*Chapter Twenty Three*
Technically this is still one of the chapters that are the reason I made this work Mature, but we do get some fluff
It appeared to be a tall bipedal plush rabbit, with the appearance similar to a poorly made fursuit. It had a purple blood streaked vest with an equally bloody bow tie, and at most of its joints, the fursuit was ripped open to reveal bloody muscle. Its humanlike hands were streaked in the fluid, and so was its face. Its lower jaw was torn open, revealing another bloody jaw underneath that one. It was dark yellow, kind of like the color of honey except less orange, with its tummy being a light, dull pastel yellow. Its whiskers twitched, looking for any remaining sign of life in the pile of meat and bone laying in a bloody heap before it.
Then it shrank down, becoming more and more human until it was Matthew, alive and heavily damaged, collapsing on the forest floor. He had many rips and tears in his frail body, and his stomach had been ripped open.
"I killed it." He whimpered over and over. "I killed it, I killed it."
He curled up into a ball, starting to cry. He pulled on the rabbit ears that didn't go away in an attempt to muffle his sobs.
Against his better judgement, Ahaki came over and sat on his knees beside him.
"Mattie?" he whispered, stroking his bloody cheek. "It's okay."
Ahaki didn't fear him, even though he just saw him change back from a ten foot tall monster. This was still Matthew, his sweet little bunny.
Matthew let go of his ears, lifting his head off the ground to look at him.
"I..." Without warning he grabbed Ahaki and kissed him fiercely.
Ahaki at first didn't kiss back, but finally relaxed and did so, holding Matthew close to himself. He tasted of metal, and as Ahaki pressed closer, Matthew's blood stained his clothes.
"I'm sorry." Matthew whimpered when he pulled away. "I'm sorry I disappeared without warning, I'm sorry I've been distant."
"It's okay, Mattie, it's okay." Ahaki kissed his cheek.
Matthew stood up, trying his hardest to smile. Then he looked at the corpse. "I'm going to get rid of that thing once and for all."
He picked up the discarded hockey stick. As soon as he touched it, the blade reappeared.
Matthew had tried to drag the body into the well, but had no strength left.
"I'rl do that. You're hurt badly, I won't let you hurt yourself further." Ahaki grabbed the handle of the hockey stick. He then finished what Matthew started, listening to the corpse land in the well with a disgusting plop.
"One more thing." Matthew tossed in a small black key. "There."
He staggered back down the path, taking the bag.
Inside was a very distressed Lewis.
"You could have been KILLED!" the doll screamed in his ear.
"I wasn't killed, though." Matthew rolled his eyes, coming right back to Ahaki.
"I can get you home, if you want." Ahaki told him. "But you need to go to a hospital. My mother is a doctor, she can patch you up."
Matthew looked up at him, collapsing in his chest. "P-please..."
He didn't get the chance to explain before losing consciousness.
"I'll take you home with me, she'll patch you up." Ahaki kissed his forehead, taking the poor kid and the black bag that was soaked in blood and carrying them to his house.
