Chapter 6
I ran around trying to help everyone that I could. So far, I've pulled merchants away from fire, saved a few villagers from being stomped on by one of the dragons, and rescued a few more villagers from the sewers.
I pulled out my spellbook, and recited a few different water spells that Wag taught me. Within minutes, the fires were no longer burning. Hopefully the city can fix the crushed buildings.
I made another round around the city, making sure that there was nothing else that needed my attention.
When I neared the library, I felt compelled to go in. It was as if something wanted me to go in there. I felt myself start walking towards the door.
I pushed open the large oak doors, and walked in. Nothing seemed out of place. What wanted me in here then?
"Ah, there you are. I thought I felt your presence." I froze. Who the hell was that? I didn't see anyone when I walked in.
Slowly, I turned around. A few yards from me, was a man. He was wearing dark grey robes with black lining. He was very similar to Wag, with the robes, and the fact that I couldn't see his face whatsoever. The only thing I could see, were haunting, red, glowing eyes. They had no pupils at all.
"W-who are you?" I stuttered. This man sent chills down my spine.
He gave a hearty chuckle. "I go by many names. Scholars of countless realms call me World Historian."
He paused, only to look me dead in the eye. "You yourselves know me as the Shadows."
I could feel the fear build up in me, and I knew that my face instantly became pale. This man was that Shadows that we encountered back in the old world? How?
If I could see his face, I knew that he would be grinning. "It's simply really. All I have to do, is to follow you. You are in possession of the most god quintessence. Your god and you have a very strong and bold relationship. It makes you very easy to track down and follow. Just know, Jordan, that you are the reason that I am coming after you and your friends. I tracked you down. I'll leave you with that." He stuck his arms out, and red and black glow covered them, before he teleported away.
I tried shaking off the feeling of dread, but it didn't seem to want to go away. Was I really the cause of all of my friends being potentially targeted?
Taking one last glance around, I quickly exited the library. I don't want to go back there for a long time. Outside, I saw that at least two of the Enderdragons had been taken out. I smiled. Tom could slay mobs and bosses quickly if he wanted to.
I spotted said man near the front gates, and flew over there to him.
"Tom! How are you holding up out here?" He was panting, but he had been working hard. Enderdragons were no easy boss to beat.
"I'm doing good out here. Could use a bit of help, though. You get all of the villagers outta there?"
"Yeah, they were all good. There was this really creepy dude in the li-" I was cut off by one of the remaining Enderdragons coming at us. It tried to swipe at us, but missed.
Tom let out a slur of choice words, and took off after the dragon. I flew after him, to find him finishing the beast off.
He looked around for a moment. "I think that was the last one." I nodded, noticing that there really wasn't another dragon in the sky.
"Should we head home then? You look pretty beat." He looked exhausted, honestly.
Tom gave a small nod as he dropped to the ground.
"Yeah, I'm dead tired, mate. I don't feel like flying, so I'm just gonna walk for a bit."
I returned a nod, and we set off for home.

First off, I'm really sorry for not updating. I've been unbelievably busy with volleyball and school. There were some nights that I didn't get him until 10.
Good news, my season is over! That means you all get more updates! :D
I tried to make this chapter a bit longer, as an apology.
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Let me know if you did!
