Third person P.O.V

"You're sleeping in my room."

Jungkook was totally shocked by the words as he sat up with wide eyes.

"Don't- don't look at me like that. You- you won't be comfortable here, also you're a guest, so." Taehyung quickly explained, eyes looking here and there, everywhere except at the one person sitting in front of him.

Jungkook sighed and slowly got up from the sofa. "I'm fine here, you will be uncomfortable with that. You're living here, it would be unfair if you sleep on this." He pointed towards the sofa.

Taehyung frowned before sighing and shaking his head.

"We both can sleep in my room, no one needs to sleep on this." Jungkook's mouth hung open at the offer, but he mentally scolded himself.

"It's ok, I'm-"

"I insist, please Mr. Jeon." Taehyung softly said and this time Jungkook couldn't even move his tongue to say anything instead his head moved.

Taehyung smiled and gestured for him to follow. While moving towards the stairs, his gaze fell on a little slit in the door of the room where two pairs of eyes were peeking at him.

He frowned when Jimin's head came out and then his hand to show him a thumbs up before disappearing behind the door.

What?

"This one," Taehyung said once they were in front of a door.

Jungkook silently followed him inside and found the room very much clean and comfy.

"Do you need to change? Um, maybe I've got a hoodie that will be fine for you." Taehyung was mumbling to himself at the end when he started rummaging through his closet with a pout. His gaze fell on the clothes of the raven-haired that the other left on him but he decided to return those in the morning.

Jungkook's heart was beating so badly. They were so close, same room also when the other invited him.

"Ah, this one." Taehyung beamed placing a grey hoodie and a blue pajama on the bed.

Jungkook smiled when Taehyung again went to his closet, maybe to take his own pajamas.

"Blue and grey," Jungkook murmured, taking the clothes in his hands. Even the colors were displaying his emotions but unfortunately, the only person who should see them was oblivious.

"You can go first." Taehyung pointed towards the bathroom and Jungkook silently went inside to change.

Taehyung changed after him and set the bed, taking one pillow and placing it on the couch.

Jungkook sadly smiled as Taehyung made himself comfortable on the couch after visiting his mother and sister who were asleep.

"I can sleep on the couch."

"No, I'm not sleeping now, make yourself comfortable." Taehyung softly said while lying on the couch, keeping his eyes on the ceiling.

"I- I didn't mean to break my promise to never cross our paths, it's just- they asked me with so much hope and I couldn't deny it." Jungkook started, feeling the need to explain his presence.

"Thank you, for not denying that." The answer made him look aside to see the brunet who was still staring at the ceiling.

He is not mad.

"Good night, Mr. Jeon," Taehyung mumbled and closed his eyes but Jungkook was just staring at him. How much he wanted to have the other near himself, on the same bed, sharing his warmth, but he also knew better that it wasn't possible.

"Good night."

Tae.

He couldn't say it louder, just couldn't.

After lying for more than an hour, Taehyung groaned and finally got up from the couch and glanced over the clock. It was around 2:30 a.m. and because of his night shifts in the club, his sleep cycle was totally disturbed.

Taking slow and silent actions, he managed to leave the couch and went towards the window. To his surprise, the sky was so clear and full of stars. He really wanted to open the window but knowing about the other person in the room, he kept it locked and sat on the window sill.

He shortly glanced over the blanket-covered raven-haired and smiled.

He is so humble and what did I do to him?

The thought once again made him feel guilty. Dragging his knees closer to his chest, he buried his face in them, hugging himself like a small kid.

"Can't sleep?" A voice almost startled him and when he looked up, Jungkook was standing near the window, looking outside.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?"

"No, I guess you can't sleep on the couch. You take the bed, I'll take the couch." Taehyung shook his head furiously.

"No, no... It's just our daily routine in the club, I'm not sleepy at all." He explained the reason.

Jungkook nodded his head and leaned over the wall near the window, now facing the brunet.

"I'm not sleepy as well." Taehyung slowly nodded his head and leaned back on the wall as well.

"If you don't mind, we can um- talk?" He hesitated very much, still feeling awkward because of his guilt.

"Sure," Jungkook replied shortly and looked outside of the window. The moon was getting up and now the light of the stars was fading in front of it.

"How is your grandfather?" Jungkook's eyes traveled back to the voice and his heart skipped a beat.

Moon will fade away in front of him.

"He is good. Just returned from the Busan yesterday noon."

"Busan? Your relatives live there?" Taehyung asked curiously.

"We have our family house and some business there."

"Oh, I see." Taehyung again felt awkward as Jungkook was keeping his answers short and he felt like the other wasn't willing to talk to him.

Maybe, he couldn't forget what I did to-

"Your sister, how old is she?" Jungkook asked this time, again looking outside.

"She is- um, 9, going to be 10 in next month. We have a 11-year gap." Taehyung giggled as he mentioned it, remembering how he used to take her on walks when she started walking.

Jungkook couldn't help but smile, those soft giggles, he was hearing that for the first time, the first time when somehow he was the reason behind that music.

"You know, she used to be a very naughty one. She even used to kick my face whenever my mom asked me to feed her." Taehyung told him comically, giggles lightly echoing in the silent room, in the silence of the night. Jungkook just loved it, the way Brunet was opening his heart to him, so innocently and purely.

"But she changed after that accident." His smile fell and thus Jungkook's as well.

"Accident?" Taehyung inhaled deeply and looked out of the window.

"The accident in which I lost my father and Euni- her leg." He again inhaled deeply, not wanting to let his emotions burst out.

Jungkook got tense when Taehyung started pulling his hoodie, eyes looking so distant like his thoughts.

"She is very intelligent for a 9-year-old." Jungkook tried to change the topic and he did when Taehyung nodded with a smile.

"I hope, she didn't cause any problem in the way."

"No, she is very wise with her actions and words," Jungkook commented and again looked up at the boy, who had a sad smile on his plump lips.

"I lost my parents when I was a kid, and lost my grandmother soon after them. My grandfather is my only family. You're lucky to have them." Taehyung bit his lips harshly, not knowing how to react to that.

"He is the one who raised me up and taught me how to cope with life. But, I'm very naive at some points."

"No, you're so kind and generous, Mr. Jeon." Jungkook scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest, the gesture causing the hoodie to tighten over his muscles.

"If I'm not wrong, you used to call me a jerk?" His tone was amusing but Taehyung quickly hung his head low, again feeling bad. Looking at the sad face, Jungkook scolded himself again before leaning forward, having a little distance between their heads.

His own heartbeat quickened when he smelled the sweet scent coming from the other, a scent like strawberries.

"Don't worry, you're a kid afterall." Taehyung jerked his head up at the comment and almost yelped when he found the other's face so close to himself.

"I- I'm not a kid!" He shrieked but his eyes couldn't meet with the intense dark ones, the small smirk was just adding up to the intimidation.

Why he is so close?

"Really? But you just said that both of you have an 11-year gap. If I'm not wrong, you'll be 21 soon but I'm quite older than you." Jungkook exclaimed with the same smirk, not even moving an inch away.

Taehyung felt his heart skip a beat when Jungkook leaned more and a finger touched his chin to move it up.

"I'm 26 years old, Kim, or should I say, Kid?" Taehyung's jaw fell again but Jungkook did the courtesy to close it again with a chuckle.

"You're not that old, you're still young and we share the same first digit. It means you can't call me a kid." Taehyung gained his composure and got up from the sill, causing Jungkook to lean back on the wall.

"Defensive much," Jungkook muttered to which Taehyung shrugged, dusting the nonexistent dust from his hoodie.

"I still can't get it, you're like a totally different person now." After a minute, Taehyung again blurted, squinted eyes looking up for a satisfactory answer this time.

Jungkook sighed inaudibly, eyes again looking for the ethereal view, just at a little distance from him.

"My grandfather did teach me about emotions, about love-" Taehyung's ears perked up as the older started in his husky voice, eyes meeting with his own.

"- but I couldn't learn about how to express those emotions, how to express my love for someone." Taehyung lightly frowned and copied the other's posture, leaning on the wall.

"Your eyes can express your emotions even when your words or actions can't. My father used to say that."

"If that's actually right, then why have you never understood me?" Jungkook almost whispered those words, not wanting to let the other hear them out.

"What?"

"Nothing. Oh, it's 3:40 am. We should sleep now." Before Jungkook could move back to the bed, Taehyung almost jumped in front of him.

"Wait!"

Jungkook was wide-eyed when Taehyung did so. He carefully observed the other's actions, he was biting, not actually chewing his lower lip, eyes not meeting with his gaze, fingers again fidgeting with the hoodie.

He is nervous?

"What do you wanna say, Kim?"

Taehyung pouted and deeply inhaled.

Let's say it, brave Taehyung.

"First of all, stop calling me Kim. I feel like I'm an old man." He huffs with the demand and Jungkook? God, he was feeling his ears heating up the way other stepped closer to him with the same pout.

"Then.. what should I call you?"

"Taehyung, of course. You're older than me, afterall." Jungkook nodded lightly, feeling his skin tingling for some reason.

"Also, um- can I.. can I call you Hyung?" Taehyung's voice fell on the word but Jungkook did hear it clearly, making his heart skip another beat in excitement.

Don't tell me it's a dream, please.

But his thoughts broke in the next second when a cold hand touched his warm one, so gently and softly, like a feather.

Taehyung was getting more nervous when he grabbed the other's hand, but he was determined to do so today.

Say it, say it, you idiot!

"Taehyung?" Jungkook called him so softly, making him feel strange for a moment but he shrugged it off.

"Um, hyung-"

Ok, now he will be the cause of my death, saying hyung like that.

Jungkook's mind was screaming in panic at the word, on the soft touch over his hand while his hand was twitching to wrap around the other's soft yet cold one.

"What is it? Tell me." He asked, keeping his emotions to himself like ever, waiting for the other to open up more.

Taehyung blinked many times before looking up at the other with expectant eyes.

"Can you be my friend?"
