Chapter 11

"No! Well yes, we met at the theme park. When you went to the bathroom. I'll be back!" Catra panicked running towards her. Sam nodded and placed the bear inside the car.

"What is wrong with you?!" Catra snapped as she got closer to Adora.

"What do you mean?" Adora asked nervously. Catra growled and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Nobody at my house knows about you or me sneaking out! Why in the world would you call for me!?" Catra yelled in a hushed tone. Adora realized her mistake and frowned before remembering why she called out for her.

"It was because you blocked me!" She responded and Catra's eyes widened. She had forgotten about that.

"Look, I know you're hurt but did you really have to block me to?" Adora asked as her shoulders dropped. Catra looked down and tapped her foot against the ground quietly.

"Yes," Catra mumbled crossing her arms. Adora sighed but she didn't give up.

"I care about you... ok? I didn't mean for all of that to happen-"

"Well, it did! There's nothing you can do about it!" Catra snapped turning around with a huff. Adora's brows furrowed as she crossed her arms.

"Why won't you let me help you!?" She asked. Catra turned back around and glared.

"I don't need your help, Adora!" She said before feeling a hand on her shoulder.

"It's getting late, who is this person?" Sam asked motioning to Adora.

"Nobody, come on." She growled taking Sam's hand and dragging them away. Sam glanced back at the person before nodding and opening the car door. Catra took one last glance at Adora before turning around.

Adora's heart was shattered. All she wanted was to be with Catra again. She should've known better than to call for Catra in public but she had no choice. She sighed and unlocked her car door. With tears in her eyes, she drove home in silence.

Catra only started to feel regret when she got home. Sam handed her the bear and she went inside. She showered and placed the bear on the bed with her before taking her phone out. She saw Adora's contact. I messed that up. But why does it matter? We aren't even friends. At least not me I guess.

"I need to fix this," Catra muttered slowly unlocking her phone and unblocking Adora. Would she respond? I'm willing to take that chance. She had her phone open for about five minutes before she just sent a quick hi.

Catra:
Hi

Adora:
Hey

Catra:
How are you?

Adora:
I'm fine

Catra:
I'm sorry for yelling at you back there. I was nervous about Sam finding out since he's very loyal to my parents.

Adora:
I forgive you! I didn't cry too much

Catra:
YOU CRIED FOR ME!?

Catra:
Adora no please I'm sorry don't cry for me I'm not worth it.

Adora:
Say something like that to yourself again and I will break into your house and make you change your mind

Catra:
Haha, I'd like to see you try.

Adora:
You know what bet!

Catra:
NO!! Don't you dare, you'll get caught!

Adora:
Ok...

Adora:
Can you come over tonight?

Catra froze. The two had just started talking again, wouldn't that be too soon. She laid down flat on her back and didn't answer. I don't want to see her friends. Just her and no one else. So that's what she decided on.

Catra:
ONLY you. Nobody else

Adora:
Deal! Thank you so much, I'll see you later 😘

Adora:
WRONG EMOJI!! I meant 🤩

Catra:
It's ok when I come over can you teach me more?

Adora:
Oooooo I have a great topic in mind

Catra smiled. She missed this.

Catra:
Perfect. Bye Adora

Adora:
Bye, Catra!

Catra turned her phone off and rolled around in her bed excitedly. She looked up at the teddy bear and smiled.

"We're friends again." She whispered giving the bear a tight squeeze. She laid down and stretched her legs out before falling asleep. She ended up skipping dinner and by the time she woke up everyone was asleep. She stretched and stood up before crouching to her knees and grabbing the rope from under her bed.

She snuck out again and walked through the woods. She was nervous to do this again especially since she hoped Adora kept her word this time. She felt stupid for trusting people so quickly, but she didn't know any better. She approached the door to Adora's house and knocked.

"Catra?" Adora asked opening the door. Catra looked up, smiled, and waved to her. Adora pulled her into a hug and Catra hugged her back.

"It's so good to see you again!" Adora said letting go and going inside. Catra nodded and closed the door before sitting next to her. Adora wrapped her arm around Catra and pulled her closer. Catra rested her head on Adora's shoulder and sighed.

"I'm sorry," Catra said breaking the silence. Adora looked down and smiled.

"Hey, it's ok. You already apologized." She said but Catra shook her head.

"I know but Frosta said-"

"No no no, we're not doing this. What Frosta and the others said was wrong." Adora said looking down at Catra with a warm smile. Catra glanced up at her and nodded.

"Thanks, I mean it. What's the topic you had in mind?" Catra asked causing Adora's eyes to light up. She moved her arm and ran up the stairs leaving a confused Catra on the couch. She waited a few minutes before Adora came downstairs, a large box in hand.

"What's that?" Catra asked as Adora set the box down. Adora opened the box and Catra peeked inside.

"Flags?"
