Andy stares intently at Jasper before slowly nodding. He turns and motions for her to follow him.

Grabbing her plate of food, she follows him and the rest of his family into the living room. Taking a seat across from where Jasper stood so she can watch him head on.

"So you have noticed that we're different," Carlisle says.

"Faster, stonger, paler, you never eat, impeccable hearing," she trails off.

"Do you have any theories?" Edward asks. "I know your sister does."

"Yeah, but only because I've been helping her. She doesn't notice things the way I do," she explains.

Thinking of everything she's researched, she tries to sort through everything into categories. She Googled many things, she read many articles, but this couldn't be explained scientifically. This was something science didn't uderstand.

She concidered things from superheroes, to villains. Gamma-radiation, to advanced alien-tech, but this didn't look like something from a comic book.

Andy glances up at Jasper. She takes in his perfect stiff posture, and perfect comeplection. He had not one blemish or freckle. His hair looks professionally done everyday. Its was the same with the rest if the family. Even Carlisle, a doctor, who should be more tired than the rest, didnt have one bit of stubble or hair out of place.

"The only thing that would make sense would be something superhuman. Something supernatural," she thinks out loud.

Scooping in another mouthful, she leans back into her seat. Her mind working at a rapid pace.

Edward tried to listen to her thoughts, trying to guess if she was in the right direction , but it was like she was thinking of everything at once. He turns to his family and shrugs, not liking the way she made his head hurt. Instead he stands and watches as Andy's eyes follow nothing, as if it was her train of thought.

Andy tried to take in almost everything. Adding every single tiny detail to her analysis. Her eyes landed on Edward, seeing his narrowed eyes she abruptly stands and makes her way over. With her fork still in her hand, she gets close to notice the details on his face.

She shifts slightly, pushing the fork into his arm before he could react. However, the fork didn't go into his arm. Laughing slightly in triumph, she backs away doing a little dance.

Nodding her head to herself, she makes her way toward a lamp in the corner.

Grabbing the lamp she pulls it as close as she could to the middle of the room.

"I have a couple of ideas running through my head," she said, gestruing to her head as she spoke. "It's a good thing no one is as perceptive as I am, or you would all be screwed."

Pointing towards Jasper, she motions for him to come closer. Audibly sighing because he wasn't moving fast enough. Grabbing his arm, she pulls him next to her and shoves up his sleeve.

Andy takes off the lamp shade and holds Jasper's arm in the light, seeing a bunch of bite marks, and sparkles? She moves the lamp away and looks at his arm, seeing no marks visible.

Dropping the lamp, she sits back down in her seat and finishes her food. The Cullen's stand watching her eith curiosity, unsure of what she's doing.

"That was too easy," she said after finishing her food. "Way too easy."

Lazily gazing at all of them, she straightens herself out. Looking directly at Carlisle, she says "I'm guessing you want to explain, or something?"

"What exactly do you know?" he asks her hesitantly.

"You guys are vampires," she states matter of factly.

Andy involuntarily shivers at the tension in the room. Out of nowhere she could feel the familiar pressure on her chest, and suddenly the room was too small.

She wasn't afraid. No, it was something else she was feeling. An entire range of emotions and she wasn't entirely sure that they were her own.

"Yes!" Alice chimes. "You're not scared of us."

"I don't have a reason to," Andy admits. "You and Jas have been nothing but kind to me. You guys are my best friends!"

"You aren't worried you could get hurt?" Esme asks.

"Honestly, I knew something was off about this family from the beginning. I pay attention to the details most people look over," she explains. "I mean, if you were going to eat me then you would have done so earlier. Or if you were going to lose control, you would have done so when I was bleeding out on the school parking lot."

Emmett let's out a booming laugh. His eyes twinling, and a trace of a grin on his face.

"I like her."

Laughing at his statement, Andy turns to Jasper. A small mischievous grin playing at her lips.

"You better watch out Jas. Me and muscles would make an epic prank duo."

Emmett lets out another laugh. It wasn't long before everyone let out at least a small chuckle before becoming serious.

"Im correct in assuming you have questions?" Carlisle questions.

"Yeah, it was kinda easy for me to figure out, but I don't know the details," she admits.

"Turning into a vampire isn't a pleasurable experience. It puts you in imense pain. A bite from a vampire releases a venom that essentially burns through your veins," Carlisle explains. "We only turn someone if their is no other option, a last resort so to speak. We only feed on animal blood, it's why our eyes our this color."

"Right okay. Explain the sparkle thing to me."

"Instead of burning in the sun, we sort of sparkle," Edward tells her.

"That's probably the coolest part of this," Andy admits. "I'm sure I'll have more questions, but I can't think of any at the moment."

Andy took her plate into the kitchen to get more food. Distracted by her thoughts again. She wanted to understand, around the Cullen's she had a sense of control. Around other people she couldn't get a handle on herself, it was like she was out of tune.

"Alice, is there something different about me? Something wrong with?" she says aloud at a normal volume. She knew her friend could hear her.

Turning around, she met with Alice giving her a small hesistant smile. The pixie girl quickly gestures for her to follow her to the back balcony.

The night air was cool against her skin, the dark sky made the woods look even darker, scarier. Their was something different about the woods knowing that supernatural creatures exist. She wasn't scared of the woods anymore, she was scared of what lurked within.

"Vampires can have special abilities sometimes," Alice began. "Edward can read minds, Jasper is an empath, he can feel and influence people's emotions. I was gifted as well, with visions. I can see the future, the path that people are on while they're on it."

"How does that work?" Andy asked timidly.

"It's based on the decisions of others. If they change their minds, even about a tiny matter, the future changes," Alice watches Andy's reaction. "You were always a constant in my visions."

"Wh-what do you mean?"

"We we're always meant to meet you. No matter what was decided, you were always there," she explained. "Its part of what you are, who you are."

"What I- I don't understand," Andy breathed out.

"You are what my people, vampires, like to call a valerian."

"That's a flower," Andy blurts out. "It's used to help people that have anxiety sleep. Its a fitting name actually."

Silence fell over the two girls. Both lost in their thoughts.

Andy was thinking over what Alice had called her, had said she was. The name was so casual, a name for a plant that herbalist used.

"What is it? A valerian?"

"Well, it's kind of like an empath. You can feel other peoples emotions. Sometimes people unknowingly project what they're feeling. They project everything to you. Instead of just feeling what they're feeling though, you sort of absorb it."

"Absorb it?"

"Yeah, it's in your nature to want to help people. You take away their negative feelings," Alice pauses. "Jasper could probably explain better."

The girls stood in silence, knowing that Jasper had heard them and that he was coming to join them. Andy hears a quiet clearing of the throat and turns to face the man in question.

"Have you ever felt something that didn't come from you? Sitting in class one day, have you ever felt an out of context emotion?" Jasper lectures. "Those are someone else's feelings. Feelings of insecurity, of depression, hate. They are normally something you take from someone else. To prevent them from feeling it."

"I-I'm not sure I understand," Andy said quietly.

"You said earlier that you feel comfortable around us. You can eat normally without feeling any sense of self-hate. That's because you have bonded to us. You subconsciously take away any emotions or feelings that cause us pain and lock them away. Around us everything you feel is strictly your own."

"So wait, what your saying is that I take away people's emotions when it's something that is hurtful to them?" Andy quesions. "Is that why I have so many problems?"

"In a sense." Alice said.

"The feelings of anxiety are probably your own," Jasper added. "It comes along with being a valerian I guess. That feeling of fight or flight when everything is too much for you to regulate."

"Regulate? So what I can control this?" Andy perks up.

"Yes, I can teach you, if you wish," Jasper tells her.

"Oh, Jazz, we forget something," alice quietly says. "Valerian's have some other abilities. You can physically heal someone. You will know how to heal people mentally as well."

Andy nods her head in acknowledgement to what shes saying. Still trying to make sense of everything she's being told. She feels like she understands, but at the same time she doesn't.

"You might also develop other abilities. It depends on how strong you are, who you bond with, that kind of stuff," Alice rushes out quietly.

Feeling slightly ligjt headed, Andy knows that this is all too much to handle in one day. She hadn't even fully reacted to the vampire thing yet.

"I think it's time for bed," Andy tells the two with a sheepish smile.
