"Our birds been hijacked, take it down," Amanda commanded the person through the walkie talkie.
My face paled, and I turned away from the others, trying to hold back the tears which began to sting my eyes.
Deadshot came up beside me, "You alright?" He asked, bumping my shoulder and concern in his eyes.
I put a small smile on your face and nudged him back, "Yeah, I guess."
"You can't expect much from Harley; she's had her heart set on The Joker for a very long time."
"I know, but he had treated her so back, I thought she would've wanted to get out of a relationship."
"Just because she wanted to doesn't mean she could have. Love can make you do things you never thought you would do." Deadshot pat my shoulder for reassurance.
"Little birdy told me you two shared a little kiss earlier." Captain Boomerang snickered.
I glared at Deadshot, but he put his hands up in surrender. "I didn't say anything."
"It was you fire boy, wasn't it?" I narrowed my eyes at El Diablo as he made no effort to deny it, "Oh, you better believe I'm about to beat yo-"
"The Joker and Harley Quinn are no more." Amanda turned to us, speaking in a monotone.
My lip started to quiver and all the fight I had seeped out on me in a matter of seconds as I processed what she said. Deadshot was about to say something when they quickly ushered Amanda into another helicopter.
We all sat in silence as we waited for the chopper Amanda promised to bring us. No one spoke as the weight of Harley's death felt heavy in our hearts.
"Missions not over." Rick marched over to Deadshot.
"Ah, but it is for me." Deadshot fired back. "We had a deal."
"Without Waller you have nothing." Rick walked past us and proceeded to walk down the stairs back down to the ground floor.
I took one more look at the roof; bullet holes littered the walls, and their casings were scattered all over the ground. I looked over at the platform where Harley jumped onto The Jokers helicopter; I noticed something I hadn't seen before. I walked over to the edge of the building and saw the top of a baseball bat peeking out from the corner of the platform.
I picked it up and saw the familiar words of 'good night' that marked the bat. I frowned as I remembered that it was in Harley's possession this whole mission. I walked back towards the stairs, thebat still in my hand.

I pushed open the glass door and walked out into the street. The heavy rain greeted me with a cold bite. My stomach dropped as I saw Harley sitting soaking wet on a car in the middle of the street. She still hadn't noticed us yet and let her guard was down. She looked mentally wounded, she took off her thick choker and fiddled with it. She looked at it longingly before tossing it away onto the street.
"Harley?" I murmured.
Her head snapped in my direction, she quickly flicked her hair out of her face and attempted to act like her usual bubbly self. She raised her arm up and waved at us, "Hey guys I'm back!" She looked at us all "I missed you all," She looked me dead in the eyes "so much."
"We're glad you could make it," Deadshot said to Harley and helped her off from the car.
I walked up to Harley; she looked at me with a small smile, "Here." I handed her back her bat. She took it obligingly and quickly wrapped me into a tight hug. I leaned my head down on her shoulder; she smelt like smoke and a hint of bubblegum. She released me from the hug after she noticed everyone started walking in the opposite direction.
We caught up with them as they neared what looked to be a fallen aircraft. Rick opened the door and searched the insides as we waited patiently. From the corner of my eye, I saw bright colour illuminating the right side of the sky. I turned my head and saw an illuminated purple circle hovering in the sky; the purple ring had broken pieces of building and cars floating around the ring. A white light shone through the center of the hovering ring like a beacon.
"So let me guess, We're going towards the swirling ring of trash in the sky?" Deadshot raised his eyebrow towards Rick.
"Yeah, cause why wouldn't we?" Rick sassed back.
"When does this end flag?"
"Load up, we're in for a fight." Rick snarled.
I followed Rick down the street when Deadshot jogged passed us towards the front of the group. He threw a white folder into the car next to Rick; his head snapped towards Deadshot with a frown etched on his face.
"Tell everybody, everything," Deadshot ordered Rick. "Or you and me are gonna go right now."
Rick sighed in defeat and glanced at all of us, "3 days ago, a nonhuman entity appeared in the subway station. So waller sent me and a woman with incredible abilities. She was a witch. See nobody could get near this thing, but the witch could. Needless to say, the whole thing was a bad idea. So now you know."
"You can just kill me right now but I'm going to have a drink." Deadshot said and began to walk away.
Deadshot, I need your help."
"No sir, you need a miracle." Deadshot opened the doors to a bar.and walked through them.
"Metahumans sure, but magic hell no." I told Rick and walked in deadshot's direction.
