I Need Somethimg Cleared Up Please.
Ok. So I read in a book that The Stones got their name from a Muddy Waters song. We all know that. Right?😊
The song being called:'Rolling Stone' And I thought ok, Muddy has a song with that same tittle, but....... that's not the case according to a Brian Jones book I'm reading.
The book says:"Brian suggested 'The Rolling Stones', a line from Muddy Waters song 'Mannish Boy'(LOVE that song) Ian thought it sounded corny, the rest of them went for it.'-Brian Jones:The Making Of The Rolling Stones, by Paul Trynka(all credit to her and The Stones)
So, Muddy Waters has two of the following songs:'Mannish Boy' and 'Rolling Stone'. One book I read called:'The Rolling Stones' said they got their name from the song 'Rolling Stone'. 'Brian Jones:The Making Of The Rolling Stones' book, says they got it from a completely different song(Mannish Boy).
So my question for Charlie, Mick, Keith, Ian, Ronnie, Taylor, Bill, and Brian is:"Which one is it guys?"
Do any of you guys know?
Please let me know, I'm sorta, sorta, confused.
And remember, rock on!🎸
