~1 month later~
It's been a month since I started as an officer. Things have been doing just fine until now, when Taeyong and I were put on a very important assignment.
~1 hour before work~
I woke up early and decided to go to Jaehyun's cafe. I walk in the store and see Taeyong sitting alone drinking a cup of coffee. There was also another cup in front of him. Weird. I sit across from him.

"Good morning. What brings you here early?" I ask. "I just couldn't sleep, how about you?" "Yeah same, I don't know why, but I felt like that something important was going to happen today." I say back. He nods silently and then takes a sip of his coffee. He looks at me and then the coffee that was in front of me.

"Aren't you going to drink your coffee?" He asks. My eyes widen in surprise. "This is for me?" "Yeah, who else did I buy it for? Drink it before it gets cold." He tells me. "Oh thank you *takes sip* but how did you know I was coming here?" How did he know?? Is he psychic?? "I had a feeling you were going to come." He replies giving off a small smile.

"You're impressive Taeyong."

"I know."

His small smile turns into a smirk. Is he up to something? Before I could ask him something, Jaehyun comes. "Good morning Y/N, looks like you couldn't sleep either." He said.

I check the time and see that it was almost time till work. "Oh, I wish I could talk more Jaehyun, but I gotta go, you too Taeyong." I inform getting up. "Yes ma'am." Taeyong says trying not to laugh. "Watch it." I say, looking him dead to the eye. "Woah ok squirt but don't hurt me." He says sarcastically. I was getting mad actually. He did this on purpose!

"I'll pour coffee on your head again." I threaten. "No, pour this Double Chocolaty chip Frappuccino with extra whip and a shot of espresso." Jaehyun suggests handing me the drink. Now, this drink was HUGE. If I drank it, it would be like eating an extra large BIGMAC at McDonalds.

I smirk and look at Taeyong who was not smiling anymore. "That's what I thought." I give the drink back to Jaehyun and we both have a good laugh at Taeyong. "I'll get you back for this Y/N." He says seriously. "You said that last time." I point out. Jaehyun is just laughing the whole time.  "Touché squirt."

"You can stop calling me squirt."

"No." he says back.

"Is there a fight going on?" Doyoung asks coming up from behind. I met all his friends during the month that I was here. "Well hello Doyoung." Jaehyun says greeting him. "He really doesn't need to be involved." Taeyong said. "I actually kind of do." Doyoung stats back. "Um actually no so will you excuse me, me and this squirt are going to be late for work." Taeyong replies leading me out the door. "I told you to stop calling me squirt." "Never."

~now at work~
Right on time! "Morning." I hear from beside me. I see Minhyuk waving at me with a smile. "Morning to you too." I reply politly. The door slams open. "GOOD MORNING OFFICERS!'' Jungguk shouts very seriously.

"Today we will have a normal day, but each person gets an hour extra today to work." Chanyeol says. That means I'll have to work later than usual. "Y/N and Taeyong, stay here after we dismiss." Chanyeol continues. Taeyong and I nod understanding. Cheif Jungguk goes on with assignments and dismisses us, except Taeyong and I.

Jungguk and Chanyeol come to our table and pull up chairs to sit with us. "Ok, the reason we asked you to stay behind, is because we have a very important case we are going to give you." Chanyeol tells us. "There has been a child missing for weeks now. We want you to find her. We don't know if she got kidnapped, ran away, or anything else that is possible. The parents are worried sick. The famlily is from Daegu, so you guys will have to leave Seoul to there and investigate. Here is the information on the child and people that are related to her and friends. This is a very important case. We want you to do this. You will have to check in the Daegu police station so they know we sent someone for this case. Do you have any questions?" Jungguk says all at once. I almost tear up at the news, but I must keep professional.

"Why are we asked to do this instead of the Daegu police?" Taeyong asks. You could tell that his voice was filled with worry and sadness for the child. "Daegu police did not want to take this case because they have other very important cases to do. They gave this to us beacause currently nothing busy is going on." Chanyeol answers. "When do we start?" I ask. "You must be in Daegu in within two days time. They will tell us when you arrive." Jungguk answers for me. "You are dismissed."

Both chiefs get up, leaving me and Taeyong alone in the room. I pick up the files on the case. I stand up and so does he. "Are you sure you can do this?" he asks coming closer to me. "Yeah. I'm confident. I came here to help people. I will go through anything to find this child." I reply, trying not to cry. Taeyong then engulfs me into a hug. "Me too squirt."

Yay! Update! Next chapter will be Y/N's past and after that will continue on to the story itself.
