CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS OF THE PREVIOUS CONTEST, AND TO ALL MY PARTICIPANTS. READING YOUR STORIES WAS REALLY FUN, AND I HOPE TO BE DOING SO AGAIN. The books for Third Place, Second Place and First Place will be up along with your stories as soon as I get a copy of it!

So, some of you guys are already bugging me for the next contest! [I'm seriously glad I have such great feedback; thank you all]

Here goes nothing.

You have to write a one shot based off any song. It can be a silly rap song which is made up of rhymed words that don't click with each other, or it can be a really slow song from 100 years ago, IT'S UP TO YOU.

BUT... it HAS to make sense!

Any genre is accepted. Some of you wanted fantasy, go ahead and make your story based of a song that gives off the fantasy vibe. Some of you want science fiction? Go ahead. Literally, I accept any genre. Even poems.

Also, I'd like you to include a single sentence/lyric from the song that inspired you to write about it. If you don't know what I mean, head on down to my other account transcendents to see how I wrote my one shot based off a song. The book is called "Octaves". I included a lyric as a prologue/epigraph, and I'd like you guys to do the same so I can understand the song and where you are coming from much better.

Comment if you don't understand, I know it sounds confusing.

IF ANYONE THINKS THIS CONTEST IS A BAD IDEA, PLEASE VOICE YOUR THOUGHTS. I GENUINELY WANT TO KNOW :))) then maybe I'll change it or something :)

Okay, so. Rehashing some rules here:
1) Expand your vocabulary! Throw in some God forsaken word that no one knows the meaning to. I'd be impressed.

2) Only one entry per person please (:

3) Any genre is accepted.

4) I actually hope you choose suitable and nice sounding titles!

5) WORD LIMIT. 1000-5000. Again, it does have to be one chapter long only. Basically, your story has to be a one shot! (I ACCEPT EPIGRAPHS AS A STAND ALONE CHAPTER BECAUSE IT'S PRETTIER THAT WAY) But if you never intended on including one, don't fret! It's not a must.

6) Paragraphing is important! Don't clump everything together, as readers would then only SKIM through your piece! (Even me, it's human nature)

Marks will NOW be diducted from those who fail to hand it in on time, so PLEASE submit before the deadline, UNLESS YOU HAVE AMAZING WRITING whereby the diduction of marks won't affect you :)

Like before, I NEED TO ASK. WHO IS INTERESTED, PLEASE SAY SO. IF I DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST TEN PEOPLE, THIS CONTEST WILL NOT GO ON. So do comment if you're interested so I can tag and keep track of you!
