Time Of Healing
*Jason's POV*
I didn't sleep. I watched her as she slumbered. She looked so beautiful and I wanted to stay in this moment with her forever. She looked peaceful instead of pained like she did when she was awake.
She must have been having a bad dream because she furrowed her brow and I saw a small tear escape the corner of her eye. I wiped it away lightly and smiled at her beauty. She awoke at the touch of my fingertips to her skin. She opened her eyes and looked at me with sorrow in her eyes.
"What's wrong my beautiful angel?"
"I was having a bad dream."
"Do you want to talk about it beautiful?"
"If you would like to hear it."
"I would love to hear it."
"Well I had a dream that my mom was here, and instead of it being you that walked in yesterday, it was her. It scared me because it felt so real."
"Well love, I am here for you whenever you need me no matter what the situation is."
I kissed her face softly while another small tear escaped from her beautiful gemstone eyes. God. She was gorgeous. But it was making me feel uneasy that she was in so much pain. I then remembered her arms.
"How do your arms feel today my love?"
"Now that you mention it, they hurt really bad. They're burning and they itch."
"Well we are gonna take care of that right now. Lemme set up the stuff I need to clean and redress them and I will fix them and make them not hurt anymore."
"Ok. Thank you sweetie."
I got up and covered her back up. My body was cold because she wasn't laying on me anymore and the air in the house was quite chilly.
I got the things that I needed to clean her arms and redress them. I went back into the bedroom and uncovered her, bringing her into the bathroom and set her down onto the counter. I peeled the bandages off and looked at her arms.
There was dried blood on the inside of the bandages and her arms were really red and I could tell that her arms were burning and that she was in pain. I put her arms over the sink and poured peroxide over the cuts and watched as the fluid turned pink and the cuts bubbled. I looked up to see her wince in pain.
It hurt me more than anything to see her in pain. I hated it. I just wanted to see her happy.
I wiped the fluid that was done bubbling and redressed the cuts. I cleaned up and then looked at her sad eyes.
"Would you like to go somewhere for breakfast angel?"
"Um... Sure why not?"
"Ok. Do you need help in picking out your clothes?"
"No I can do it but thank you."
I kissed her on the cheek and then walked down the hallways into the living room. I got my clothes and got dressed. I then waited for her to come down the hallway.
She walked down the hallway and she looked gorgeous. She was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and her converse, paired with a flowy blue long sleeve shirt that covered the bandages. She looked heavenly and I wish that I could stare at her forever but I didn't want to seem like a creep.
I stood up and opened the front door for her. I closed it behind me and then I locked it. I walked with her to the car and opened her door. When she was in the car, I closed the door and got in the car and started it.
I looked at her and I realized how right I had been the whole time that I wanted to help her. She was struggling more than anyone knew and she didn't want people to know because she didn't want help.
I love her.....
