Here are seven facts about Glitches and the Books of Lessaenes series in general that you don't know (unless you're stalking me). Some of them are funny, some of them aren't, but either way, here they are!

1. The name Airel came from me misspelling Ariel.

2. Glitches has come a long way. I mean, a really, really long way. When I first started writing it last June, there was only going to be one book, Amanda was going to be the villain (hence her evilness in the beginning), and it was going to end with the Glitches escaping the Program. And then I decided to extend it...like...a lot XD.

3. Okay, brace yourselves, because this is gonna be a long one! I created Queen Saralee because I hate evil queens. I think they take things way too seriously and just...aren't very cool people to be around.

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking "Well, Saralee, that doesn't make any sense. You made the villain of your story an evil queen...because you hate evil queens?"

Let me explain. I don't hate evil queens because they're smart and evil. Smart and evil is actually a really great combination! I hate them because they have no sense of humor. Someone says something funny in front of them and they incinerate/freeze/execute that person! Like, come on, you're not even going to let your supporters have fun?

I wanted an evil queen who has a very active sense of humor. An evil queen whose jokes everyone loves, but whose evilness everyone hates. I wanted to create an evil queen with completely opposing character traits. Cruel...and funny! So there, Queen Saralee of Lessaenes was born!

4. The White Hot Flame's name was inspired by a science lesson. Yep, you read that right! I got the name of the rebellion in the Books of Lessaenes from a science lesson. How, you ask? Well, one day in science, we were learning about flames.

When asked what the color of the hottest flame is, most people said red. But the correct answer is white. White flames are the hottest. White Hot Flame.

5. The WGO divisions were going to be a much bigger deal. In my original plan, there was going to be so much more drama between the Divisions including power struggles between Amanda, Megan and Eva and even blackmail. However, I realized that it was turning into just another typical high school story, with the "popular kids" and the "not so popular kids." The only thing that was different was the setting and the fact that they had powers. So, I decided to cut all of that out and add aliens!

6. Claire was going to have a twin sister named Clara, who's also a Glitch, instead of Megan. Jealous of her sister's abilities, Clara would've joined the Icehearts. Why did I remove her?

The Icehearts don't need help.

7. Queen Saralee's twisted but awesome sense of humor is inspired by an amazing person named TheWatermelonTroll .

No, she's not evil (or at least...I don't think she is) but her humor is so Saralee-like it's PERFECT.
