Bread Dough

I just got a sinister idea and it's gonna make someone cry.

Ok but I kinda wanna make Camie a Hijabi? Idk why. I just really wanna make one of the characters a Hijabi and I feel like a 1-B girl would be the best option. Maybe Kinoko Komori?

✨✨✨✨✨

"Momo and I talked today. She was ok." Reiko said. "Did you know she was Asian?"

"Uh... yeah?" Both Ryuko and Shinya said, wondering how Reiko didn't realize Momo was Asian. "She's partially white but she's mostly Japanese." Ryuko said. "You know she's French, right? Did you two talk about that? Like bond?"

"Um..." Reiko thought about what she could talk about. Her friends were vaping, Momo was just trying to eat. "Sure."

"You know, you always come back and smell amazing. What kind of perfume do you use?" Ryuko asked.

"It's my soap, anyways, Ochako won't be going to class next week. She lost her finger to Toga." Reiko said, taking a bite from her food. "Where's Nejire?"

"She's upstairs. She and Natsuo are having one of those "we aren't dating yet, but we want to," talks." Ryuko mumbled, stabbing at her food with a fork. "She's also trying to work up the courage to go home, but she doesn't wanna seem dramatic or anything." Ryuko sighed, taking a nibble of food.

They were eating pizza, which Ryuko ate with a fork, like a weirdo. Shinya didn't mind, but Reiko just glared at her.

"You bite yogurt, now you eat pizza with a fork. You're weird." Reiko said, which made Ryuko chuckle a little. Shinya flicked her forehead. "Ow!" She screamed.

"Dad isn't here to scream at me, you cant fake cry anymore." Shinya teased. The sibling relationship they had made Ryuko laugh. "Did you do that kind of stuff?" Shinya asked. "I hope not."

"I did. I was the youngest out of eight, what did you expect me to do?" Ryuko laughed. Reiko gave him a satisfied look and gave Ryuko a high five.

"Oh my god. You two are awful." He snickered.

"Oh yeah, if you're the youngest out of eight, how did you start ballet?" Reiko asked. "The youngest usually doesn't get as much attention in big families, right?"

"It's a funny story. So my mom wanted me to stay feminine in a family of men, and she didn't wanna deal with me, so she signed me up for ballet since it takes around five hours sometimes." Ryuko giggled. "I didn't get home until midnight sometimes, it's really weird."

"Wait for real?"

"Yeah. I was always starving you know? It sucked, but I liked it enough. Especially a week before the bigger shows. You should get into it. It's never too late to start. I mean unless you're like fifty, but even then-" Ryuko laughed. "You don't have to be naturally flexible."

"No thanks. Y'all have strict eating policies and all that, not for me."

"Uh... yeah... I guess we do." Ryuko said, looking at her pizza. "I forgot, my boss told me I should cut carbs! Shit." Ryuko grumbled. "Whats carb free?" Ryuko asked, getting up to look through their pantry.

"Finish your fork pizza!" Reiko said from the dinner table. "Carbs are important, you'll probably wind up in the hospital if you don't eat them."

"Oh for real?"

"Did you fail chemistry? Even biology?"

"I passed Biology, I didn't pay any attention in chemistry, nor did I care. Like why would I when I was just gonna be a dancer. Maybe I should've but, I basically was told that I could only be a dancer since I was like ten, so I just did." She said as she bit into a random bell pepper.

Reiko let out a loud scream.

"Shinya she bit into a bell pepper like it was an apple. What the hell?!" Reiko screeched.

"Y'all good?" Nejire asked from upstairs. She and Natsuo were still talking. "I heard a scream!"

"Ryuko eats bell peppers and pizza weird!" Reiko screamed up for her to hear. Nejire ran down the stairs and looked at them with a look of horror on her face.

"Buddy you're weird. Weird." Nejire stared in pure disgust.

"She ate her pizza with a fork as well."

"Oh my god-"

✨✨✨✨✨

Yeah so, Nejire wasn't speaking with Natsuo. She was talking to Tamaki. She just kinda said it was Natsuo so they wouldnt question it too much.

"So like, are you going to any proms?"

"Nah, I'm homeschooled. And they aren't my thing." Tamaki laughed. "You trying to be prom queen?"

"Nah, not my thing either. Yuyu signed me up and started putting my posters around school but I don't really care for all that." Nejire laughed back. "I find that stuff weirder than my sister eating bell peppers like apples."

"Oh you have a sister."

"Yeah, Ryuko? You know, your aunt." Nejire said playfully as she rolled over on the bed. "So that makes us cousins, right?" She snickered. "Just joking with you, she's not my sister."

Yeah and they wouldn't be cousins either way. Tamaki wasn't related to that family in any way.

"Why do you call people your family?" Tamaki asked. It was weird. He was doing it for... well... survival? Right? Right. She did it for a whole other reason.

"Well, most of my family isn't blood related, so why keep family bound by blood and blood only. Like chosen families? I choose my mom, dad, and then a bunch of people I love to death and think of as my family." Nejire shrugged. She didn't mind sharing it. It was probably something people didn't understand. She called a lot of people her brothers, sisters, and siblings. "Well, I don't call Mirio my brother or anything because I used to have a teensy crush on him, so I think it's weird." She giggled. "I don't call Yuyu my sister because I... I just never felt right doing it I guess."

"Oh, that makes sense." Tamaki said. It was a very long explanation but he assumed it was that important to her.

"Do you do that?"

"Uh... no. Sorry." Tamaki sighed, crawling himself in bed.

"Oooh wait! I have a really crazy story to tell you!" Nejire gasped. Tamaki sighed and wrapped himself in his comforter. "So my friend Ochako, she works with the Suns organization, so she got into a fight with one of these vampires last night! And it was that serial killer chick, Himiko Toga." Nejire exaggerated her tone to make it seem much cooler than it really was. "Yeah she lost a finger."

"Oh yeah, she ate my neighbors cat." Tamaki said. "She was naked and ate Blanca in front of me. I didn't see your friend though." Tamaki sighed. He wasn't too shocked or anything, she was a vampire after all.

"You were there? Oh wow! And you're like... fine?" Nejire asked over the phone.

"Yeah I'm fine. They're also replacing the wooden playground in our neighborhood with a metal one. Whys that?"

"Fae. They can't touch metal or anything. They steal stuff I guess." Nejire snickered. "But yeah, it's weird that they're going so far to get rid of the not murderous monsters, ya know?"

The word monster kinda hurt. Like, yeah, sure he craved blood all the damn time and would bite his fingers, even the skin just to not kill someone. Though he did that ever since he was young. But like, he didn't hurt anybody. A lot of people didn't try to, but they broke down to their urges. He assumed that's what happened with Himiko.

"Hey Nejire, I gotta go! We're about to go to our neighbors house." He said. He didn't wanna be on the phone anymore. That comment just... made him uncomfortable.

✨✨✨✨✨

(I could literally end the chapter rn- lmao)

"You know your prom is literally tomorrow, right? You should go back home." Ryuko said. "Your mom needs pictures, remember?"

"Yeah and I need an apology."

"She probably has one and is just waiting for you to go home and hear it." Ryuko suggested, nudging Nejire's shoulder.

"Maybe,"

"So, how about, you go home tonight, and if there's still tension, you come back?" Ryuko suggested again. "I love having you here, like, ma'm the other two are buzzkills a lot of the time-" Ryuko snickered to herself before continuing, "but I'm concerned about your mother." Ryuko said, sitting down on the bed.

"Why?"

"Your mom isn't really... happy about ya know... the only person there while she was giving birth being her older brother and her parents?" Ryuko sighed. "I mean, I wouldn't be either. If Shinya wasn't there when I gave birth, I'd hear him out, but if it wasn't for a good reason, I'd probably ya know... leave... or be really pissed off?" Ryuko lightly laughed. "That's just painful."

"I wasn't the nicest while talking about him, so that was probably a massive whiplash. But, am I supposed to feel sorry after she said that I was never wanted? Like, I know I'm a mistake. But she told me that, as if I wanted to know." Nejire mumbled, falling into the mattress.

"Well, of course that was wrong. Even if it may have been the truth, that was out of line. So no, you don't have to feel sorry. I just recommend that you remember that your mother is only five years older than me. She's gonna fuck up sometimes, but she absolutely needs to apologize for those fuckups." Ryuko said. Out of everyone, Ryuko had the best advice from anyone she had talked to. She actually knew what she was going through to some level.

"Alright, then I'll go and see them tonight." Nejire sighed, sitting up, ready to go to school. "Um... thanks."

"It's no problem. I don't mind giving you advice. That's my job idiot." Ryuko snickered and patted her back. "Go to school dummy. I'll see you later."

✨✨✨✨✨

"I can't believe you actually went to meet him!" Kaoruko gasped. "Tsu is gonna be so shocked! We explained the whole story to her. I cant wait for her shift!" She rambled before messing with Mochi's hair.

"Well, Nejire isn't talking with me right now. I'm kinda anxious, feel like I've gone overboard with the whole arranging Eric to meet with her on Saturday." Mochi sighed, beating the dough she was using for Conchas. "He was an asshole the entire time! He kept slipping in little micro aggressions because Malachi was black!" She huffed and threw the dough onto the table.

"What're you making Mrs.Hadou?" Izuku asked as he walked in. He was new as well. He pulled his apron off of the hanger.

"Concha. Should I make Sticky Rice for Nejire? Like as an apology?"

"Oh, well that's a cute little apology, yeah! Especially if she likes it!" Izuku grinned. "How's Malachi? Is he here?" Izuku asked.

"Malachi is in the back. Mirai is there too." Mochi sighed and looked at the bread dough. "I don't wanna make conchas anymore. Can I just throw this damn thing in a fire and see what it makes?" She asked. "I'm gonna make the sticky rice. Izuku can you make something with this dough? I don't care what it is?"

"Oh uh... sure? Can I make something for my mom?" Izuku asked.

"Knock yourself out." She sighed and just ran a hand through her dark blue hair. "I think I'm gonna take a nap after closing."

"What do you even do after closing?" Izuku asked. Then it dawned on Mochi.

"Wait, why aren't you in class?" Mochi asked. "Or getting to class? Give me that bread!" Mochi whispered in a rushed tone.

"Um... I don't really wanna go? Plus my mom can't really drive me... we don't have a car, so I just walk here. I usually ride the bus but I didn't wake up on time so now I'm here, and sorry, I really should be in school right now." Izuku rambled.

"Dumbass. I'm taking you, let's go." She huffed and threw the bread dough to Kaoruko, who put it in plastic wrap. "Your mother has my contact info, I'm telling her. And I'm buying you a damn bike." She sighed, dragging him by the arm.

"Oh you don't have to, I can just skip and get in my hours today!"

"Nope. Not happening. Anyways, should I get a bike? Like a motorbike?" Mochi asked. Izuku sat in the backseat of her Honda and just looked at her music choices in front him. She had Fall Out Boy, Boys World, a few Korean bands, a band called Nomu? Which was weird, especially because he had definitely seen them around before, but couldn't remember where.

"Whos Nomu?"

"A band? Punk rock? Main singer is probably your friend's brother? Touya Todoroki? My daughter met him and forgot that I liked him. So I was a bit disappointed." She snickered as they sat in traffic. "She's adorable. I'm still trying my best to apologize to her, and I really hope it means something to her." She sighed. "But yeah, they're good. Most of the songs are dedicated to his family. Especially his wife, daughter, and son. They're all really sweet songs. He made one named Genesis because it was the name they gave their daughter. Like Katie Perry and Daisies? Basically that, ya know? Oh sorry, I've really been rambling!"

"It's fine, I do the same thing! It's really weird. I always get made fun of for it." He laughed. "Oh hey, it's Tsu!" Izuku gasped. "She usually walks with Ochako but she got into a little accident so she's in the hospital." Izuku smiled.

"She's a sweet girl. She started working just to be nice to her uncle, you know? Don't tell anyone but you two are kinda my favorites." Mochi whispered before dropping off Izuku. "Have a good day, I'll tell your mother I dropped you off."

"Thanks! I hope things with Nejire go well!"

✨✨✨✨✨

Izuku has been introduced and will be very important to the end of the story. Had to introduce him.

And yes, Ryuko eats food extremely weirdly.

Extremely weird.

I do this on purpose

Anyways,

Two chapters before shit gets way crazier.

Oh and as you know, Mochi has a brother now!
