It's the last month of summer, and the team at Contemporary Lit have been hearing a lot about the great stories Wattpad readers are enjoying while they're on holiday. This gave us an idea for a fun, summer-themed challenge.

We want you to recommend the Wattpad stories you think would be great summer reads for your fellow Contemporary Lit enthusiasts to try, and share those story links in the comment section of this chapter. These can be stories you've already read, or stories on your to-be-read list that were recommended to you. We've included some story tags that we are especially interested in.

Our guidelines below will explain the details of the challenge so you can make the most of this fabulous story sharing initiative.

1. This challenge is solely intended to help you and your fellow Wattpadders find great summer reads that are written in the Contemporary Lit genre. No prizes will be awarded for participation. But if our ambassador team enjoys the story you've shared, we will add it to one of our reading lists and give you a shout out on our message board.

2. This challenge will be active throughout the entire month of August, 2024.

3. We'd like to see some stories with the following tags (It's okay if your recommended story does not include one of these tags): #contemporarylit #summer #summertime #summerread #summerromance #summervacation #summermystery #beachread #beachromance

4. If you're a writer, you can recommend your own stories.

5. The stories you suggest must be written in English.

6. We ask that you keep the Contemporary Lit genre in mind when recommending stories, even if the main genre is something else, such as romance or thriller. (See our Profile Guide for a description of Contemporary Literature.)

7. You can recommend as many stories as you wish, as long as they fit the Contemporary Lit genre.

8. You're welcome to include a short message with the story link if you want to share why you enjoyed the story. Please, also let us know if you don't wish to receive a shout out should your story rec be chosen for a reading list.

9. Mature stories are accepted but they must follow Wattpad's Content Guidelines.

10. Please, only post story links in the comments of this chapter. Any links shared on the Contemporary Lit message board will be deleted.
