Chapter 60 - Vita Mia - (Short Chapter)
Reaper's POV
I carried boxes full of stuff from Geno's attic. When I walked into the living room, I saw my wife sitting on the couch.
Me: Vita Mia.
Geno: Yes, Reaper?
Me: I have holiday decor.
Geno: Why?
Me: Because it's getting close to the holidays.
He went silent for a few minutes. Then he spoke again.
Geno: Fresh and I don't exactly celebrate Christmas or decorate our house.
Me: What?! You're kidding me.
Geno: I'm not.
I almost dropped the boxes from shock. Setting them on the floor, I kneeled in front of Geno.
Me: The holidays are a time to spend with your family. To gather together and cherish them. This is one of the most celebrated events of the entire year.
He looked down with a sad expression.
Geno: We don't have any family members left to enjoy it with. The holiday reminds of me painful memories anyway.
A tear rolled down his cheek. I rubbed it away with my thumb.
Me: The past can't hurt you. This is always an opportunity to make better memories. With the family you have now. Even if it is a small one, you cherish them.
Geno: I don't have any living relatives.
Me: You have Fresh and now, you have me, your husband. That is all you need for a family. Also, we have the little one.
I said as I pointed to Geno's abdomen.
Geno: ... I'll celebrate the holidays but still no decor.
Me: Please, can I put decoration up?
Geno: No.
I sat on the couch next to him. I clung to his arm and gave him puppy eyes.
Geno: Don't use that trick on me, Reaper.
Me: Is it working?
Geno: Yes.
He growled through his teeth. I continued my adorable act. He finally broke.
Geno: Fine, decoration.
I kissed him and he returned it.
Me: I love you, Geno.
Geno: I love you too, Reaper.
I wrapped my cloak around him and went back to the boxes.
Tis the season to be jolly
A Quick Discussion
It's 01:21. Should I sleep? Probably not. I'm bored as hell.
I don't have anything on my mind so I'm going to just say love you and...
Bye
