"Wake up, little sis. It's time for school." The monotone voice of your eldest sister woke you up.

"Huh..? What-" Your words were overpowered by the sound of your door slamming shut, making you jolt upwards. "Good morning to you also..." You sighed and rubbed the sleep out of your eyes. You then sat up in your bed and stretched your arms over your head. Once the majority of your drowsiness had left your body, you began your daily morning routine.

You threw the covers off your body and pulled yourself away from the comfort of your bed. You then cracked your back before making your way into the bathroom. Inside the bathroom, you picked up your toothbrush from its place and slabbed on a small amount of toothpaste and brushed your teeth. Once you were finished with that chore, you began to wash your face.

Once you had finished your daily duties in the bathroom, you immediately made a beeline for your closet and rummaged around for your school uniform. You pulled out your usual clothes and grimaced at the long navy blue skirt. You hated wearing this thing. The piece of fabric was always getting caught on something.

Once you were fully dressed, you exited your room, ready to greet the rest of your family. You dashed down the large staircase and the moment you got to the bottom, you were greeted by the robot maid of the house, Laura.

"Good morning, miss (Y/N). Did you sleep well?" She inquired. You gave her a small smile and nodded.

"Yes. Or at least I did until I had to wake up." You said as you gave your sister a tired glare. Your older sister ignored you and continued to tap away at her phone. You shook your head at her. Sometimes you asked yourself how you were even related to her. Laura was about to elaborate on your comment when your mother cleared her throat.

"(Y/N), your breakfast is growing cold." She said. You looked down at your plate of buttered toast and pressed your lips into a thin line.

"Mom, isn't two pieces of buttered toast not much?" You pointed out. Your mother frowned at you and straightened in her seat.

"You can't have too much to eat, (Y/N). A proper lady-" You sighed.

"A proper lady doesn't eat a big breakfast." You said as you mimicked your mother's voice. Your mother opened and closed her mouth before giving you a look of disapproval.

"A proper lady also doesn't speak back or interrupt her mother." She told. You mentally shook your head at her. You then sat down in your designated seat at the dining table. Seriously, why did she have to be so naggy all of the time? Your father sat beside you with his usual cup of coffee and morning paper and gave you a sympathetic look with a small smile. He then leaned over to you and ruffled your hair.

"Don't worry, kiddo. I've made sure that you'll get a hearty lunch today." He whispered and gave you a small wink. You smiled at him and dug into your food. Soon, the second oldest sister entered the dining room and plopped herself down beside your mother.

"Good morning, Mom!" She greeted with a large smile. Your mother returned her smile.

"Good morning, Camie. Did you sleep well?" She asked. Camie nodded as her fork hovered over her salad.

"Yeah. I had a ratchet dream! You want to hear it?" Your youngest sister, (S/N), smiled cheerfully at her and jumped up and down in her seat.

"I do, I do!" She exclaimed. Your mother rested her hand on her head, ceasing her frantic movement.

"Now now, (S/N). that is not how you act at the dining table." She scolded. Your sister pouted at her and drooped her head slightly.

"I'm sorry." She whimpered. Your mother's frown was immediately replaced with a happy smile and she brought the small 4-year old into her arms.

"Aw, it' s okay, my little angel." She gushed. You frowned at your mother. Why couldn't she be as forgiving with you? You watched with a straight face as your mother immediately began to pamper your younger sister with a new frilly pink dress. When did she even get that? You were knocked out of your thoughts when your eldest sister finished her plate and stood up without ever looking away from her phone.

"I'm excusing myself." She deadpanned and walked over to the lounge room. Your mother frowned and looked up at her.

"Eliza, you are eighteen years old. You need to spend more time away from your phone and spend it with your family!" She nagged. Your sister only waved to her before grabbing her things and leaving the house. You watched her as you stuffed your cheeks with the piece of toast. You then swallowed your food and glanced up at the time to see that you had ten minutes before you had to leave for school.

Finishing the rest of your plate, you looked up at your mother stood up.

"May I please be excused?" You asked. Your mother nodded.

"You may." You pushed yourself out of your seat and made your way over to the couch where your father had done so before. You were about to sit next to him when your mother's voice interrupted you. "Ah ah ah. (Y/N), you need to start walking to school." She said. Your eyes widened and you turned towards her.

"Why now?" You questioned. Your mother tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before answering.

"You'll be late otherwise. And a lady is never late. So hurry along now. The maid will be waiting at the door with your lunch." She explained. You let out an annoyed breath and turned towards the front door. You then walked over to Laura who held your school bag and lunch box with a smile.

"Have a nice day, Miss (Y/N)." She said and handed you your things. You smiled at her and took them from her.

"Thanks, Laura. I'll see you when I get back." You said. The robot maid nodded and waved to you as you left the house. Your father stuck his head out of the lounge room and waved to you.

"See you later, kiddo!" He said. You waved goodbye to him and shrugged your backpack over your shoulders. You then began your trek down the footpath and towards the school.

At the school, you kept to yourself as the girls bustled around you trying to get to their classes. There was not a single boy to be seen in sight. Not so surprising, after all, you went to a prestigious all-girls school meant to turn young girls into ladies. Your sisters attended that school and your mother did before you, so there wasn't much of a choice for you to go to another school. You were careful not to drag your feet across the pavement as you headed off to your first class. English Literature. Yuck. Sure, you loved to write stories, but writing haikus and analyzing persuasive pieces just weren't your thing.

You brushed your hands against the light wood handle of the staircases as you ascended to your classroom. Honestly, why did your class have to be all the way at the top? You reached the top of the staircase and moved towards the classroom on the right. You then slid the door open and walked over to your seat. The girls in front of you were giggling hysterically to themselves.

"You know the sports captain of Tagane's all boys school? I heard that he's single and is looking to mingle." She said. You frowned at their choice of topic. 'Its all about boys I hear these days.' You thought to yourself. You set your things down on your desk and took a seat. You then rested your chin against your palm and turned your attention away from the hustle and bustle inside of the classroom and out the window. 'I wish I could just leave this place.' You thought to yourself.

The sound of the school bell ringing in your ears brought you out of your thoughts. You looked forwards just as the teacher entered the classroom, ready to start the day. 'Well, back to the daily grind.' You grimaced and straightened your back. You had lost count of how many canes you had received because of your slouchy posture. The teacher spared you a short glance before turning back to the board and starting the lesson.

After school, you let yourself drag your feet against the pavement. Every single day was a mental strain for you, and that school was the main cause of it. Your stomach rumbled and you rested your hand against your stomach. You hadn't eaten your lunch, again. You just couldn't. If you ate in front of everyone, you would be judged for it. Everyone would look down on you for having such a hearty lunch.

Your stomach rumbled again, making you frown. You had to stop somewhere and eat something! You observed your surroundings, looking for a place to sit. To your delight, you spotted a bench situated just under a tree and walked over to it. You brushed the fallen leaves aside and sat yourself down in a comfortable manner. Once you had yourself settled, you took out your lunch box and eyed its contents. It's just as your father had said, your bento box was filled with all sorts of goodies.

You silently thanked your father and began to dig into your food. Tears then swelled up in your eyes as the almost godlike taste tingled your tastebuds. Who knew that food could taste so good? You happily ate into your lunch without a care in the world. That is, until a familiar voice called out to you.

"Sup, (Y/N)!" Your head shot up and to your surprise, Camie was waving to you with her friends. You gulped down your food and shoved your lunch box into your bag before standing up to greet her.

"Hey, Camie. Are you going out with your friends again?" You asked, wiping away the excess food on your face. Camie nodded.

"Totally. Say, where are your friends at?" She questioned and looked around. You turned your face away from her out of embarrassment.

"Um, I-I'm walking home alone today." You stuttered. There was no way you could tell her about your lack of friends! The second eldest out of your siblings gave you a sad knowing smile and ruffled your hair, then placed her hand on her hip.

"Can you tell Mom that I won't be home until later?" She asked. You nodded and patted down your hair.

"Sure." Camie smiled at you and reached down to you. You smiled to yourself while also grimacing slightly as she gave you a wet and sloppy kiss on the cheek, leaving behind reminisces of her bright red lipstick. "Thanks fam! You're the best!" She exclaimed. You nodded and took out a handkerchief to wipe the lipstick off. Camie waved to you before running off with her friends. You watched her run off before turning your back to her. This was a common occurrence for you. You would often run into your sister on your way home from school and she would tell you the same message over and over again.

With your backpack in one hand, you continued your trip back home. You were not looking forward to the ramblings of your mother. Sometimes you envied your sister. Even though she was only seventeen, she held so much freedom compared to you. You didn't have nearly as much freedom as she did. Your life was surrounded by boundaries and the rules of a lady. You bit your lip and looked down at your feet as you walked. If being a lady meant so much misery, then you didn't want to become a lady.

~~~
When you arrived back at home, you handed your bag to Laura and walked passed her. Laura watched you sadly as you entered your room and shut the door behind you. She then proceeded to empty your bag and place it on the coat hanger, ready for tomorrow.
You fell face first into your bed and let out a hefty sigh. Before you could get any time to yourself, a quick and rather loud knocking was sounded against the door. Before you could even answer, (S/N) pushed open the door and ran over to you with a bundle of fabric in her arms.
"Welcome home, big sister!" She exclaimed as she jumped onto your bed. A small smile tugged at the corner of your lips and you glanced up at her.
"Hi, (S/N). What's that you got there?" You questioned as you sat up. Your sister smiled at you and held out a (F/C) scarf.
"It's a new scarf! Mommy and I went shopping today and I bought this for you!" She admitted and held it out to you. Your eyes widened and you took the scarf from her.
"Really? Aw, thanks, (S/N)!" You said and brought her into your arms. Your younger sister giggled at you and leaned into your warmth. You laughed and brushed your fingers through her soft (H/C) locks. She was honestly the cutest thing on Earth with her big round (E/C) eyes and plump cheeks. Your sister pulled herself away from you and smiled brightly at you.
"I'm going to go and help make dinner!" She said. You nodded and watched as she rolled off your bed and ran out the door. That one was always filled with energy. You looked down at your scarf and smiled softly at it. You then pressed it against your face and felt its warmth. It was very soft and smelled extremely nice. You would be sure to cherish it.
~~~

The next day, the same routine commenced. Your eldest sister would rudely wake you up, you would do your morning routine, then you would eat breakfast. Yep, the same old routine. You munched lightly on your toast while struggling to not spill any of the melted butter onto your pure white blouse. However, this time, there was a new accessory to add to your daily outfit. The soft scarf that your sister gave you. It was getting considerably cold and if you weren't careful, you might end up catching a cold.

As you finished eating, you noticed that your sister was smiling at you the whole time. You smiled back at her and stood back from the dining table.

"May I please be excused?" You asked. Your mother nodded.

"You may." You hurriedly speed walked over to your father and practically threw yourself into the couch. You went to smile up at your father however, his eyes were glued to the screen, peaking your curiosity. What could be so interesting in the news? You turned your gaze towards the television screen.

"And the robot hero has done it yet again!" The news reporter raved. "He has saved the town from the-" You sucked in a sharp breath when the tv turned black while your father groaned and looked up at your mother. Your mother stood beside you with the television remote in her hand. She then tossed the remote to your father and turned towards you with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Young ladies should not be watching such gruesome things," she shook her head. "Come on you, you only have a few minutes until you have to start walking to school. Where is your school blazer and hat?" She sternly questioned you.

"I uhh..-" Before you could try to recall its whereabouts, your blazer was thrown over your head.

"(Y/N) left them on the kitchen counter, she's forgetful AF." That was Camie.

"Come on now, (Y/N). Put it on and get ready to go." Your mother rushed you. You took the blazer from your head and straightened it out. By this point, your mother was growing impatient. "Chop chop, you don't have all morning." A small sigh escaped your lips as you pulled your arms through the itchy and tight blazer. Your school needed a serious wardrobe change.

You stood up from the comfy sofa and walked towards the dining room where your lunch and backpack sat next to your two sisters. You picked up your lunch and placed it into your bag.

"Thanks for making us our lunches." You smiled at Laura, who nodded her head in response.

"You know you shouldn't waste your breath on robots, (Y/N)." Eliza butted in behind you as she pushed down on your head whilst grabbing her own lunch. Camie nodded in agreement.

"Mhm, I know that you're, like, desperate for friends and all, but they don't really care if you say thank you or not." She added on as she pushed you to the side to grab her belongings as well. You frowned at her.

"I still think I should. It doesn't cost anything to be polite." You said and straightened out your school cap. The two sisters glanced at each other before turning towards their mother.

"Mom, (Y/N) is being weird again." Eliza said. You frowned at her and turned your back to her.

"Oh whatever!" You snapped before marching your way towards the door. Your father and (S/N) winced as the door slammed shut. Your mother frowned in disapproval and shook her head.

"That child, honestly." She muttered under her breath. Your father slurped on his coffee in an attempt to lighten the mood. However, he only received backlash from your uptight mother.

~~~
You eyed your small lunch with a frown as your classmates talked amongst themselves. In your lunchbox was only a butter sandwich with a light salad. Could this even be called lunch? You bit your lip and closed the top of your lunch box. Once again, you couldn't eat in this classroom. Why was it so difficult to eat just one meal? No, this could hardly be called even that. This was a snack, and nothing more.
Before you could ponder on your sore excuse for a lunch any longer, the school bell rang, signaling the start of next period. You let out a tired sigh and slipped your lunch box back into your backpack. You felt absolutely miserable at this school. You wanted to leave so badly, but... 'She would surely get mad at me if I told her that...' You thought solemnly to yourself and struggled to hold in your tears.
You shook your head and slapped your hands onto your cheeks. You couldn't cry, not here. As this stupid school would have it, ladies don't cry. You breathed in deeply through your nose and plastered a forced smile onto your face.
~~~

"Yo yo yo." A hand placed itself on your Breton hat. "Hey there space cadet." You didn't need to turn around to know who was behind you.

"Need me to tell Mom you're going to be home late?" You asked.

"Yasss, thank you!" Camie smiled and clapped her hands together. "I can't even- you're the best sista eva!" She hugged you from behind.

You nodded and smiled a little. "Sure." She then let go.

"See ya later bae!" She squished down your hat again and ran off with her friends. And with that, you began walking home once again.

Another long sigh emitted from your mouth that could be seen in the cold air. Today was just as mentally and physically draining as the last. Your eyes blankly stared at your feet as you made your way back home. You tried to think of things that could cheer you up in your moment of everlasting sadness. 'Maybe I'll stop by the arcade and play some games...' You then shook your head and ran your hands through your hair. 'Who am I kidding? If I was seen in a place like that in my uniform, word would surely get out to my Mom.' As your thoughts read themselves out in your mind, you bumped into someone, pulling you out of your own thoughts. The bump made you loosen the grip on your bag and it hit the floor.

"Ah, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you." You looked up to see who your perpetrator was, only to be faced with a strange looking boy. He had black hair styled in two horns. His hair was... charming, in its own little way. You blinked a few times and reached down for your bag, but the boy had already picked it up.

"Oh uh- No! It's okay, I wasn't exactly paying attention to what was ahead of me either." The boy stood up straight and handed you your bag. You both looked each other up and down, he was wearing a light blue T-Shirt and denim shorts with a school bag on his back. He had no uniform, unlike you. You took the bag and thanked him, but it seemed he wanted to start a conversation with you.

"That uniform... You must go to a pretty fancy school!" He smiled brightly at you.

"Oh." You looked down at your uniform and smiled lopsidedly. "Yeah, unfortunately." You dropped the fake smile. 'Crap! Why did I go an say that??'

"Unfortunately?" He tilted his head to the side.

"O-Oh well, you see, my school is just really strict! That's all, anyway sorry again." You waved to him and began to speed walk away.

"Hey wait a sec!" The boy began to jog after you. "Where are you heading to?"

You slowed down to let him catch up to you. 'He's trying to walk with me?' "Just home." You shrugged. "What about you?" Since he was walking beside you, it would've been rude not to spark a conversation with him.

"I'm walking home too. I decided to take the shortcut today so I can get home to my family quicker." He smiled and gripped onto his backpack.

You looked ahead of yourself. It must be nice to actually have the drive to want to get back home. "Have you got any siblings?" You asked.

"Yeah, I've got a little sister named Zoran. She's really cute but can be a bit of a pest some times." He chuckled. "What about you?"

"I have three sisters, one younger and two older." You smiled tiredly at him.

"Woah! That's a big family." He gaped.

"Yeah, it can sometimes be a hassle at home." You put your hand out to him. "I'm (Y/N) by the way." He shook it.

"Hi (Y/N), I'm Astro." He introduced himself. "Say, before didn't you mention you didn't like your school? Why is that?"

You clenched your jaw. "Ah, well you see, my Mom enrolled me into a really fancy school that has a tone of rules, but I'd just prefer to attend an easy going school, you know?"

He nodded and rubbed his chin. "Why don't you tell her you'd like to go to a different school?"

You laughed. "I couldn't do that. Everyone in my family has gone to my school. Plus, my Mom agrees with the morals they teach there." You shrugged. As you glanced at your surroundings, you saw that you were closing in on your home. "What's your school like?"

"It's fun and they teach interesting things in cool ways. I've got a few friends there who like it too." He looked to the path ahead.

"Sounds cool." You looked at the street. "Well, this is my stop, it was nice talking to you, Astro." You smiled and shifted the scarf around your neck to loosen it up.

"Yeah, it was nice-" Just then, a strong wind blew. It blew your hair up and you closed your eyes to avoid getting dust in them. That's when you felt the heat around your neck dissipate. You gasped and turned around to see your scarf blow up into the air.

"My scarf!" You tried to reach for it, but it was too far gone. Just as you were about to run for it, you felt heat admit from beside you. Astro flew up to grab your scarf from in the air. You gaped at the sight of the boy flying with rockets on his feet. You didn't think about him being a robot until now.

After retrieving the soft item, he landed back down on the ground and stepped closer to you.

"You know, if you really want to go to a regular school, you should try to talk to your Mom about it. After all, it's your life. Not theirs."

He smiled brightly at you. Why did this boy want to help you so much? He seemed genuinely interested in what you had to say and listened with intent. You slowly took the scarf from his hands, your mouth still wide open.

"T-Thanks... I will." You blinked and few times then nodded, closing your mouth.

"Well, I guess I'll see you around, bye (Y/N)!" He waved to you and began to run off. You stood there for a moment, processing what had just occurred. You gulped and stood up straight.

"Wow." You placed the scarf around your neck and continued to walk home with wide eyes.

~~~
Once you got home, you opened the door into your warm house and walked it. You took off your shoes and bit the inside of your cheek. You furrowed your brow 'Maybe... Maybe I will talk to Mom and dad about it!' You hung up your hat and scarf on the rack near the door and greeted Laura and handed her your bag. "Mom? Dad?"
"We're in the kitchen kiddo!"
You puffed up your chest and made your way into the kitchen. "I want to talk to you guys." You held your hands behind your back.
"What is it?" Your mother turned away from the kitchen sink to face you as your father put down his newspaper to look at you.
"I... I want to move schools!"
