Mother

If you're wondering why I never talk about their school day much, it's because school is boring af, why would I write that.

Warning Mochi bullies French people.

✨✨✨✨✨

The hype over her boss died down that day. Which was good, but also funny. Mainly because the internet was still all over it, meanwhile most of the girls at her school got over it when they heard that he was in a relationship.

"Hey, Reiko! How are you?" Nejire asked. She had felt bad for the stuff she had to hear about her older brother.

"I'm fine." Reiko sighed. A purple haired boy stood across the hallway. His hair was really curly and he had a nose ring in. Reiko blushed as she looked at him.

"Oooh! Who's that?" Nejire asked. "He's tall! And cute." She said aloud. Reiko's face was bright red just from seeing him.

"Oh, uh... just a guy." Reiko mumbled, looking offwards. "He hangs out with some of my friends." Reiko whispered.

"Hey Reiko." He said as he brushed past her.

"Hey Hito. I'll see you at lunch." Reiko calmly spoke as if she weren't blushing a minute ago. "He's amazing. I mean, yeah he vapes and shit but he's a nice guy." She swooned.

"Oh my god! You love him?" Nejire gasped.

"N-no! I just have a tiny crush! I'm gonna go to class, bye!" Reiko squealed and ran off, blushing like a mad woman. She was adorable when her emotions were much clearer.

"Bye Reiko!" Nejire shouted, waving bye to her as she ran down the hall.

✨✨✨✨✨

"Ok, everyone, uh, Momo has some news now that she's back." Ryuko said, inviting Momo up to the stage. She hadn't shown up in quite a bit, but today, she had red puffy eyes, her appearance was disheveled, and she had certainly been crying.

"So, uh... well," Momo was stammering over her words, sniffling over her words. "Mr.Todoroki green lighted us having a sleepover at his home I guess." Momo sighed.  "Uh... how do I say this?" Momo moved her body to shake her hands in a jazzy position. "Mother has stage four breast cancer and has to have her boob removed even though she's a sex symbol and it'll be detrimental to her career but if she doesn't it'll literally kill her!" Momo said in one large breathe.

The entirety of the squad got up and surrounded her with hugs.

"It's gonna be ok!"

"We're here for you!"

"Your mother will be fine!"

That was all Momo heard. And truth be told, it wasn't worth it. They were all false promises from people who didn't understand how much her mother, father, and herself had prayed over a rosary, despite not being the most religious people. Wishing for the best for their mother and wife.

"T-thanks. We can start practice now." She mumbled and wiped her tears. Ryuko took her to the side to comfort her.

"Everyone, start working on stretches. Momo, come into my office." She whispered. She brought Momo into the back office and locked the door so no one could interrupt them.

"Momo, I can't tell you how sorry I am. It's awful that this has happened, but you're gonna get through it, alright?" Ryuko said, embracing Momo in a tight little hug.

"I'm sorry, but it's really not helpful when people who don't know what I'm going through, try to comfort me by saying everything is gonna be ok." Momo whined out with a broken voice. Cracks slipping through her voice and everything. "They don't know that."

"That... that makes a lot of sense." Ryuko realized, "Do you know Reiko Yanagi?" Ryuko asked. "White hair, blue eyes? Kinda mean?" Ryuko asked with a small snicker. Momo nodded. "I don't think her trauma is for me to tell, but she moved in with us because her mother passed away. If you want a real person who will understand, I suggest her first." Ryuko said in a very quiet voice.

"I've tried to talk to Shoto about it as well ya know. Cuz like, we're dating! But he's not a big help even though he hasn't seen his mom in a while either." Momo sighed. "Would Reiko even want to talk about me?" Momo asked.

"How about we set up a tea party. We had one last night. I found out so much about myself just from her." She grinned, "I'll get your favorite tea, bring a doll, and you two can talk to one another without Shinya or I present." Ryuko offered.

"I'd like that."

"Great!"

✨✨✨✨

(Yes Momo's mother having cancer is important.)

"Bye Ryuko!" Nejire shouted into the building as she headed to Natsuo's car. It was pretty nice. It wasn't anything special, but it was still nice. "Hey Natsuo. How was school?" She asked, taking in deep breaths.

"Oh, it was good."

"Wait, why isn't Momo coming with us?" Nejire asked, realizing Momo went to the Todoroki house after school. "She could just come with us?" Momo asked.

"She goes to the hospital to see her mom. She's gonna come home later. Did she tell you about what happened?" Natsuo asked. Nejire just nodded and sighed. "Yeah, it really sucks, right?"

"Yeah, I think she was overwhelmed by us trying to comfort her." Nejire whispered. "I feel bad." Nejire sighed.

"I get how you feel. Shoto has been trying to help her but he doesn't know how to feel. It's just hard to help with something you don't know about, ya know? Like, I couldn't tell you how to feel about your dad and stuff because, well, I have my biological dad in my life." Natsuo sighed. "

"Yeah, I guess that's true." Nejire sighed. Her phone buzzed loudly and she turned to look at her phone. "Mama just texted me."

Mama: I'm barricading the cafe, get ride home plz!

"Mama said to take me home, not the cafe. I'll put in the address." Nejire said, typing in her street name. "It's kinda far, but not too far or anything." Nejire grinned.

The drive was... eventful.

People crowded the streets. Signs being held, cursing out the officers of the S.U.N.S organization. Signs screaming "It's Murder!" covering the streets.

"I'd join them but I'd probably be murdered." Natsuo sighed. "When your last name is famous for sports, music, and for the DC bullshit, you're bound to be found out." He was certainly upset. "You might be home a bit late." He sighed again.

"It's fine." Nejire squealed out. She was embarrassed by the signs. All calling her a heartless murder associate. "Is there a way around them?" Nejire asked, not wanting to hear the protests anymore.

"There should be, so let's go before someone tries to break in. Whether it's the cops or the protestors." Natsuo chuckled and began to search for other ways on their GPS. It took a minute, but he finally found one and began to pull away.

"They're still people!"

They weren't. They weren't people. They were dead! They were dead! They were dead! They were dead!

"Nejire, you good? You look like you saw a ghost." Natsuo said, looking at her through the mirror. Nejire looked at him with much wider eyes.

"Oh... just about my dad, haha!" She said with a large lie. "How am I supposed to tell my mom I wanna see my sperm bag." She asked, leaning back.

"Like I said, I wouldn't know. I guess just bring it up. It'd be a lot better to ask someone who can understand. Maybe you should ask when you get a good idea for it and understand what you'd wanna say?"

"Ok!"

✨✨✨✨

"Hey baby!" Mochi shouted from the kitchen. "How was school?" She asked.

"Well, it was just as boring as always. Almost done with it though!" Nejire grinned as she walked in and kissed her forehead. "Oh yeah, this is Natsuo. He drove me home, and he's my prom date." Nejire said, introducing her very tall friend. Mochi peered her head out of the kitchen and squinted.

"Damn, he's tall." Mochi commented with a laugh. Her face was entirely covered with flour. "Give me a minute and I'll come over." She said, using a pink towel on her face.

"Oh, take your time." Natsuo lightly shouted back.

"Sorry, I think she's making cookies?" Nejire tried to think of what she was doing in the kitchen.

"It's bread!" Mochi scolded her daughter and came out wearing her pink apron, which was generously coated in flour. "It's a gift for Shinya and Ryuko. They're not doing anything, Shinya's just French and I'm bullying him." Mochi snickered to herself.

"Oh, nice." Natsuo laughed.

"Sorry! I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Mochi Hadou! Malachi is upstairs right now. Uh... thanks for taking my daughter home, and I'll pay your fifteen every hour your with her at prom?"

"Mama!"

"No, it's fine! I actually asked her." Natsuo laughed gently. Not a total lie. Momo asked for him.

"Oh? And here I was thinking you would've gone to prom with Mirio." She laughed, pointing at Nejire, "anyways, did you know I went to prom with your father? He's older than me, and asked me. Then, ya know, Nejire nine months later!" Mochi babbled on going back to the kitchen.

"Ew!" Nejire gagged. "Don't talk about that!"

"Fine. Natsuo, would you like a cookie?"

"Oh, uh, sure?" He said, quite unsure of himself. He was handed a jar of chocolate chip cookies.

"Needed to get rid of them anyways. Those types weren't selling. They're oatmeal cookies, should've known that." The dark haired woman  sighed. "Anyways, thanks for dropping her off, see you soon." Mochi said, standing on her tiptoes and hugging him. Mochi was rather tall, being about 5'7, so her in her house slippers didn't get any advantage, but she could still reach his shoulders on her tiptoes.

"Well, bye Mrs.Hadou, bye Nejire, and tell your husband I said bye as well for me." Natsuo said as he left.

"He's a sweet boy." Nejire's mother teased. "Too sweet. Have you two kissed?" She asked. "Be careful! Eric was the same sweet guy." Mochi warned as she went back to her cookies bowl. She always mixed while she held the bowl, never with an electric mixer or anything.

"Um... Mama... about Eric." Nejire sighed. It was a good time, now that it was at least brought up and at least a fresh topic. "Mama, I wanna meet him..."

Mochi dropped the cookie bowl, having it shatter. She was young and didn't have any arthritis or anything, so the fact that she dropped that. Not good.

"What?"

"I wanna meet him. I wanna hear what he has to say for himself." Nejire said.

"No." Mochi said. She said absolutely nothing else in that sentence. Just no.

"But he's got to have a reason! You don't just leave for years without a reason." Nejire debated with her mother, which was proving to be useless. "I want to meet him. So I can be angry and know why he left us."

"You don't need to meet him. He's got no purpose to us anymore." Mochi said, picking up her cookie mix and throwing it out. "They're fucking ruined."

Mochi just cursed...

"Mama, I know he left, but... I want him to explain. I want to at least have a relationship with him. Like a normal father and daughter would?" Nejire raised her eyebrow, praying her mom wouldn't get too upset or anything.

"You already have that! Or does Malachi not count anymore? He loves you, unlike Eric. He's been there for you!" Mochi screamed at Nejire, which finally got Malachi to come down.

"What the hell is going on?" The man asked. He stepped between the two women, just in case someone became violent. Never had happened before, but he wanted to make sure everyone was fine. "Mochi?"

"Nejire wants to see Eric." Mochi sighed. Malachi turned to Mochi and hugged her. "It's fine. It's ok. Let's sit down and talk this out, ok?"

"...ok."

✨✨✨✨✨

Dinner for Ryuko, Shinya, and Reiko was incredible.

That was sarcasm.

It was weird. Really awkward.

"Hey, Reiko, do you ever miss your mother?" Ryuko asked. Shinya looked at her and looked extremely confused and concerned for both of them.

"No, not really. She was kind of an asshole." Reiko shrugged, going back to her food. Shinya turned to her instead. "What? Im not gonna pretend I liked her or anything. She hated me too." Reiko hissed at her brother.

"Maman didn't hate you." Shinya cursed. "She was bigoted and shit, but she didn't hate us."

"She didn't hate you, but she did hate me." Reiko sighed. "But no Ryuko. I don't miss her. I actually love being here where I am respected and can live my life without being berated for everything and anything." Reiko sighed. "Are you gonna eat or can I have your food?" Reiko asked, looking at the untouched plate. There wasn't even a lot on it.

"Oh, it's fine. I'll eat in a bit. I'm not hungry." Ryuko sighed.

"Why'd you even ask me about our mom?" Reiko asked. She was curious now, because they had a whole tea party yesterday where they were bonding and now was the time she asked?

"My student, Momo Yaoyorozu, her mom has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and she was struggling to talk with people because they didn't understand, and I was wondering if you'd want to talk with her." Ryuko suggested.

"Sure I don't care."

"Great. I can invite her over tomorrow since I'll be here and all." Ryuko sighed.

"Oh... I'm working on a doll tomorrow."

"It's fine, then I'll wait until your free."

✨✨✨✨

Ok so.

Mochi is pissed.

Nejire is shocked because her mother hardly ever cursed, or at least never says the f word.

Reiko's mother is an awful person.

Momo is about to be greeted with a big slap in the face by Reiko.

No like deadass-
