*Casper's POV*

I was awake but hadn't yet opened my eyes. I could feel a hand in mine and a heavy head on my chest. The first thing that popped into my mind, was Jason. The second was searing pain in all of my organs and everywhere in my body.

I finally decided to try and open my eyes, and when I did, I was faced with bright lights. I moved my other hand slowly, to Jason's head and ran my fingers through his long black hair. 

He lifted his head up and looked into my eyes. His eyes contained tears of joy. 

"Baby. Oh my god I missed you so much. I was so worried you would never wake up. How do you feel?"

I answered in a raspy voice and it wasn't easy to say because I couldn't breathe easily.

"Pain."

With that singe word, he walked out of the room after kissing my forehead and came back in a few moments later with a doctor.

"Hello Casper. It's good to finally see you awake. How're you feeling."

"Pain."

I answered again. 

"Well we're going to give you some pain medication to try and make the pain subside. But we also need to ask you a few questions about why you're here."

I nodded my head in response. 

"Casper, you drank a massive amount of bleach and you have cuts on every surface of your body. We need to know why that is."

I pointed to Jason and he knew exactly what I meant when I did that.

"She wants me to explain. So her mom died about a week or so ago and she's been having a hard time dealing with it. I have stayed with her everynight. I was gone for 2 days because we had gotten into an argument, and I came back and she had cuts everywhere. We will wake up and find new ones sometimes. And then 3 days ago, we had just gotten back from the funeral and I needed to go get more clothes and I told her I would be right back, and when I came back I discovered her attempting to kill herself."

"I see... Who are you in relation to her?"

"I am her boyfriend."

"Ok. Well it's good that you've stayed with her. But we think that she may need more help. We feel as if it would be best for her to be put into a facility for about a month and we need your consent to put her there. You will be able to visit her anytime that you wanted to."

Jason looked over at me and I nodded. 

"Ok. Where are the papers I need to sign for consent?"
