*A Month Later*

After being attacked by Jeffrey Nothing from Mushroomhead, Cody had a court date set to go to trial against him and felt confident in winning the court case. Cody currently found himself waking up with Taylor on his chest until she lightly kissed his chest after she woke up.

Taylor: I just wanna lay here with you.

Cody: Me too.

Taylor then lifted her head up and placed the palm of her hand under her chin and looked into Cody's eyes.

Taylor: We have such a busy day ahead of us.... our girl is a year old today.

Cody: Yep.... Do we have everything prepared for today?

Taylor: Yeah. We just need to make some final preparations ready for the party..... gotta pick up the cake.... and.... I think that's about it other than having all the guests arrive.

Cody nodded until Taylor layed her head back onto Cody's chest as the two layed in bed for a little bit longer until Taylor got a naughty idea.

Taylor: Let's have a little fun before our girl wakes up.

Cody nodded until Taylor pulled down his boxers and went down to Cody's crotch before she began to suck him off as Cody just layed back and relaxed as Taylor slowly bobbed her head up and down.

*An Hour Later*

Cody had started getting preparations for Lili's party ready to go until Taylor came into the room with Lili in her arms until she smiled to see Cody.

Lili: Dada!

Cody: Morning sweetie. Happy Birthday!

Lili widely smiled as Cody held her as Taylor began making Lili's breakfast while Cody played with her and Moose when he wagged his tail to see them. Cody then got on the floor with Lili so she could pet Moose as he gladly let Lili pet his head and back until Taylor finished making breakfast.

Taylor: Ok you two. Come and get it.

Cody then stood up with Lili in his arms before he walked over to the table and Cody set Lili down in a chair before Cody and Taylor sat as the family enjoyed breakfast together. Once they finished, Cody and Taylor got started getting the house ready for the guests.

Lili: Party!

Cody: That's right honey. We're having a birthday party for you.

Lili smiled as Cody and Taylor started inflating balloons and got them ready as Lili kept herself occupied and started playing with the balloons that were scattered around the living room floor.

Taylor: You're just having a ball aren't you?

Lili: Ya!

Taylor smiled as her and Cody soon finished getting all the balloons inflated and started setting up for the party while getting the house ready for all the guests.

*Later*

Cody came back to the house with the cake ready for Lili's party when he went inside the house to find Alicia, Corey, and Griffin who already arrived while Cody gently set the cake down on the table and he greeted and hugged them all.

Cody: That was fast for all three of you to get here.

Alicia: Taylor let us in. She's just getting Lili ready for today.

Cody nodded until Taylor brought Lili out with her.

Taylor: Is everyone else on their way?

Cody: All the aunts said they're on their way, but aunt Connie hasn't texted me.back yet.

Alicia: I wonder what's taking her so long?

Griffin: I'm sure she's busy teaching her classes right now.

Cody: Probably. The weird thing is that she hasn't responded in a week. She probably got super busy with teaching those classes.

Cody decided not to worry too much about it when everyone started to set everything up for the party when some more guests arrived, it was Josette and Latisha along with their husbands when Cody hugged them and invited them in.

*45 minutes later*

Lili was running around the backyard, enjoying herself with her other friends that came as everyone talked amongst each other, but Cody was starting to worry about Connie as she still hasn't shown up yet. Taylor noticed this until she went up to him.

Taylor: Anything from Connie yet?

Cody: No. I tried calling her, I tried texting her, I'm worried about her.

Suddenly, Cody's phone rang..... it was an emergency number as Cody answered it.

Cody: Hello?

Operator: Is this Cody Harris-Taylor?

Cody: This is he.

Operator: And are you related to Constance Palmer?

Cody: Yes ma'am. She's my adoptive aunt.

Operator: Constance was in a near fatal skydiving accident a couple of days ago that broke her back and legs. She's already had a surgery and is in the hospital at the moment and luckily she's stable, but she's in a coma at the moment.

Cody felt his whole world stop until he had to answer the operator..

Cody: Ok. I'll be right there! What's the address of the hospital she's in?

The Operator gave Cody the address to the hospital before he hung up the call and Taylor looked at him.

Taylor: Go to her Cody..... she needs you by her side.

Cody: Are you sure? What about Lili?

Taylor: She'll be fine. We'll FaceTime you whenever Connie wakes up.

Cody nodded and kissed Taylor before grabbing what he needed and soon drove to the hospital.

*Later*

Cody arrived to the hospital where Connie was being treated at when he was allowed to come back as he was led to a room and there layed Connie who was luckily our her coma, but she was taking a nap when she slightly opened her eyes to see Cody as he sat next to her bed.

Connie: Cody........

Cody: Hi aunt Connie.....

Cody then kissed Connie's forehead before he gently held her hand as the aunt and nephew had a moment together as they looked deep into each other's eyes.

Cody: What happened?

Connie: I just.... messed up. It's been sometime, but I don't remember how, but I know I fucked up my landing pattern when it happened. I'm so thankful I can still move my legs, but goddammit I don't know how long it'll be until I can do aerialism again.

Connie then began to lightly cry when Cody helped her wipe her tears with his thumb and he lightly hugged her.

Cody: It's gonna be alright aunt Connie.... accidents happen and this was one that none of us could stop. You tried your best to make the landing you needed and well........ shit hit the fan. It's not you're fault. I was just worried about you when you weren't texting me back or answering my calls. What really hurts though is that Lili really wanted to see you today.

Connie: My god..... you're right. It's her birthday today. I really wanted to be there today. Now I can't because I'm here because of that stupid accident and I don't know how long I'll be here in the hospital.

Cody: Like I said, it was nothing that you or me could stop from happening. At some point today, we'll FaceTime them before the guests sing to Lili when Taylor gets the cake ready.

Cody and Connie held hands as Connie lightly smiled as Cody lightly kissed her forehead as the aunt and nephew had a moment with each other.

*Later*

Cody had his phone on FaceTime with Alicia when she had her phone positioned for Connie to see everything going on until Taylor sat Lili down in her chair.

Taylor: Ok everyone! Time to sing Happy Birthday to Lili! Ready you guys?

Everyone there said they were ready as Cody and Connie were.

Taylor: Ok! 1, 2, 3!

Everyone: Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Lili! Happy birthday to you!

Lili smiled and blew out the candle on the cake as everyone cheered and applauded as did Cody and Connie until Taylor took the candle out of the cake and started cutting some slices for everyone as Cody and Connie watched from FaceTime until Alicia picked up her phone and talked with them a bit.

Alicia: How are you feeling?

Connie: Like hell, but I'll get back on my feet sooner than later hopefully.

Alicia: You really had us worried Connie, but don't worry we'll all come and visit you after Lili's party.

Connie: Yes please! I need to see her before the day is over!

Alicia: Ok. We'll text you when we're on our way.

Connie agreed with the plan until Alicia hung up the FaceTime as Cody and Connie had some more time to themselves.

Connie: What could we do until they get here?

They thought amongst themselves until Cody got an idea.

Cody: I thought I saw something we could do together downstairs. Give me a minute, I'll be right back.

Cody left the room as Connie waited until a few minutes later, Cody came back with some knitting needles and a couple balls of yarn.

Connie: Perfect! Cody you read my mind!

Cody: Especially when you made me that sweater for my birthday last year.

Connie: You still have that thing?

Cody: Why would I get rid of it? It's from one of the best seven aunts ever.

Connie smiled as Cody leaned down and kissed her cheek.

Connie: Thanks Codester. I have something in mind to make for Lili when they get here.

Cody: Me too. This'll take some time.

Cody and Connie then started knitting together all the while enjoying each other's company as they waited for everyone.

*90 Minutes Later*

Cody and Connie finished their knitting until a light knock was heard at the door when it was Taylor, Lili, Alicia, and the aunts when they all came in and they all lightly hugged Connie when Taylor lightly set Lili next to Connie when she snuggled up next to her.

Connie: Happy Birthday Lili. I really wish I was there in person, but I made you a little something something.

Connie then showed Lili a new wool hat she made which had Lili's name on the front of it and it said "Little Acrobat" on the back of it. Lili smiled widely when she immediately put it on and everyone loved it on her until Cody had something for her as well.

Cody: And here's a little something something from Daddy. These are for when it gets cold outside.

Cody then presented her a couple of mittens that said "Little Cherry Bomb" on them. Lili loved them when she smiled widely again at Cody as everyone awwed at her while she lightly hugged Connie and she slowly hugged Lili back as Cody kissed Lili's forehead.

*Later that night*

After visiting hours were finished and Connie had to get her rest, Cody had gone home with Lili and Taylor as did Alicia who wanted to stay a little longer with Cody and the others. Taylor just came into the room after putting Lili down for bed while Cody was cuddling up with Alicia until Taylor sat with them while Cody took in the sight of his beautiful adoptive mom.

Taylor: Evening cuddles with mom?

Alicia: We haven't done this in a while. We haven't done this since the last tour we did together.

Taylor: Understandable. Guess Mom and son do need to stick together sometimes.

Alicia nodded as she nuzzled into Cody's side when Cody wrapped a protective arm around her before Taylor sat down with them and Cody put his other arm around her.

Taylor: I have something to show the both of you.

Cody: What is it?

Taylor: Let me show you.

Taylor then pulled something out of her pocket when she handed it to Cody until him and Alicia were in shock.

Alicia: No fucking way.....

Cody: I don't believe it......

Taylor: I just took the test. Remember when I was sick the other day? Well..... that's why.

Cody then kissed Taylor with passion until Cody felt his phone buzz. It was someone trying to call him. Once Cody pulled away from Taylor, Cody answered his phone and put it on speaker.

Cody: Hello?

?: Hey. Is this Cody?

Cody: Yes. This is he.

Steve: It's Steve Felton. Ya know? Skinny?

Cody: What's up?

Steve: Thought I'd check in on you guys and see how you're all doing. Jackie and I were thinking about you.

Cody: Well...... We've been better after everything that's happened in the last month..... and Jeffrey....

Steve: *sighs* We know...... me and Jackie just wanted you to know that we don't have anything against you or any of your family members. In fact, I don't say much outside of Mushroomhead, but you guys were the real deal when you all stepped into rehearsals and egos just took over. We didn't mean to hurt any of you, but Jeffrey obviously did and I will say this and hope that you win your court case against him.

Cody looked at Alicia and Taylor before he replied.

Cody: Thanks Steve. Thanks for clearing all that up with me. Josh and I are still looking for new band members, but we don't know what's gonna happen with everything after last month. Hell, Isaiah, Collin, and Avery are forming a new group themselves and sure as hell, there will be tensions flaring between all of us.

Jackie: No need to worry about that Cody...... we got your back on that. Whenever you need us we'll help you in any way or form. Also, before you cut me off in the studio with what I was about to say.... I wanted to ask you if you wanted to have a part in our band for a bit while you and Josh figure out everything to reform your band.

Cody: A part in Unsaid Fate?

Taylor and Alicia were a little surprised themselves, but they gave Cody a small nod.

Cody: I'll have to take up that offer Jackie.

Jackie: Great! We'll see you in a couple of days for rehearsals! We can't wait to see you!

Steve: It's gonna be a hell of a time, trust me! Have a great night Cody! And we wish a very happy birthday to your daughter.

Cody: Thanks you guys. See you two soon. Catch ya later.

Steve/Jackie: Bye Cody!

The call then hung up as Cody and Taylor lightly kissed until Cody kissed Alicia's forehead before the two of them nuzzled up next to Cody.

Alicia: Well things are looking up.

Taylor: Hell of a day huh?

Cody: Definitely. I gotta practice ASAP.

Alicia: You'll do great. I have a high hopes you will.

Cody smiled until he picked up his guitar and lightly serenaded Taylor and Alicia before it got late and Alicia had to go home while Cody and Taylor went to bed.........
