She walked into her house, closing the door. It had been a couple days since her birthday and everything had been going so perfectly.

Her and malachi spent practically every living second with the other and their friends were so tired of their constant flirting. Neither of them could stop though as they had to hide how they felt for the other for so long they appreciated the time they could spend together.

They weren't officially dating but she didn't mind, she knew that they both liked each other and it had only been a couple days. He consumed practically every thought she ever had and she wouldn't change that for anything.

She noticed her mum and frowned, they had still not talked about the fact that they were moving and in all reality mariah was trying to forget that, that was even going to happen.

"hey sweetie, we need to talk" her mum said noticing her presence, she nodded knowing they did.

"i was thinking a lot about the moving and if you really want to stay here then we will" her mum said smiling at her. She felt herself smile and felt so relieved as she hugged her mum "thank you so much"

"i just want you to be happy" she said and then she paused smiling cheekily before she added "i hear you and malachi are dating"

She groaned and her mum chuckled "you know i'm happy for you, i love malachi he's a sweet boy" her mum said having always known the two of them would get together.

"thanks mum, i got to go get ready for our date" she said smiling at her mum and with that she walked upstairs to get ready for their first official date.

"where are we?" she questioned giggling as malachi kept his hands over her eyes "you'll see soon enough" he replied grinning at her eagerness.

"you know i hate surprises, i swear you do this on purpose" she groaned as she suddenly felt them both stop. He laughed at her words as he pulled his hands off her face.

She blinked a couple times trying to adjust to the light and gasped once she could see what was in front of her.

They were in a field with a river not to far off and in front her was laid out a picnic with all sorts of foods put down for the both of them, she noticed how he made sure to include all her favourite snacks.

She spun round and hugged malachi, grateful for having set this up "this is so pretty, you didn't have to do so much" she said as she looked back at the picnic.

"are you kidding me? of course i did. This is our first date" he said smiling as he sat down and patted the spot beside himself.

She sat down and smiled looking up at him. She was convinced that he had been created by God himself with the way he seemed to be so perfect.

She knew she had to tell him her good news and she couldn't hold it in any longer "we aren't moving away" she announced. Mal paused for a second as her words registered in his brain then he grinned and looked at her with complete joy as he sighed in relief.

"this is the best news ever, i don't know what i would've done not being able to see you anymore" he admitted and she smiled kissing him "well you don't have to worry about that anymore, i'm not going anywhere" he smiled at her words.

"now let's eat, i'm starving" she said as she started sifting through the food, he laughed as he also began to choose what to eat.

They ate and laughed enjoying the time they were spending with the other. They talked about anything and everything that came to mind, the conversation always flowing easy with each other.

They were now laid down and looking up at sky, mariah's head was rested on malachi's chest as he played with her hair twisting it around. She let out a sigh of content feeling so happy whenever she was around him.

"you know you're like actually perfect" she spoke up looking up at him, he looked down at her and smiled "you're alright i guess" he replied smirking.

She laughed rolling her eyes and he pulled her in for a kiss as they both talked about their plans for their future. She didn't think she would ever get tired of the way she felt around him and malachi felt the exact same.

i can't believe i finished a book that's so crazy, i might come back from time to time to right a bonus chapter but other than that, that's it.
