Chapter 8 - Megalotrousle
I've been scouring Shara's Tumblr for new information.
All I found was what types of Pokémon Zephyr likes.

Someone get this guy a Rowlet. -w-

"Who are you?" I asked. "I can't tell you apart from your brother."
"Xephyr," He said simply. "That was a nice song."
"Thank you," I nodded. There was an awkward silence between us. "Why are you up here and not with the others?" I asked.
"Hex told me to, and I quote, 'make him stop screaming nonsense with his annoying animal chore'. But I assume the song's over, so I can't really do anything else," Xephyr shrugged. "And it didn't sound too bad."
"Y-Yeah....I've been working on it for a while," I glanced at the animals, who were now walking away and going back to doing what they were doing.
"I've got a question," Xephyr said, looking around the clearing.
"What?"
"Why were you acting like that around Chronos?" he asked. "I heard you call him the...God of Time...???"
"I got him confused with Kronos, the God of Time. In the world, Gods, Goddesses, Devils, Demons, all of that exists," I explained.
"Huh..." Xephyr nodded. "Now I get why you were acting like that."
"Yeah...that must've been weird from your view," I said sheepishly. Xephyr nodded.
"So, why do you work for Hex?" he asked.
"He's a good friend of mine....just hates songs and singing," I glanced towards the entrance to his 'lab'. "...I don't like all of the machinery he uses. I get some of it, but sometimes it releases a lot of pollution."
"You really like nature, don't you?" Xephyr asked.
"Yep," I looked up at the sky. "What's it like living with brothers?"
"I'm guessing that normally it'd be peaceful, but with us...ehhh, how do I put it? Pick a side and try not to get stabbed in the back," he shrugged.
"Jeez...."
"Well, Zephyr and I...it's confusing, but long story short, my brother Cider hates me."
"Well, I have time for a long story."
"Nah, they're coming out," Xephyr looked towards the entrance. He was right, everyone was filing out.
Hex turned to us. "I have the proper things needed to repair Xephyr's coding, but I need Zephyr."
"Why?" Chronos, Zephyr and Xephyr asked at the same time.
"Since he and Xephyr share similar coding, I need to examine his so I know exactly what to do and what not to do," Hex explained. "Based on what you've told me, your brother Ciderus won't be happy about it, but it'll help in the long run."
"Ciderus?" I turned to Xephyr.
"Cider is the short version of Ciderus. His actual name is Ciderus Lycaon Tronic," he explained.
"Oh." I turned back to Hex to see what he was going to say.
"-ey were the same person, it should be relatively easy to fix Xephyr and keep him from slowly killing himself from the inside out," Hex grunted.
"Very subtle way to put it..." Xephyr rolled his eyes. When he saw my expression, he explained. "I've got some sort of virus, and my coding is slowly becoming more corrupted. Give it more time, and it'll start deteriorating until I'm nothing but dust."
I stared at him, stunned. How could someone be so calm when they know that they are slowly dying? "How long has that been happening...?"
"This may sound odd, but ever since I was separated from Zephyr."
"What does that even mean....?"
"Like I said before, long story. A week or so."
"...okay then."
"Hey," Hex growled at Xephyr. "What do you say? Zephyr will be with me for a week or so, so I have time to examine his coding. Then you come over and we'll be done. Deal?"
"How much will the equipment cost?" Chronos asked, his gaze narrowing. "I don't think Zephyr is going to be staying with you."
"Not for sale, buddy," Hex grunted. "Deal or no deal."
"This is super shady. Let's go, we can find someone else who knows what to do," Xephyr got up and grabbed Zephyr by the arm. "I can wait to avoid this guy."
Zephyr looked at him with concern. "Are you-"
Hex grabbed Zephyr by the arm, his gaze reddening. Xephyr and Chronos as reacted immediately. They grabbed Hex, pulling him away from a startled Zephyr. "That's your choice. Seris, come on, ignore them. You clearly don't know a fair deal when you see one."
"Says that hermit-" Chronos slapped a hand over Xephyr's mouth, muffling the insult.
Hex growled and grabbed one of my horns. I squeaked in pain as he jerked it, forcing me to stand up. He let go and went back into his 'lab'. I gave the three an apologetic glance before following Hex.

Shara listened at what they said. "I say we track him down and force him to give it stuff we need up," Cider grunted. If he's not making sure Xephyr does anything, he's being overly salty about anything to do with Xephyr himself.
Zephyr sighed. "I heard him say something about looking at my code so he knows what to do with Xephyr's...so maybe you're can figure something out yourself?"
"I can try, but where will I find equipment like that? Plus, I don't know how to properly fix corrupted coding. I may do more damage than good..." Shara sighed, looking out the window at the planet we were going by. Suddenly, her face lit up. "I have an idea!" she bolted into the cockpit and the ship immediately started moving.
Cider ended up falling over from the sudden change in speed, and Xephyr soon followed. Zephyr and Chronos held onto the safety railing on the ship's wall to avoid falling over.
Just out the window, a massive green snake as long as the ship itself flew by, roaring. The ship didn't stop, entering the planet's atmosphere with much speed that it was surprising that it didn't get set aflame.
Shara soon landed the ship in a clearing. The door of the ship opened and she stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air. "Ah, Pokémon!" she sighed, nostalgic. Zephyr peered out of the ship only for an owl-like Pokémon to land on him. He held it in his hands, not sure how to feel. Shara turned and motioned for them to come outside. "C'mon, welcome to the world of Pokémon!"
