4: Keep it up
Ignore mistakes, please
Third person P.O.V
He felt his heart shattered more when Seoyun again giggled as Jungkook slightly caressed her hair, a very flirtatious smirk on his lips, clearly notifying something.
Taehyung wanted to rush there and yank away the senior and throw him on the concrete floor but he couldn't just do so. Clenching his fists with his rising anger, he harshly turned back on his heels and ran away from the area, a small effort to make himself hurt less.
"You have no right to be like this," Taehyung muttered lowly as he continued abusing his legs, and harsh stomping on the pathway could be heard by the people walking around him who gave him a weird look.
"She's my friend." He again muttered.
"But she is not committed to you or anything like that, Taehyung! Don't be ridiculous. You've no right on her.... no right at all." He clenched the fabric over his chest as his eyes started stinging a bit, an old nature of crying whenever he is too much angry and it never went away.
The way to his rented house went short due to his rushy speed and big steps. Once the door was opened by his annoyed aunt, he quickly rushed upstairs and threw himself over the mattress.
"Don't be a fool Taehyung.. please don't." He scolded himself but the scene of his crush enjoying the touch of another person made him feel pathetic.
"She can't like someone like you. Why she would? What are you?" He threw the weak punch over the mattress and dug his face more into his pillow.
Muttering many things like that, he fell asleep with the smiling face of Seoyun in his mind, but not for the CFO, for him.
He woke up to the loud voice of his aunt, maybe screaming at some child in the neighborhood. Taking some deep breaths, he got up from the mattress and cursed some cute profanities as he realized that he was still wearing one of his very few decent clothes.
Groaning here and there, he quickly freshened up and changed into his normal clothes. It was 8 p.m., so he decided to visit the grocery store. Checking his little savings in his old wallet, he found a few bills.
The young male walked downstairs to see his aunt kind of pushing a man, while the latter was trying to make excuses. Taking a careful glance, Taehyung quickly recognized the person as the same one he saw in the morning. He was about to interrupt when she suddenly started smiling shyly and hugged back the man.
Taehyung frowned at that and shook his head before leaving the two alone in the house without saying a word. The cold wind of the night hit his face and as a result, he felt himself falling deeper in his thin shirt and old hoodie, hand shoved inside the pockets. He felt the wind refreshing at the moment despite the harshness. Cheap groceries were his target of the night and also within the little amount of money he had in his pocket.
The counter boy gave him a look when he placed the things on the counter to scan. A few cheap packets of bread, one milk pack, and 6 eggs with a small packet of rice floor.
The counter boy gave him the shopping bag when Taehyung handed him the crumpled notes. When he turned back to leave, he heard a little groan from the boy which he ignored as he had to eat bread instead of ramen. He had to do so because when he calculated, he could manage only 2 packets of ramen in place of 5 packets of bread. It didn't take long for him to decide.
Walk back to the house was slow and once he was there, he ate a piece of bread with little milk and called it a day, trying to forget the uneasiness in his heart at the thought of Seoyun.

Despite the still lingering tiredness, he woke up early the next morning and was on time in his cabin. Of course, he had to skip breakfast for the day to maintain the remaining food for the whole month.
He was again met with heavy piles of files and like a hardworking boy, he did the work.
Seoyun was nowhere to be seen and that kind of made him a bit relaxed as well because he wasn't ready to face her.
"Do a recheck after the break Kim and send the files to my email," Minho broke his bubble of silence after patting his shoulder.
"Sure," Taehyung replied simply and turned back to the screen as he watched the employees leaving the cabins with huge smiles, stretching their arms and legs to feel relaxed. The poor boy sighed when his stomach rumbled at the thought of food but he slightly slapped his poor tummy.
"Don't be noisy, you hungry hole." He scolded his protesting stomach and turned back to the screen to complete the work.
The rest of the day was blurry for him as he was just digging his head into the screen but he did come to know that Seoyun was on leave for the day and the next one as well.
Luckily, he didn't come across the CFO and as the day was smooth enough, he was so damn sure that the arrogant person was nothing but bad luck for him. A sense of relief washed over him when he passed through the same area where he spotted the CFO with his crush yesterday night but found no one today.
In the house, he was greeted by the man this time who gave him a look that Taehyung couldn't comprehend.
"Who is he can you tell me again?" Taehyung heard him when he was at the top of the stairs.
"A distant relative." His aunt answered from the kitchen. That's all Taehyung heard before entering the room.
He changed and had a piece of bread before calling his mother.
"Hello, mom. How are you and my baby girl?" He asked while setting his bed.
"My dear son, she is fine now but again not talking much. All the tests are fine except for one. The doctor recommended some medications on a daily basis... but it's okay. H-how is my son?"
Taehyung sadly smiled and plopped on the worn-out mattress, phone pressed against his left cheek as he was lying on the left side
"I'm fine mom... I'm fine." He said though he was well aware that he was anything but fine.
In the past years, he had to bear the hunger many times but it wasn't this much worse. He used to do many part-time jobs at that time but now he can't even do that. The burden of the heavy responsibility on his shoulders and the little heartbreak was also hurting him badly, just adding to his misery.

"Yes Sir?"
"Oh come here Taehyung. Please help me sort out these." Mr. Park said while moving here and there in the office.
Taehyung quickly joined him and helped him in arranging things rather quickly when the phone in the office rang and Mr. Park quickly accepted the call.
"Oh yes.
Sure. My secretary is on leave but I'll send someone else. Don't worry."
Taehyung was still stacking the files on the table when he heard that little conversation.
"Taehyung, can you give me a favor?" Mr. Park started and Taehyung gave him his full attention.
"Yes sir?"
"Can you please bring that file to the Financial department?" Taehyung's little smile faltered a bit at the mention of that but he composed himself quickly.
"Yes sure sir." He took the file from Mr. Park's hand and turned on his heels to leave.
"Make sure to hand it over to Mr. Jeon, CFO of our company. It's an important one." Taehyung felt like tearing up the papers on the spot for some unknown reasons but nonetheless nodded his head.
He asked one of the workers about the department and took the elevator to reach the 6th floor of the building.
"Go straight and then turn right." The lady on the counter guided him and he took some slow steps toward the office.
The whole portion was well managed as compared to the rest of the building. None of the workers was talking or smiling but just working with blank faces.
"He must be like a demon for all of them. Poor workers." The words of sympathy rolled off of his tongue. Pouting at their poor fate, he trusted further and gulped slightly before knocking on the door, straightening himself a bit.
"I'm not clumsy." It was like a reminder to himself before he entered the office after hearing a come-in.
His mouth was a bit ajar on the view. The inside of the office was all dark grey and black themed but the look was so elegant that he found himself staring at the interior.
"If you're done staring, then enlighten me with the reason for your appearance." He heard the voice and quickly shook his head and placed the file on the table.
"Mr. Park send this file for you from the art department." With confidence, he informed and turned to leave before the voice interrupted him again.
"And who gave you permission to leave?" The voice held so much authority that the poor boy had to turn back and hang his head low a bit. A bit afraid of what the senior would do with him because he wasn't ready for any sort of complain.
Jungkook gave him a death glare before throwing some money in front of him.
"Buy me lunch from the Moonlight restaurant. They will give you the bag and you just need to pay."
"And why would I do so?" Taehyung spat but quickly slapped his mouth with wide eyes.
Jungkook cocked his brow before standing up and walking towards him with a very much angry face. "Because," The raven-haired tilted his head when the distance reduced. "-you're working under me."
"No, I'm not." Taehyung frowned and bit down his tongue while averting his gaze.
"You aren't clumsy but a brat too. Don't have manners on how to treat your seniors." The voice was deep but so dangerously low that Taehyung felt a bit intimidated.
"Go, before I complain about your behavior to your chief." Jungkook spat and walked back to his chair.
Taehyung clenched his jaw but grabbed the money and left the office. He informed Mr. Park about the task that the CFO gave him and the male smiled at that... and for the very first time, he didn't like his chief.
The little string of strength and control broke when he reached the restaurant after 10 minutes of rushy walking. The restaurant was quite distant from the company and the poor boy had to walk a lot. His stomach started grumbling loudly when he sniffed the smell of expensive food but he could do nothing.
After 45 minutes, he was back at the building and was standing in front of the office. He felt slightly lightheaded from all the walk and an empty stomach only added to the pain.
"Come in." After the knock and permission, he entered the office to see the other busy on his laptop. Taking the chance to avoid him, he silently placed the bag on the table with the change.
"Were you preparing that food?" Taehyung wanted to scream many profanities at the man in front of him.
"I had to walk-"
"I know that. You've legs so that's why I ushered you to the nearest restaurant." Sarcasm? Taehyung clenched his fists and decided to keep his mouth shut this time.
"Can I leave now?"
"Still no manners," Jungkook muttered but loud enough to be heard by the drained boy.
"I'm sorry," Taehyung said in a low voice and bowed a little but regretted when his body swayed forward, if it wasn't for the chair, he must've fallen on the floor.
"Can't even stand properly." Jungkook seethed before taking the bag and opening it.
At this point, Taehyung felt like crying. His anger was reaching its limit but his energy was also at the limit. Once again gulping back all the words, he quickly turned back and walked to the door but the sight was quite blurry due to the dizziness. He opened the door with great difficulty and rushed to the elevator.
He just wanted to leave the place as soon as possible but the elevator was taking its sweet time, so in the end he decided to take the stairs and that was his biggest mistake at the time.
