Tamaki honestly wished he could go back to school. When he was with his parents, he wanted to do anything but go to school. Especially since he usually went with matted hair, a crumpled uniform, and was usually sick and forced to go. He always had an awful immune system.

Nejire being nice to him after he "went missing" was a beautiful new thing. Especially since it probably wasn't on purpose or anything. She just had a good heart. It just happened to be a few months after he really went missing. 

Right now, she was the only reason he wanted to go back to school. Maybe Mirio as well, but they hadn't really talked since middle school.

Unknown: hey! It's Nejire! This is Tamaki right?

"Yea"

Nejire: how are you? We have to hang out soon!

Tamaki looked at the message and was flustered. She probably wanted to hang out during the day. He'd get sunburns if he went outside. Since he was still somewhat human, he still had human consequences for things vampires did. Like garlic made him sick and he had an allergic reaction, he couldn't transform into a bat, or anything like that.

Tamaki: I'm good! Wanna hang out this weekend?

There was a longer curfew for weekends.

Nejire: I have to go dress shopping maybe Sunday?

That worked for him. He forgot prom even existed, maybe because he doesn't go to school, or maybe because he thought it was pointless. Whatever.

Right now, Eijirou and Tatami's aunt had dropped by with her husband? He was confused by their marital status's, but because Shinya was a S.U.N, he was forced to stay in his room and they were gonna say that he was sick or something. It was his own fault for showing that picture of Tatami to him anyways.

Luna ran out of his room and down the stairs to where Taishiro was. He could hear their conversation as much as he could.

"So, where's Tamaki at?" Ryuko asked, sitting on one couch with Shinya while her brother sat on the other.

"Oh, he's sick."

"See, that's a shame. I hoped to see him tonight. Nejire spoke highly about him." Ryuko teased. "And I didn't know you had a nephew. Especially one with the name Tamaki." She mumbled to herself. Her sister-in-law's family was a white family. The name Tamaki stood out very weirdly.

"He just moved in with us actually. But aside from that, I haven't seen you in a while Shinya." Taishiro said. Shinya waved at him and went back to fiddling with his hair. "You two have been together for a while, when's the wedding?"

Ryuko flushed up as if she was drinking alcohol. Shinya raised an eyebrow at his girlfriend's brother.

"Soon." He said and smirked at Ryuko. She just glared at her brother with an embarrassed look on her face. "What kind of wine is this?" Shinya asked.

"Cheap with plastic glasses." Taishiro shrugged, leaning onto his couch. "Oh yeah, how's your sister?"

"She's good. Still adjusting to Ryuko." Shinya said, taking a sip of the cheap wine. It was pretty bad but still alcohol.

"Yeah. She's definitely adjusting." Ryuko laughed under her breath. "So, how's Emi?" Ryuko asked, looking around. She knew that Tatami and Eijirou didn't know about her friend dating her brother.

"She's happy. We've been thinking about introducing her to the kids as my girlfriend soon. She's wonderful." Taishiro gushed over his girlfriend all the time.

"Aww. I knew it was a good idea to get you two together." Ryuko grinned. "She's lovely."

As Shinya listened to the conversation he was supposed to participate in, Luna jumped on his lap and curled up on him.

"How'd you do that?" Taishiro said, pausing their entire conversation. "She hates all of us. Especially Tamaki."

"Hm? Oh, I just love cats and cats love me." Shinya said, picking her up and holding her like a baby. "Reiko says it's some foreshadowing stuff regarding me. Like people I'll like and people I won't like."

"Funny, Minette scratched Nejire and you two get along fine." Ryuko said.

"She never said it was instant. And Minette's a bitch to everybody, I love Nejire." Shinya laughed, teasing Ryuko. "You should play some music." He said trying to change the subject.

"You remind me of Nejire a lot. You two just act like you'd be siblings." Taishiro laughed, playing music on their tv. "Like, siblings that actually get along." He laughed, playing a Bruno Mars song. They had been drinking and now they were listening to Bruno. That did made a recipe for disaster on most occasions, but right now Ryuko and Shinya were just dancing around to Locked Out Of Heaven like goofy little kids.

Taishiro was happy for his sister. But he knew Shinya... This guy wasn't good for Tamaki. A white coat ranked number 4... That means he was only three ranks below the best officer in the entire country. This was California where there was the most supernatural species though, so that probably played a part.

The thing was... a kid he thought of as his own, or his own sister he cared for throughout his own childhood because their parents neglected them for their other children. Who was he supposed to love more.

That Saturday morning, Nejire and Natsuo were sitting in his place. Nejire had been invited over solely so they could just head over to get food and then go dress shopping, just because it was less time consuming, and all of the cute places were near him.

"Oh yeah, you know we're getting blue instead of pink right?" Nejire asked. "Speaking of blue, where's your dad?" Nejire asked. Enji's eyes were bright blue.

"One, why are we changing it from pink? Two, he's in DC right now." He asked. Nejire nodded as she was invited to the living room of their very Japanese inspired home. Shinya was in D.C right now as well. She assumed it was some government stuff.

"Well, this girl and I have a massive rivalry and she chose pink for her dress and tagged me in it, so if I show up in pink everyone's gonna think I copied her! So blue works better for me anyways!" Nejire rambled, not taking a break. "Oh yeah, where's Moe? And the babies!" Nejire gasped. She loved Roman when she met him, but Genesis! She had to meet her.

"Moe is with dad. Roman went out with Fuyumi, Momo and Shoto are at the hospital, and I'm here!" He laughed. "Touya might walk around with Genesis." He shrugged, sitting on the couch with her. He sat on one side and she sat in the middle. He turned the tv on and it automatically turned to the News. "You can change it if you like, I'm gonna go get a donut. You want one?"

"Sure! Ummm. The news is good for me." Nejire said, turning to the tv as Natsuo got up to get food.

"I am Enji Todoroki of the Slaying of Unnatural Species Organization. As head of the officers in the nation, the organization can no longer remain a secret for the safety of everyone in our nation."

The recording was taken at night where the officers all stood in a line with Enji at the podium. Natsuo looked at the tv and rolled his eyes as Touya walked in holding his infant daughter.

"What the hell?" He asked, enraged. He was very quiet because Genesis was asleep. "Natsuo what is he doing?"

The officers were in a lineup. All wearing military formal uniforms. Hats with pins, coats that accommodate their uniform colors. They all stood outside of the White House, every major officer was standing there, including Shinya.

"Many people question why we have implemented a curfew for nine pm on weekdays. America's children are in danger of simply dying on the streets because of creatures we see in horror movies. Trust me, I am completely aware of how insane I sound." He stopped talking for a quick moment to show off Kendou Rappa, a tall man with hair covering his entire body.

He had been chained up, his teeth bared, him snarling, and drooling. This was a live werewolf. The same one who attacked Eijirou and Taishiro, most likely the one who gave him his scar.

"Kendou Rappa attacked an off duty officer and his child. He's imprisoned at our facility so he can no longer harm anyone.

These "people" are not like us. They kill, eat, and torture us, and this goes for every single one of them. No one is safe as long as these monsters exist. Your friends could be one. We will be issuing signs of supernatural entities soon, and everyone should be wary of the people they come across."

Nejire felt somewhat guilty. Natsuo and Touya clearly didn't support their father, and here she was. Working for a man only three rankings below him.

"Hey Nejire, would you mind turning the channel?" Natsuo asked politely. Nejire nodded and turned the channel.

Wasn't this supposed to be a secret? Not part of the military? Now the entire country, most likely the world, knew that monsters existed. Did Ryuko know about this. Who decided to expose this? What happened?

A week ago,

Shinya sat at his spot at the table. August Yaoyorozu, the new head sponsor, sat at the front, Enji and his daughter in law sat next to one another, and basically the rest of the good officers sat there, because they held good positions. Like, Shinya was the head of the Undead unit, Rumi and Keigo were in charge of the animalistic unit (aka Werewolves and Sirens), Tsunagu was the head of the rebirth unit with things like fae, etc.

"As you all know, my wife certainly is not getting better. Um, so I don't exactly know how this stuff goes, so you guys talk and I'll listen." August said.

"Ok, um... well, I'll be talking first." Shinya said. "I think we should become public. I was against it, but I realized, we could easily gain thousands of new officers, assistants, and support, if we become public. Slowly convince people that we're right, because yeah, we are. We're saving people. We could save a lot more people if we do, because they won't try and disobey curfews."

"Yes, but could also gain more species just by telling the public." Tsunagu said.

"Yes, but think about how many people don't realize they're in relationships with demons, werewolves, specters. Safety comes when you can point out the signs." Shinya proposed. Maybe he was projecting. Maybe he wasn't.

Maybe Taishiro wasn't aware he had a vampire in his home. He was only an Adonis when he worked there. So he wasn't really pointing out the signs. After all, white coats did the messy stuff. They'd do it cleanly and quick, and that's why their uniforms were white. If they fucked up, that's seen on their uniform. Succubi were the only species that didn't apply to, mainly because their blood literally shot at you.

"That's actually a pretty good idea. Warp the minds of our nation. Have them realize that they're all in danger even in their own home and we're the ones that can protect them." Enji said.

The conversation continued for a while. Like, a long time. Rumi and Keigo arguing for, Tsunagu and Shinji against. Shinya liked the argument. It was oddly fun.

"I'm Touya." Natsuo's brother said, trying to move away from that whole part of the morning.

"We've met before! Our recital? I'm friends with your wife." Nejire grinned. Touya looked down at her and ruffled her hair, which was something only her dad could do. She cringed and stuck her tongue out at him. "Now that I think about it, you're really familiar." Nejire mumbled, pressing a finger to her lip.

"Oh, I'm in a band. Ha. Kinda famous I guess."

"Rock?" Nejire asked. He looked like he was into rock music.

"More punk. Ya know? Have you listened to my band before?"

"Oh, uh yeah! My mom and friend listen to you! I've been to your concerts before, I think. You're Dabi, right?"

"Natsuo, please date her." Touya whined, wrapping his arm around her neck and leaning on her. "She's actually cool."

"Touya, stop being weird. Nejire, he's attention craving." Natsuo rolled his eyes.

"It's all good! He's cool! And is this Genesis? Look how cute she is!" Nejire gasped, looking at the blind baby. "Can I hold her?" She asked. She was precious.

"Sure." Touya said, handing her over.

"Her hair is so pretty. Marie Antoinette Syndrome?" She asked. It was pure white, while Roman had red hair and so did Touya. And Moe had some hair color, she just dyed hers.

"Nope. Wait... Natsuo do I have that? It's weird as fuck, but my hair was the same color as Roman's but it turned white like our mother's hair. So I guess?"

These two were funny.

"Ok, so, she's blind and may grab around." Touya said, watching as his daughter reached for Nejire's fingers and chest.

"I love her so much oh my gosh!" Nejire whined, hugging her closely and cradling her gently. "She's so pretty!" Genesis had light teal eyes that were glazed over because of her blindness. She had light little freckles decorating her face.

About a minute later she started screaming and Nejire had to hand her back to her dad.

"Hey, Natsuo, let's get going!" Nejire said. "Let's get this out of the way." She mumbled. She had to take a picture of it so everyone knew that dress was off limits. She was still going for her fairy theme and wanted to wear a flower crown, deadass. She was wearing the flower crown.

"Bye Touya." Natsuo said, walking with her. Nejire could see the anger Natsuo had for what his dad had just said a few minutes ago. He was trying to stay happy so her day wouldn't be ruined and she felt bad for that.

The streets were filled with people like always. Nejire stuck close to Natsuo and decided to hold his hand.

"Did you have classes today?" Nejire asked, trying to cheer him up.

"They aren't until this afternoon. I have practice later though."

"Oh, basketball?" Nejire asked. It was a stupid question, that's what he had a scholarship for.

"Yeah... hey, you're into dance, you should totally try out for a dance team or cheerleading." Natsuo suggested, a large smile on his face.

"Eh... I'm not into cheer. Dance sounds fun though!" Nejire shrugged. "I just realized we're matching!" Nejire gasped. She wore a white tshirt and black Adidas sweat pants. He wore the same thing. "Isn't that funny."

"You're really random." He laughed with a small blush.

"Yeah, I haven't been taking my meds lately. I lose my appetite and just get really boring when I take them, so like, why would I do that when I love to eat and stuff?" Nejire shrugged, picking at a scab on her shoulder. 

"I meant it in a good way, I think your rants are adorable." He said with a cute grin.

Nejire blushed. Not a lot of people told her it was cute. Only Yuyu, and it was Yuyu. She thought Nejire was adorable at everything! Nejire was so happy that someone else said that.
