Prologue: Converse?🌟

{♡Lianna's POV♡}

Okay, I admit. I've watched all sorts of things. I've read many different books as well. These protagonists are always given some surprise visit and reason to go to some school. It happened in Dream high, it happened in Boys over Flower. To be honest, I thought it was cool. But I did not expect it to happen to me irl. Me, Aillieanna Amberly Cortez Aison-Hyun. But here I am, infront of a school over a thousand miles from home. I'm finally here... at Converse High.

[¤Narrator's POV¤]

Now, let's go back in time a little bit shall we? Precisely 1 week ago.

▪~🕠~▪

"Mom, what do you mean we're moving? It's February 23rd! School has already started if you didn't notice." She whined

"We're moving to South Korea to stay with your dad darling." Her mom replied calmly

"During the second semester of school!?" She exclaimed

"In South Korea, the new school year starts on March 2nd."

"So I'm basically repeating the grade." She said in irritation

"Not exactly baby, look at it this way. You've done the tutorial, now it's time for the real thing." She said, "besides, it won't be so hard, you're fluent."

"Ugh!" She growled as she stormed off to her room. And just like that, the next week flew by.

Her mom packed up her suitcase while she slept the night before and on the day, she woke up to an almost empty room.

She looked around her room sadly, this was real. She crawled out of bed and into the shower to freshen up.

She dressed up in a black shortsleeved crop top, black skinny jeans, a flannel and black boots

((Basically this))

She stepped out of her room and picked up her phone, February 26th, 4:35am

"Hey guys, I know you're probably asleep, but I'm leaving. I'll talk to you guys later... Bye." She said, sending the voice mail before turning off her phone. As she walked down the stairs, she noted how bare the house looked now that everything had been packed away. She sighed as she sat at the island one last time. She still had about six hours left before the flight, but they had to be out of the house and on the road to the airport in 15 minutes.

"Do you have everything you need? It's gonna be a long flight." Her mom said and she nodded softly. Her mom gave her a hug, "don't worry sweetheart, you'll be fine. Ailee fighting!" She said in a korean accent, causing Ailee to crack a smile.

"고맙습니다 (gomabseubnida) {thank you}." She said before they got in the car. It may have been four in the morning, maybe five, but the roads were busy for some reason, and partnered with the fact that they lived far from the airport, it took a total of 3 hours and 45 minutes for them to reach the airport.

"Ailee, wake up. We're here." Her mom cooed.

"In Korea?" She asked grogily

"No, at the airport." Her mom said with a laugh, helping her out of the car.

"What time is it?" She asked

"8:40, let's go, our flight's for 10." Her mom said and she nodded in response as they collected their suitcases from the trunk and rolled them in with their bags.

They went to check in their suitcases, her mom had already paid the uber driver at the house. They only used one because they sent their car over earlier. After they checked in their suitcases and collected their bording passes, Ailee heard her name and turned, and there behind her were all her friends lined up by the door, some teary eyed. Others sporting sad smiles and encouraging looks. She ran over and hugged them. That is where she acquired the friendship bracelet she treasures over everything.

Everyone gave their goodbyes and she hurried away to prevent herself from crying. It was over.

There's something about airports that just brings a feeling of despair, because it's there that everything is revealed to be real. You're really leaving... and there's no telling when you'll come back. ---Ailee♡
