Blueberry's POV

Dust rested his head on my lap and pinched his nose bridge. He seemed irritated about something which only increased my curiosity. Poking his forehead, I made him look at me.

Me: What's wrong?

Dust: I have the worst hangover right now.

Me: Why would you drink on a school night?

Dust: Because I'm an adult and I want to.

Me: Fair enough.

I leaned back to think for a second. I could suggest something to him to help his pain. He always liked hiking for the fresh air of the mountains.

Me: How about we go for a walk in the forest?

Dust: It wouldn't hurt to get a breath.

(Time Skip)

I jumped over rocks with Dust trailing after me. There was certain rush of adventure that I felt when was I high in the mountains. It never seemed to get old. The thin air, tall trees, and the majesty of seeing everything in the horizon.

Sitting on the edge, I stared at the small people. Dust sat next to me and leaned against me. He was deeply thinking about something. That's when he looked at me, with a hopeful but worried expression.

Dust: The guys, along with me, have been talking to each other about this. We agreed that we would ask the big question. Do you want to get married?

I stared at him with complete silence.

Me: Sure.

He smiled before hugging me. The silence up here was comforting. If you listened carefully, you could hear the communication of the monsters that lived below.

It was becoming summer, which everyone was out and enjoying the warmth of the sun. Toriel's flower shop was doing extremely well because of the people buying them for their special events.

'I guess Dust and I are now engaged.'

We stood up and continued our hike on the rocky side. I thought along the way. It was actually quite shocking, Dust asking me to marry him. I wasn't expecting it but I didn't reject it. Taking his hand in mine, I dragged him along with me. We smiled as we traveled between the trees.

(Time Skip)

I skipped into the house with Dust trailing behind. Turning around, I looked at him.

Me: So, did that help?

Dust: It did.

Suddenly, our boss walked into the living room while looking at his phone. He handed a card to us before leaving into the kitchen. I peeked over his shoulder to see what the golden card said. It was a female who lived in the capital. Both of us cringed since there was some monster racism happening there. Dust sighed as he stuffed the card into his pocket.

Dust: Let's take a vacation in Hawaii after we get this mission done.

Me: Agreed. Wait, what about college?

Dust: It's called teleporting.

He said sarcastically.

(Time Skip)

Setting our luggages down on the bed. Dust flopped onto it and covered his eyes with his arm. The ceiling fan spun slowly and the walls were open, letting the tropical air in. The sound of the ocean waves could be heard from the beach. Walking out onto the porch, I stared at the laughing people running on the hot yellow sand.

It was relaxing, to get a break from work. I contently sighed without even thinking about it. The fact that there was a whole world to explore was mind blowing to me. So many things to discover with the feeling of freedom behind your back.

Walking over to Dust, I laid down next to him. There was a silence between us but it wasn't bad. His hand moved to hold mine. There was no need to converse with one another...

Only silence was needed

A Quick Discussion

Giving a heads up, the next few chapters will be short. I have a bitch excuse for this. School just started again but I want to get something out for you guys.
