Later, in Sophie's bedroom...

"How in the world am I going make-up with them? THEY'RE SO AWKWARD!"

"So are you," Biana pointed out. Sophie glared at her and flopped backwards.

"You know? I just realized: the problem isn't Fitz, Keefe, and I." Sophie sat back up, narrowing her eyes. "It's you guys!"

"What?" Dex asked.

"You guys are always glaring and whining. You act like I need to be guarded from them."

"Well..." Dex and Biana mumbled. Sophie shoved them.

"Seriously, guys! Plan ending the awkward starts with my best friends."

"And your parents?" Biana asked skeptically.

"...We'll get to that. That's, like, step three."

"You're stalling that," Dex pointed out.

"I realize," Sophie replied with annoyance, reaching for her imparter. "I'm inviting the others."

"Including Fitz and Keefe?" Biana asked.

Sophie scoffed with a laugh. "No."

Sophie, Dex, and Biana met Tam and Linh in Sophie's living room.

"Okay, we're here to discuss Keefe and Fitz." Tam's eyes widened and he jumped up.

"NOT AGAIN! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE!" He tugged frantically at his silver-tipped bangs.

Sophie sighed as the others laughed. "This is what I mean! You guys are the reason it is so awkward!"

"That and they both have a major crush on you," Linh mumbled. Dex laughed and high-fived her.

Sophie groaned and rolled her eyes. "Please, guys. I need you to try to be nice. I'm going to invite them over, and we are going to play a NICE, FRIENDLY game of Basequest, okay?"

Dex frowned. "The last time we played that, I was nearly kidnapped. Again."

Linh replied, "That won't happen again. We'll hide in partners."

"I'M CALLING KEEFE!" Sophie shouted, bringing everyone to silence at the same time sge brought the imparter to her lips. "Keefe Sencen."

Keefe and Fitz appeared outside and Sophie, Tam, Biana, Dex, and Linh were already out there.

"Teams! Girls against boys with a boy referee," Sophie said.

"Hello to you, too," Keefe mumbled. Fitz elbowed him.

Fitz clapped his hands together and smiled. "Let's do this!"
