Chapter 47 - A Shiny Wake Up Call - (Short Chapter)
Fell's POV
The familiar trumpet sang the morning tune. Groaning, I lifted myself off from my flat cot. Looking to my left, I realized that Classic wasn't there.
'Must've woken up early.'
Standing up, I straighten my uniform and walked out of the tent. The last leaves were falling off the branches of the trees. The breeze kicked up dirt from the trails. A few meters away, was the General standing in front of the main building, talking with other higher ups. He noticed me.
General: Hey Fell! Have you seen Classic?
Me: No sir. I'm sure he'll appear in maybe an hour.
He nodded and went back to taking with the others.
(Time Skip)
It's noon and Classic still hasn't come up. I was starting to become worried. From when the sun was saying hello to the sun being in the middle of the sky, he still hasn't appeared.
I was walking to the mess hall when a flash of light blinded me. I closed my eyes and waited for a few seconds. When I opened them again, that flash was still there. It was coming from a spot in the distance. Following the light, it got increasingly smaller the closer I got.
I finally made it after a minute. Sitting in the dirt, was a singular dog tag. Kneeling down, I picked it up with upmost curiosity. Using my thumb to dust off the dirt, I read the printing.
'It's Classic's!'
Me: He doesn't go anywhere without this.
I held the silver chain close to my chest. Nearby, there were footprints and skid marks.
Me: Classic should have been here however these prints, don't match up with the soles of his boots.
The patterns of the prints were easy to notice. Everyone in the camp was given identical boots so these patterns were out of the ordinary. Worn out boots were replaced by new ones because of the soles.
Me: The skids aren't explained either. Wait, if I look closer I can see... signs of struggle! Classic was... n-no he can't be.
The truth was in front of me but I failed to see it. Tears started to bloom. I held the chain tighter against my chest.
Me: Princess.
I whispered depressingly to myself. It took a few minutes but my mind finally accepted it. My feet operated at their own free will. They leaded me back to the camp. It felt like an eternity but I arrived in only three minutes. The once bright blue sky was one thousand shades duller. The grass looked like it had been dead for years.
I found myself at the entrance of the General's tent. Pulling back the flap, I found him sitting behind the sandbox-like table.
General: Ah, Fell, anything to report?
Me: Affirmative sir.
General: Well out with it.
Me: Classic was... he was...
'Speak dammit!'
Me: Classic was...
Kidnapped
