We heard the thudding of footsteps, going up and down, but there was no one. The fire in the hearth was enough to throw lights in the hall. I saw some moment around the table in the hall, I could see some shadows around there. At first, I thought, it may be our shadows on the wall, which was shimmering, as the fire was dancing due to wind blowing inside. Later, the chair began to move with the creaking sound, and this was it. I roared, "Guys!! There is someone out there." Everyone looked towards the table, and there were few dark shadows. We got up, and there were dark shadows coming down the stairs, they seemed like floating on the stairs. We tucked the divine lockets out of our necks, and tied on the fists of our hands. Perhaps, we had the courage to get into action. We walked towards the shadows, and the divine lockets began to glow. The windows closed again, with a thudding sound. The dark shadows disappeared, as I saw the tape recorder, and the obnoxious book on the teapoy, I uttered, "Guys!! Let us destroy the obnoxious things." Everyone agreed with me.

As we were deciding to do this. Suddenly, we heard screaming, and eerie laughter, all around the house, it seemed that the sound was thundering the house. I knew that those obnoxious spirits will not impale us, as we have the divine lockets, and then, we pushed the books and the tape recorder in the fire. We watched these objects getting destroyed into the heaps of ashes. We did not sleep that night, and the next day, we called the priests from the temple, where we had visited, we explained the priests, what happened last night at the house, and they informed us that, as we had the divine lockets, so the house is free from evil spirits. We requested the priests to conduct the house warming, thus the priests conducted the house warming, and especially, the cellar. A yagna was conducted, and thus, the house was purified. We gave enough money to the priests for their assistance. The priests and we decided to keep this incident a secret. After few weeks, few government officials visited the house, and there was no untoward incident happened there. After those officials left, we were back in that house, which was our office too. We stay in the house during day, but at night we leave, however, we stay overnight in that house on a weekends or holidays. The circuit house, stands to this day, the government officials visit this house, every month, unknown about the history of this house, which is hidden underneath.
