"Um, it's Alice Cullen," she hesitantly tells him. "She actually, kinda, became my best friend."

From inside the closet, Andy missed her fathers bright smile. He never heard his daughter call anyone a friend, let alone best friend. He was thrilled that she was putting herself out there.

He clears his throat, "how long will you be out?"

"Uh, well, she actually asked me to sleepover," she said softly. "She said we would probably get back late and that it would just be easier.

Andy walks out the closest and faces her father, "it would actually be my first sleepover, daddy."

She watches her fathers eyes soften, knowing that she has permission.

"Well as long as you call to check in tonight and if you make sure to pack your meds, everything should be alright."

Throwing herself into her fathers arms, she gives him a quick hug.

"Thanks dad," she whispers.

Shopping with Alice was fun, tiring, but fun. The pixie like girl had somehow cconvinced her that she looks great in a ton of clothing, making her buy them. If Andy didn't end up buying the clothes, Alice would go and buy them for her. She was relentless when it came to fashion, when it came to shopping in general.

The whole experience made Andy feel like she was normal.

By the time they got back to Alice's house, she felt weighed down by shopping bags and was ready to head right to bed. That was until she got into the house and smelt something delicious coming from wherever the kitchen was.

"Allie, what is that heavenly smell?"

"That would be my mother, Esme's, cooking," she said with a laugh.

Looking to Alice with a dead serious expression, "I want your mom."

At this, Alice's smile becomes impossibly wider. It's like she wanted that kind of response from the girl.

"Come meet her then," Alice says as she drags the girl through the house. "And the rest of my family. I mean, you know who they are, they know who you are, but you have never met."

Andy thinks back on it. From the way she listens to Alice and Jasper talk about their siblings it feels like she knows them all already, but the only other member of her family that she actually met was Dr. Cullen.

"I met your dad though," she tells her. "It was under awful circumstances though. I think I was all loopy and stuff."

"Well these are better circumstances."

"I don't know Allie," she said teasingly. "I think I'm gonna be rather distracted by the smell of your moms cooking."

Alice looks at Andy sternly. "Oh hush you."

"You love me."

Walking through the house, Andy looms at all the decor. The Cullen home is beautiful, and surprisingly very open. She would have thought that it would have more things with so many children around.

When Andy walked into the kitchen she barely noticed the rest of the family standing around. She was flinging herself at Jasper ready to complain about how Alice made her buy almost everything.

"Jas, she's like a little monster!" she wailed. "I don't know how such a little thing could get so scary. I told her that I didn't like a pair of sboes and she nearly ripped my head off!"

Laughing at her dramatics, "I'm guessing you guys had a good time."

"The best," she told him with a grin.

Looking away from her friend, she faces the rest of the people in the room and gives them a shy small and a small wave. As if on instinct she goes to move slightly behind Jasper. Instead of ending up behind him, be draps his arm around her shoulder and holds her to his side.

Jasper knew that she was comfortable around his family, he knew she felt a sense of control around them. He also knew that old habits are hard to break at times.

"Dr. Cullen," she says. "It's good to see you under better circumstances."

"Please, call me Carlisle," he tells her. "This is my wife Esme."

A beautiful brunette steps up to his side and gives her a kind smile.

Andy moves away from Jasper towards Esme, giving her a tight hug.

"Thank you for making such wonderful food," Andy whispers.

Pulling away from the kind woman, she faces the rest of the Cullen's and makes her way back to Alice and Jasper's side.

"I already know who all of you are, maybe we can skip the awkward introductions?" she timidly asks.

"Look!" Alice exclaims. "We're practically already family!"

"Yup Allie. We're family now," Andy starts. "Does that mean my new mom can feed me?"

When a bowl of pasta was plaved in front of her, Andy felt like she was gonna die. It looked so good.

Andy knew their was something up with the Cullen's. She's seen them, observed them in a way. She knew they didn't eat.

"I know you guys don't eat," she told them. "I've noticed. You don't have to pretend for me."

The Cullen's temsed at her words. Edward being able to hear her thoughts tried to see what she knew, but she was thinking too fast; it made his head spin.

"I know their is something different about your family. I know that people fear you, I can feel it," she explains through mouthfuls. "I know I should be scared by I'm not."

She turns away from her food and looks at them all one at a time. Stoping at her friends.

"You affect me differently. At home, I would never be able to get more than a couple of mouthfuls down without wanting to cry," she whispers. "Here, around Alice and Jasper. I feel like I'm able to breathe again. I know it sounds crazy, but it's like I can constantly feel everyones pain and negatively. I can feel their emotions and it's overwhelming."

Jasper looks at the girl with a knowing smile, he has the same problem she does, but for her it's different. Him, he feels it, he knows what youre feeling. Her, she makes it her own, she has no control over it.

Without looking to his family for approval, Jasper steps froward and places his hand gently on her shoulder.

"Andy, I think it's time we explained some things."
