Chapter 21
Tw: Mentions of cutting, mentions of blood
I'll Put Start And Finish When Necessary
"What do you need now?" Anderson asked tiredly. Catra held a fuming Adora back and thought for a moment. This could explain why he's been leaving a lot. But why though, he has mother.
"Father, have you been kidnapping girls?" Catra asked as Adora glared at him. He gladly returned the glare before looking at his daughter.
"That's preposterous," He said waving his hand. Catra glanced back at Adora.
"I dunno Adora, maybe he's not the man."
"You're going to believe him over me!? But you hate your father!" Adora said before looking down. Catra's eyes widened as she glanced over at Anderson. He was fuming.
"What."
"I-I uh heat of the moment?" Catra asked before taking Adora's hand and running downstairs.
"Why would you say that?" Catra asked hiding under the stairs. Adora sat down next to her and sighed.
"I don't know, I just got mad. I'm sorry, this is my fau-" Adora started but Catra had enough.
"Can you please stop saying that?" Catra said rolling her eyes. It started getting annoying that Adora was blaming herself for everything.
"But-"
"No. Stop. Just stop... ok?" Catra asked as Adora looked down. Catra realized she may have sounded harsh so she moved closer to her.
"I don't mean it meanly, I just don't want you blaming everything on yourself," Catra muttered shuffling her feet. Adora nodded and rested her head on Catra's shoulder.
"I'm still sorry though," Adora whispered as Catra took her phone out. She started texting her mother to call the police as Adora thought about her mistake. I'm so stupid, who knows what could've happened to them. Why won't Catra let me help- unless she's a part of this.
Adora looked over at Catra. She looked really worried and quite scared. Adora shook her head. She wouldn't do that. That's unlike her.
"Come on, show me where it is," Catra said standing up from under the stairs. Adora stood up right after her and the two walked down the hall. Catra had no idea where her father was and she had no idea where she was going. Adora looked around the hallway in discomfort.
"Catra where exactly are we going?" Adora asked holding Catra's hand. Catra stopped and finally took a moment to look around. She recognized this area, and not the good kind.
"Um... oh no. Not here, um-" She started looking around but Adora cut her off.
"Why?" Catra turned her head towards her and Adora raised an eyebrow.
"What? I don't like this area too but-"
"Perfect, so let's go," Catra said walking away. Adora sighed and continued to find what was wrong with this place. Once Catra realized Adora wasn't following her she turned around and went after her.
"Adora come on, let's just go," Catra said tugging on Adora's wrist.
"I can't. What don't you like about this place?"
"That doesn't matter! You said you don't like this place I'm helping you out." Catra said desperately trying to get Adora to leave. Being as stubborn as she is, she moved Catra's hand.
"I'm sorry but I want to find out," Adora said looking down the hallway.
"But, but but um the girls-"
"Catra-"
"They need help!"
"Catra-"
"You can still-"
"Catra! Enough!" Adora yelled turning around and glaring at her. Catra flinched and her shoulders tensed up. She hated being yelled at and it hurt more when it's from Adora.
"You're trying to make me leave I'm not stupid! But I want to know what's wrong with this place and you reminding me of my past mistakes is making this hard!" Adora explained as Catra stepped back. She stayed quiet before lifting her head.
"Fine. Don't get too unhappy with what you find." Catra said coldly. She turned around and left leaving Adora alone. Adora was confused by her response but that didn't stop her from looking around.
Catra left the nightmare of a hallway and ran into her father.
"Where are you going?"
"Bedroom, Adora won't listen to me."
"About what?" Anderson asked with a victorious grin on his face. Catra stopped herself and remembered that her father could be behind all of this.
"That you were behind this. I tried convincing her but she didn't believe me." Catra lied looking as defeated as possible. Anderson smiled and patted Catra's shoulder.
"She'll never understand you. She never did. She was only using you for your benefits and wealth. You deserve much better." Anderson said walking off. Catra's heart stung from that comment but she continued going upstairs. Suddenly her phone went off. A text from her mother and Adora. Mother first. Catra thought nervously.
Mother:
Police are on their way. Thank you Catra, I'm going to talk with your father.
Catra:
Thank you, mother. And this was Adora's idea, she saw him.
Mother:
She really is a smart girl. You got lucky Catra
Catra:
Thanks, mother
Catra then switched conversations and opened Adora's text.

Catra:

Adora:

Catra:
Adora hold on.
End of Tw
Catra quickly ran downstairs ignoring the rest of Adora's messages. She dashed through the hallways and entered the prison. She saw her father cornering Adora as she walked over.
"Father," He immediately stepped back and straightened his suit jacket.
"Catra," Adora slipped behind Catra causing her to get angry.
"What were you doing to her."
"Telling her everything the police will soon find out." He said tilting his head with a mischievous grin. Catra looked behind her before at her father.
"What do you mean?" Catra asked suspiciously. Anderson chuckled as he turned around.
"You'll see," He said walking out of the room. Once he left, Catra turned around and hugged Adora.
"Did he hurt you?"
"No. Thankfully not, and thankfully for my smartness!" Adora breathed out as Catra pulled away.
"What do you mean?" Catra asked before the two heard something loud. The two girls locked eyes before running out of the room and into the lobby. There were tons of police officers. Some were searching the house and others were talking with the residents of the mansion.
"Adora..." Catra whispered stepping back. The lights and the people had started to frighten her. Adora hugged Catra tightly and stroked the back of her head.
"Catra calm down, I'm still here, don't worry." She whispered before pulling away. Catra nodded and looked around. Everything seemed fine until Anderson pointed in her direction. Adora noticed and tensed up.
"Catra whatever happens this is not your fault. Everything will be ok, I promise," Adora said gripping Catra's shoulders.
"A-Adora? What do you-"
"Trust me, you'll be ok," Adora said as a cop approached the two.
"Catra Prime you are under arrest."
