Chapter 23 - Shopping - (Short Chapter)
Sorry I'm not as fast. I've been a bit busy with schoolwork as well as making blue prints for this stories HQ. Please forgive me.
Nightmare's POV
I was sitting in my office reading a book when Horror came in.
Horror: Uh boss. We have a problem.
Me: What is it?
Horror: We have to go to the store for grocery shopping.
Me: Oh okay. Who is all going?
He started using his fingers to count.
Horror: Me, Dust, Dream, Blue, and Cross. Wanna come?
Me: .... sure why not.
I stood up and followed. Everyone was sitting in the living room waiting for Horror and I. They noticed us.
Dust: Ready to leave?
Horror: Yeah.
(Time Skip)
We decided that we preferred to walk instead of teleporting. It's good to get fresh air every once in a while. We walked past a coffee shop. I looked through the window and saw Error and Ink drinking and having a good time together. They didn't seem to notice us. I didn't bother doing anything because I didn't want to ruin their relaxation. My men rarely get vacation because of the constant demand for murder.
We arrived at a smaller sized grocery store. The car parking lot was empty which was normal in this area.

Horror, Dust, and I were walking to the produce aisle when Dust started running and jumped onto a stack of chairs.
Horror: The hell are you doing?
Dust: Do not question the evaluated one, peasant.
Horror: Are you fucking kidding me?
Dust: Nope.
Me: Get down Dust.
Dust: Alright.
He sighed. He slid off the chairs and trailed alongside us.
(Time Skip)
We all teleported back home so we didn't have to worry about the weight of the bags. The house was empty, except for Killer upstairs. Looks like Error and Ink were still out together.
I dropped my bags onto the counter. I headed up the stars towards Killer's room to check on him. Lightly knocking on the door, I waited for him to give me permission to enter.
Cross: Is he okay?
Me: Jesus fuck! You scared the hell out of me.
He apologized and opened the door for me. Killer was asleep. I looked at his arm. It was still broken however, it was healing better than expected which was great. The leg, was still in a pretty bad condition.
I sighed. He'll be out of commission for a few days. Someone else is going to have to do his work. My prayers were answered.
Cross: I'll take his workload while he's healing.
Me: You will? That's fantastic. I'm going to join you. I need to dust off some of my techniques.
There was another reason but I didn't want to tell him. It felt like I needed to protect Cross. As much as I would protect Ink. Something about him pulled me towards him. Fascinating me. Like it was destiny for us to meet. I had the same feeling when Horror tried to attack him. Something snapped inside of me that caused me to block the axe.
I stared into his eyes....
Let's hunt together
