Cells
Simeon hadn't lied to her when he said he would do anything for her. He had gone above and beyond what she had ever imagined he would do.
He lay with her at night when she felt the grief over take her. He dedicated hours each day to walking with her around the compound so she could get used to moving again and get some fresh air. He helped bathe her even when she was flaming red and begging him to give her privacy and more importantly he showed her that he cared. He listened to her fears and comforted her, he held her near when she was sick from crying and he fed her when she felt too weak to do so.
He had donated bags of blood to help with her healing. He answered every question she asked, he left nothing upturned. She knew everything that was happening inside the camp and exactly where Sonja currently was. He gave her everything she asked for all except one thing.
"I want to see her!" His eyes rolled heavenwards, there was no greeting from her when he entered the tent just straight down to the demands and this demand was one he wasn't willing to give.
"Good afternoon, pójdźka, how are you doing to day?" He questioned completely ignoring her previous words and moving further into the room.
"Simeon! Don't pretend you didn't hear me!" She screeched leaning forwards in the bed as if she was ready to attack him.
A smile spread across his face at her behaviour, "Oh you're feeling good today? That's good. Do you want to get some fresh air." He couldn't help but enjoy winding her up, her fire was something he hadn't seen in a while. Not since she had been hurt but now, now she was definitely feeling better.
"Seriously! I'm not Fucking joking with you!" She screeched, climbing out of the bed and staggering towards him. Her feet stumbling against the carpet as she fell into his chest.
"Be easy Jana" he murmured, gripping her arm to steady her but she didn't want his assistance.
"No! You said you would give me anything but the one thing I really want you won't give me!" Her hands slapping against his chest as she fought him, knowing full we he wouldn't stop her because he was too concerned with trying to keep her upright.
A growl rumbled through his chest when one of her nails caught his lip "Jana."
"No I don't want to hear it, you either take me or I will go by myself" she cried, her fist thumping his chest in anger. Anger that was misplaced and misdirected. She wasn't mad at him, she was mad at the situation she found herself in and it seemed he was the punching bag for her to vent on.
Wrapping his arms around her still thumping hands, he pulled her body into his chest. Sighing into her hair as he rested his head on top of hers, "No one would let you in anyway."
"I will find a way, don't underestimate how determined I am," she growled, she actually growled at him as if she were a wolf. He wanted to laugh, a small snicker left his mouth but he quickly covered it up with a cough which was followed by a sigh of defeat.
He wasn't underestimating her at all, he had once and she had lodged a silver blade in his back. He had learnt his lesson then, Jana would go to many lengths to get what she wanted or to prove a point. She was determined and stubborn so he had no doubt in his mind that she would hurt herself to try and get what she wanted.
"I don't think it will help you but since you won't leave it alone, I will take you-" his voice rose over her squeaking and clapping "but the moment I think it's getting too much we are going and that is that."
As much as his gut told him this would be stupid to do, these last few days he had seen her fire coming back and it was all because of this. If he had to bring Jana in front of Sonja to get some of the old her back then he would but it didn't mean he would like it.
"I will come get you before dinner, in the meantime you have some visitors" the flap of her tent sprung open, Zosia's hair billowing around her face as she charged into the room and flew straight to the bed.
"Nana," she cried flinging her body across Jana's chest and curling into her lap as she wrapped her arms in a tight vice around Jana's neck.
"Easy Zo, Jana is still sore" grumbled Simeon, his throat gruff with affection. Seeing Zosia this way really softened his heart, she hadn't been the same since what happened and she would likely take along while to fully heal. Just the thought of what had been done to his little girl had his blood boiling but he had to remain calm in the face of his daughter.
"She's alright Alpha, why don't you let us be" his head turned towards the door at the rough female before him. Carrina was a difficult female to get along with but Simeon was thankful for all that she had done for Jana. She had been the one to staunch the blood flow on Jana's wound while Simeon had tried to kill Sonja and she had been the one making sure Sonja was roughly placed inside her cell while Simeon was tending to his mate.
She had helped Jana in those first few days when she had been unconscious, sitting with her when Simeon could not. He didn't want to trust her but the female had endeared herself to Jana, she had refused to move.
Nodding his head in reluctant agreement, he exited the tent and left the females alone, hoping that Jana could get Zosia to speak when he could not.
"How are you doing little love? Are you feeling better" Zosia made a small nodding motion within the crook of Jana's neck but refused to speak anymore.
"That's good" she murmured rubbing Zosias back and gently pulling her from her perch. "You're such a strong girl, not like me," she hummed, kissing along Zosia's hairline.
"You want to tell me what happened Zo," she asked softly, hoping that she would feel safe in her arms enough to give a name, anything. Instead big globs of tears started trickling down her cheeks, face red with tears and her face scrunched up in fear.
"Oh sweetie its okay, don't cry" she whispered into her ear, pulling Zosia back into her arms and soothing. Rocking back and forth to stop Zo's crying.
No one had seen anything untoward happening to Zosia and Sonja was adamant that she hadn't been the one to hit her, through a small technicality. And since Zosia wasn't saying names, the hold they had on Sonja was weak and soon she would start demanding her release. Time was if the essence, Sonja could not be released but they had nothing to keep her imprisoned with.
Jana was shaken from her thoughts by the sound of Carina's voice, she had forgotten the female was even here. "How are you doing" she questioned.
Thoughts ran through her mind, the real answer to that tiny menial question. She was doing shit, She was hurting, angry and depressed. Her heart felt like led and she felt utterly useless, she was at the lowest point of her life but instead she answered "I'm still here"
Carina nodded solemnly, seeing the unspoken emotions in Jana's eyes "Yes you are, you scared us for a minute there"
"I figured you would be celebrating since I put you in a similar position not too long ago," Jana snickered, though the laugh was limp and lifeless.
"There are no hard feelings, you were only doing what we provoked you to do" her body stoic, nothing moving as she stood by the exit like a statue.
"But still, the past is the past. You are our Luna now and we only want the best for you. You have my respect."
Jana scoffed, rolling her eyes as she mumbled "For now" under her breath, she doubted these wolves would feel the same when they found out she was unable to have kids.
"Anyway, I just wanted to see how you were doing before I spent sometime with Keith." When she was greeted with a slight thankful nod by Jana she made her way to the door, holding the flap open before she stopped and turned back around.
"He sends his well wishes by the way" a small smile on her face before she exited.
"I'm sure he does," she murmured sarcastically, knowing full well that he didn't. Keith didn't like her, in those short moments she had met him he had made it apparently clear that she was not welcomed. She doubted his attitude had changed so drastically towards her it was unlikely.
A sigh skipped form her lips as she settled deeper into the bed, shifting so she was lying on her side and Zosia was laying beside her, still wrapped securely in her arms. Her eyes closing even as her mind ran wild with uncontrollable thoughts.

The fight to see Sonja in the prison was all that had kept her going these days but now that he had given in, she wasn't sure what to really do. She wasn't even sure what she would say. She just knew that she needed to see that woman behind a cage, that she wouldn't rest easy until she saw it with her own two eyes.
He took her through the camp, winding around each tent until they were exiting through the woods. He pushed branches away from her face as they trudged through bushes and foliage. Their boots crunching on the grass and fallen leaves as they made their way in companionable silence. Just her heavy breathing and the sound of cracking branches filling the air.
They walked for what felt like forever but was really 10minutes until they reached a small cabin in the middle of nowhere. Two men stood outside, armed with some sort of silver weapons. At the sight of Simeon they opened the black rusted gates and allowed them to step inside. They layout was similar to the bathing Cabin only the side rooms situated beds where Simeon said the guards slept over night.
He took her towards the back, where stairs led down into pitch black darkness.
"So before we go down I should warn you that there are others down there and it won't be pretty."
Her throat became dry with anxiousness, she almost wished she hadn't demanded to come but she was here now and she wouldn't back down. Nodding her head she motioned for him to carry on down the stairs. Her hand reaching out to clasp onto his.
"Just tell me if it gets too much" and then he was pulling her along behind him, down the rocky steps and into the basement. The stench of blood and rotting corpses brought bile to her throat.
"Don't breathe through your nose" he murmured, stopping at the bottom of the steps so she could get her bearings. Her eyes watered at the sharp tang in the air, it was such a disgusting smell. Human faeces mixed with decaying bodies. The flickering lights that hung above her made the deep black liquid on the floor shine a gleaming red. Blood, she could smell it everywhere.
Gripping his hand tighter she gritted her teeth and tried not to take in the smell. Tried to stop the rolling of her stomach telling her that her acid reflux was about to kick in. "I knew I shouldn't have taken you," he tutted clearly annoyed at himself. He began ushering her back up the stairs when she looked as if she would wither into the ground but she refused to move.
Her tongue flickered out to her top lip and tasted the sour air, "I'm good" she croaked, "It just caught me by surprise."
"It's best if we don't linger too long, she's down here" he pointed towards the back of the room, where the metal bars joined in the centre.
The corridor was long and narrow and on each side of them were more metal bars with mostly men and a few women locked behind. They were dirty and living in their own squalor, grime and filth creating repugnant smells that mingled with the rank odour of their body and the tang of blood, they stunk.
At the end of the corridor was a tiny room surrounded by shining bars, a silver cage. The cell looked empty and so Jana shuffled closer trying to peer inside. Blood dropped from her chin as a claw swiped out and tried to drag her through the bars. Sonja was wild and howling as she yanked at the chain on her neck.
Simeon pushed Jana behind him, growling at the psychotic female behind the bars but his dominance only made her worse. Her hair was standing atop her head, creating a halo of blood around her head. She was deranged, canines bared as she tried to shift, her neck expanded but the silver did not break, instead it seeped into her skin burning the fur that had begun to from along her neck. Sonja dropped to the floor wailing and screaming, howling in pain as the silver began to poison her veins.
"Are you okay" his thumb swiping at the small trickles of blood along Jana's cheek, his large shoulders blocking her view of the crazy woman in the cage behind him. His hands shook as he tried to tend to her, rage rolling off him in waves. Jana knew that Simeon would return to deal with Sonja when she want here.
"That's gonna scar her pretty little face" came a voice to the side, the white sclera of his eyes gleaming back at them through the metal bars. Hair a matted red clinging to his dirty face.
"Shut up, filth" spat Simeon turning his face away from the human. The man didn't shut up though, he began hacking, squeaking and laughing as Sonja yanked at her chain and Simeon dabbed at Jana's face.
"Such pretty hair," he murmured, his hand reaching out between the bars to touch a piece of her blonde locks, Simeon's claws swiped at the mans hand before he could touch her.
"Keep your hands to yourself," he growled, jabbing the blue eyed man in the shoulder with his elongated claws. The man only chuckled louder, gripping his bleeding arm and retreating into his corner of the dark dank cell.
When Simeon was sure the man wouldn't try and touch her again he focused on wiping Jana's chin, pushing her hands away when she tried to get him to stop "Lets go" he grumbled griping her arm and yanking her down the corridor and back to the stairs.
The sing song voice of the man in the cell stopped her dead in her tracks, "Jana, tell Neema I said hello" he called, giggling to himself, his mumbles following her up the stairs and into the light of the rooms above.
"Who the fuck was that" she spat, spinning around to face Simeon as she pointed back down the stairs. Her hand was trembling in fear and she hated it, the man was behind bars but he had somehow managed to scare her nearly to death.
"He's some human male we Captured, goes by the name of victor or victorious something or the other. We found him with his son called Octavius, boys a pup and he doesn't even know it." His head shaking as he tutted his teeth.
The poor boy would soon find out that he was exactly what hat he had been raised to kill because he was about to go through his change soon.
"I bet his dad does though, fucking scum." He thundered arms folding over his chest.
"How could he not know?" She asked quizzically.
All of her siblings from young had exhibited signs that they weren't just human. Their sense had been exceptional and they had been extremely fast, there was no way they could have ever thought they were human, especially when from the age of 12 they had felt a pull to the moon.
Her youngest sister Amirah had felt the pull even younger, at 10, Jana had often caught her wondering around at night, sniffing at trees and rubbing her skin against the tree named after their aunty Vanya.
Their wolf urges had begun to kick in at the age of 14 and by the time they were 16 they had shifted, Roark had even shifted a few days early.
"I don't know how but I can smell the change approaching, he's a bit late but he will shift anytime now." Mumbled Simeon, ushering her outside of the cabin and back into the forest.
There was no way that a young Werewolf could ever confuse themselves as a human. Unless his father had been lying and brainwashing him all his life, if that was the case then Jana felt sorry for him. It would be hard for him to deal with the fact that not only was he a werewolf but that his father, the man he trusted had been manipulating him and lying to him. She was angry for Octavius.
She hoped that when he finally shifted he tore his dad a new face.
