Val's pov

"I-um- yeah," Ozzie said as he ran a hand over his face tiredly. I felt bad that he had slept outside of the door. "I was standing guard for Val until you returned, but I guess I had fallen asleep."

I was so used to him calling me by my name, but obviously it didn't sit right with Sebastian as he let out a low growl and brought his arm back to push me farther behind him. "Val?" His voice was deep with anger, not liking the nickname that Ozzie had given me- honestly, the name that I preferred.

I saw Ozzie grimace, his mind probably thinking about the multiple things he could say to neutralize the situation.

I placed my hand on Sebastian's back and he tensed, turning his head to settle his glare on me. "Don't act like that, he is your Head Delta and I think he deserves at least a little of your respect." That earned another grumble from him. "Ozzie and I have spent the last week working together at my pack. I consider him a good friend." I didn't like calling Ozzie just my friend, but knew that might be the only thing that would calm Seb down. "I mean, wouldn't you rather me get along with you pack members?"

Sebastian turned to look away from me and stared at Ozzie for a moment before he turned and began to walk down the hall. "You will need to address her as Luna in public settings." He said simply as he walked off.

Although he didn't tell me to, I'm sure he expected me to follow him. I pushed down the irritation that was welling in me at the way he was acting, and instead turned to look at Ozzie. He was already looking at me like a lost puppy, wanting to look up in his eyes. I gave him a soft look before I turned and started to follow after Sebastian.

"Where are we going?" I asked Sebastian as we walked and could hear and sense Ozzie following behind us. My body and wolf were buzzing, wanting to be in either of their grips, but I pushed it down. That was definitely not going to happen, and I hate how much the mate bond was affecting me.

As I thought about the mate bond, I thought to my powers that had made the grand appearance last night. I didn't know what I did to cause it, it kind of felt like I was just boiling over and just couldn't hold it back. My anger had consumed the room and everyone within it. I couldn't imagine what would happen if I didn't stop myself.

"You are going to meet with my higher ranking pack members." Sebastian said in a gruff voice as we continued walking through his enormous pack house.

I mean, I've already met his Beta and Delta, so it should just be his Gamma that I had to meet. I wondered what he would be like, because Ozzie and Kai seemed so different from each other and I didn't know what to expect.

Finally, we came to two large doors that were on the first floor, the east side. Two pack members were standing outside of the doors, wearing what looked to be protective suits. Sebastian slowed his pace until I came to his side and he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me to his side. I let out a grumble, not liking to sudden connection; although my wolf was loving it and trying to reach out to his.

Sebastian ignored me and as we came closer to te door, the two guards - I'm assuming were delta's- bowed towards us before opening the door. Inside it looked like an office, with a large desk in the farth corner and two couches and a table closer to the door.

As we walked in, my eyes landed on the only two other people in the room; Kai and a silver haired girl that was clung to his side. Unlike his dark aura, she had a light feeling to her with a bright smile on her face as she looked up towards him. Her eyes were the most defining feature, the the deepest grey I've ever seen and they almost seemed... fogged over?

Her head flicked to our direciton and it looked like she was almost looking into the distance, not directly at anyone of us. "Ooh she's here! Take me over to her!" She let out in a happy tone and reached out for Kai and he grabbed her hand before guiding her over to us.

"Hey, Kendi, it's good to see you!" Ozzie spoke up enthusiastically as he walked forward to greet both of them.

"I'd say the same, but well, you know," she blinked in his direciton and smiled before turning towards Sebastian and I. "Sebastian, stop crowding over her and let me give her a hug." She let go of Kai's arm and opened her arms wide, as if expecting a hug.

Surprisingly, Sebastian let go of my waist and stepped to the side. I gave him a look, not really liking touching people that I didn't know, but all of a sudden the girl- Kendi had thrown herself into my arms. I almost tumbled over, but caught myself and her.

"Oh you..." she mumbled under her breath and pulled away from me before I even had the chance to give her a real hug back. She was blinkig and looking towards me with astonishment. "You are... you..."

"Um," I didn't know if it was because I just woke up not too long ago, but she wasn't making any sense to me. "Nice to meet you? I'm Val. You must be Kai's mate-"

"What did you see Kendi?" Sebastian suddenly demanded and I was taken aback at his rudeness. It was pretty obvious that she was blind. "Does she get hurt? What is it?"

"Oh, Sebbie, not everything is bad when I see stuff," she finally says, giving him a small wave as she still looks in my direction. Now, she had a huge smile on her face. "You and I have so much stuff to talk about! I hate always being stuck with the guys, sometimes I just need girl time."

"Hey, I don't think I'm that bad," Ozzie scoffed and I looked over to see he had a frown on his face.

"Well, obviously I'm not talking about you, but I don't want Kai and Seb to feel bad," Kendi said with a nod, which earned a growl from Kai. "Val get's what I mean, someimtes girls need time for themselves."

I didn't get what she meant, not even a little bit. I didn't want to break it to her, but I was not this 'girly-girl' that she was hoping for. "Wait, I'm confused. How can you... see?" I said slowly, not wanting to come off as rude, but I also wanted to understand.

"Oh," Kendi said and started waving a hand around as she spoke, "well these are my powers that came with the mate bond. Kai and I met when we were little, so I've defintely had a lot of time to master them. I get visions of people when I see them, their past, present, and future. A lot of the time it's just glimpses."

Oh, this was definitely intereting. "What did you see with me?"

"I'll tell you later during girl time," she said to me with a nod.

I wanted her to tell me now, but knew with both Ozzie and Sebastian here I woudn't want them to know what she said. "Okay." I reluctantly agree, not really exctied for 'girl time', but I still wanted to know what she saw.

I looked around the room and noticed that no one else was in here and wondered about the Gamma. "Will I get to meet te Gamma today as well?"

The room was quiet for a moment and they looked at me curiously then at one another before suddenly Ozzie and Kendi had bursted out laughing. I narrowed my eyes a bit, not wanting to admit that I didn't like how close these two seemed to be.

After a moment, Kendi finally spoke up through her laughter. "I thought it was obvious, I'm the Gamma."
