The world could be a paradise,
a calm and peaceful place,
where everyone just lived their life
as members of a common race,
but there are those,
consumed by spite,
ambitious in their pride,
who let us know through acts of hate
that there are angry men outside.

We try our best to keep them out,
just scratching at our door,
but those mad souls
have lost their way,
and think that we're at war.
All we can do is not forget
the innocents who died,
and live our lives remembering
there are angry men outside.

We must not lose the faith we hold
in our fellow men,
because a few are broken shells
that we can never mend.
We'll take their pointless fury
and delusions in our stride,
and not lash out
or scream and shout,
and feel hate justified,
because we know
that hatred grows,
and there are angry men outside.
