Keith stood at Lances door as it was open for him to see the paladin laying in bed with his back to them, he hasn't said anything for two hours since he's got out of the pod. Everyone stood in the hall as Keith didn't know whether to leave him or not.

Lance wasn't sleeping though, no one knew that as he just was breathing with his blanket pulled up to his nose. He was staring at the blank wall with his sightless eyes as he couldn't cry anymore, he knew they where watching. Lance wanted to hate them for that advantage they all use without knowing, but he guessed he did that too until two hours ago. He couldn't hate them because it wasn't their fault.

He felt someone sit on the bed with him but their where heavier than Keith so he knew it couldn't be him.

"H-hunk?" Lance rasped turning his head.

"Nope,"

"Shiro," he whispered closing his eyes.

"You hear to tell me your sorry too?" Lance sniffled sitting up as he ran a hand through his hair to move it out of his face but his hand lingered in his hair for a moment. Touching his hair felt different, how was he going to make sure it didn't look ridiculous or start curling again.

"Of course I'm sorry for what happened lance, I'm not going to lie, but for what it's worth, I know the feeling of something so valuable to you being taken away," Shiro closer his robotic hand and lance could hear it moving mechanically.

"I always knew ill die but one day I found out I was sick, I thought death was coming a lot sooner than anyone would thought, I was healthy, smart, did everything right to keep living, but when I found out, I didn't let it stop me... and when I lost my arm..." Shiro let out a sigh and lance looked down sadly.

"I'm sorry," Lance whispered.

"It's okay lance, my point is, there are things we don't expect and they just happen, but it's not always going to be hell, use it to your advantage," he smiled gently at the blind paladin.

"No offense Shiro but not being able to see is kinda different than having a robotic arm, you can still fight... I'm just useless now... I can't shoot when I can't see the target," lance pulled the blankets off as he was getting antsy than just being there covered.

"I get that, you need some time, we're staying on the planet Rotazik, you will be able to adjust there hopefully," Shiro sighed standing up.

"Shiro?"

"Yea Lance?"

"Do you think I'll be able to see again at all? And don't... don't lie to make me feel better," Lance held his hands tightly as he closed his sightless eyes.

"If I'm being honest, no, I'm sorry for that lance, but your still one of us," Shiro offered a soft smile but lance didn't even try to smile.

He left the room silently as lance put his face in his hands shaking his head.

"I said don't lie," he whispered. He wasn't going to be treated the same, they'll replace him soon enough.

The next day lance finally left his room but he touched the cold walls to navigate himself through the halls as he tried to remember every left and right he had to make to find everyone, how many footsteps it takes, if he could even hear someone.

"Hello?" His hand slipped when it became a door way instead.

"Guys?" Lance called softly as he walked into the room still touching the wall. His stomach growled in hunger and he swallowed a lump in his throat as he was thirsty for water as well.

Lance walked along the wall until he found the cabinets with dishes and such. He opened the cabinet and felt around for a cup and gripped the metal cup finally and smirked victoriously.

He turned on the sink and put the cup under but hissed when the water was to hot as he dropped the cup on the ground pulling away.

"Fuck!" Lance cried out and tried to find a towel or anything but he couldn't feel anything.

"God dammit!" He yelled in frustration as if he could see he'd be able to find something. Lance heard small squeaks and finally felt something soft nuzzle against his hand. The mice.

"Anyone wanna help?" He asked gently touching the top of the little mouse head, he guessed it was the larger one. The mice ran off as lance waited for a moment but heard their little pitter patter of their paws as the four dragged over a hand towel for the water he spilt.

"Thanks guys," he sighed in relief grabbing the towel and knelt to the floor, feeling around for the wet puddle of water he made and his hand splashed against it a little. He sighed again disappointed and set the towel over it as he patted the towel down to soak it up.

"You guys know where everyone is? I don't know what time it is really..." lance sat on the floor frowning and the mice ran up his leg and sat on his knee.

"Who needs a seeing eye dog when I have chatty mice," lance mumbled standing up as he scooped the mice in his hand. He felt along the wall again as the mice squeaked louder when they tugged his thumb left to tell him to turn left.

They continued the tugging of lances thumb but as lance got closer he could hear the Paladins talking in the control room. Without him?

Lance quieted the mice as he hoped they didn't see him yet, pressing his back against the wall he listened in on the conversation.

"Alliance with the galra? It's not worth it if they betray us," Pidge scoffed loudly.

"Prince Lotor assures that he is willing to do... a lot to stop this war, but it'll be hard to show that if we're constantly fighting against the galra," Shiro explained to them.

"Shiros right, Voltron is a sign of hope of the war ending, this is an opportunity we must take, if zarkon is dying then Prince Lotor will be the next emperor to his birth rights, before that happens we can use the galras new ruler to end it all," Allura cut in as lance can sense the hesitance of everyone.

"I don't trust this, it seems to easy," hunk sighed.

"I agree with hunk," coran stepped in. "Princess the galra aren't exactly trust worthy,"

"They don't just stop violence, especially if that's all they've known for thousands of years," Pidge agreed.

"We invite Lotor to join us tonight on Rotazik, a dinner to hear him out, but we will be prepared for any betrayal, the lions will be out for the Rota's to see as we have a ceremony of those that died, and those who sacrificed..." Allura sighed.

"We need to figure out a way to help lance," hunk gulped. "Anything,"

"I know, but it's going to take time to focus on a device to help him but also help the universe, it may have to wait..." Allura trailed off and lance felt hurt spike him.

"Lance can't wait, the universe is going to have to wait if they want all Paladins back!" Pidge raised her voice.

"If you won't do anything then I will," she growled.

"You won't be able to access Altean advance technology, we'd have to work together Pidge but the castle needs work as well as long as we're on the ground, since the last battle the particle barrier is weakened," coran told her gently.

"Keith why aren't you saying anything?" Shiro asked and lance listened more for what he had to say as well.

"I'm going to go train," Keith finally spoke.

"Lotor is on his way already, he's in range for me to see his ships," Allura nodded and lance walked away.

This was a big deal to discuss, and they didn't even ask his opinion, at least for his own eyes he didn't get a say.

"They said we're on the ground, I need air," Lance shook his head closing his eyes as the mice lead him to leave the castle seeing he was clearly upset.

It took a few minutes for them to reach it but the mice guided lances hand down to the panel to scan his hand to let him outside. Lance felt a small breeze and the smell of dirt surrounding him.

Lance let the mice down as he just wanted to be alone for a little bit, free from trapped walls, maybe a walk would do him some good.
