Episode 23: Encampment in Sinai
"Move the troop's to the left Barrack's of the Street." The sound's of multiple Commander's ordering their Companies around was irritating at best, but who could blame them.
Thing's for the Grand Army had been going good for them lately, but the Sickness was still killing them even on their way to this place.
Though, his Sickness was worse compared to everyone else, the other's were not in his condition as quick, the Sickness that had been following them was killing them slowly, his was rapidly.
Frame, had remained secluded since their arrival in the city of Arish, they had taken the city with little resistance, but that was a concern more than anything. The more little the resistance, the more chance their Enemies were ahead of them in regrouping together.
Yet, as of now he couldn't stay secluded for ever....especially with this 'official' Researcher who had followed them from the start, but none the less he was a help....especially now, his army was dehydrated, but this man could get him the water he needed, along with the Relic's and Artifact's he came to get by joining them, along with Treasure's along the way.
His own Expedition along one of the Greatest War's in history, this man was clearly crazy....well, so was Frame in some extent.
"Can we get the purifier's into place my friend?" Frame asked as he finished reading the note he had gotten from the Researcher, known as Paul Venn.
"If, we'd have another day, Aye and this will benefit both of us, you're men get the water they need I get the treasure's underneath to supply us with the money." Paul spoke as he looked at the map's along the Middle east and Sinai, but he was mostly looking at the Suez Canal.
"I Understand my friend, but I need you and you're colleagues for more than that, I need them to spread more idea's around the world, and to also gain more public opinion to us." As Frame spoke a lone waiter so to speak had brought him and the other man a tray of cup's with coffee in the main one, but when he heard the sound of a horse he looked out the balcony to see Brandon approaching their building.
"Though I want you and everyone to remind those what this expedition, and time has given us....this Artifact's are to give, not to take, Understand?" Frame pointed his finger at Paul to be reassuring of himself, but looked away slightly when Brandon entered and put a piece of paper down on the table.
"This will be our way of Thanking you for this incredible Journey, General." Paul nodded and bended slowly as a firm way of thanking the man, just and before he left to carry out the last request, the General asked he and his men to do.
"The English ask my men to desert, by flooding with this dribble." Frame spoke as he walked over to Brandon who was sitting at the table at the balcony, but when he stopped at the end of his sentence he crumpled the paper together and threw it out the balcony.
"It Will have no affect on them!" Frame spitted out as he took one of the cup's quickly and swiftly.
"I am not so sure, the men are beginning to have enough." Brandon spoke in concern, but it didn't even take Frame to be a dunce or to be smart to even know that....he had seen it from their face's since the Sickness had continued to follow them.
"Have the Officer's discipline them again, or bring some kind of hope to them." Frame looked at the many officer's down stair's, either very hot or some sick.
"Some of the Officer's say you push them at time's, but they will follow you no matter what, though the discouraging thought's of us not taking Cairo and Spain is....worrying." Brandon spoke again before grabbing the other cup on the plate, drinking the content's inside it.
"I Already have, however Brandon....Nathan and his idiot Allies cannot hope to best us." Frame stated proudly as he looked out the balcony again.
"Yet, Turk's, Arab's, Syrian's, and everyone else allied with the English are against us, face it Frame we can't go on....not with the Sickness and Disease following us." Brandon sighed as he drinked from his cup again, worried still.
"The Doctor's assured me they could contain these thing's." Frame held himself on the balconies' edge, worry was on his face as he was thinking on what to do.
"Doctor's can do nothing, for fear." Brandon said in desperation, but hoped that would knock some sense into his very sick Friend.
"No.....but I can." Frame stated proudly and true as he rushed off to the stair's, but as for Brandon he only sighed heavily before getting up and following him.

As they walked, Frame noticed the many people scattered around the street's most clinging or eating, sleeping, or drinking on the floor of the Street's these people were allowing the Soldier's to sleep in the Building's....most of them anyway.
What he did notice was that the Children were following them, at least until they approached a hallway which the entrance was being guarded, but before the Guard's could react, Frame put his hand on one of their Gun's and patted his shoulder.
After they had managed to make it outside of the City itself, Frame was met by the smell and sight of smoke, and the terrifying Scream's of many injured Soldier's, and those who were Sick.
As he approached the many different Medical Tent's lined together, he noticed many men were being bandaged, and were trying to be treated, but it was until he laid eye's on a man who's neck was bulging.
"P-Please, Sir I can't go on....any longer.." The man clutched out to the other man's arm, weakly like as his breathing was slow, and dire.
"What is you're name?" Frame asked silently as he stared at the young man, but then at the lump in his neck, it seemed to be building as well.
"G-Geoff.....Sir." The Young man spoke silently as well as he struggled to speak, but not even Frame had to know that this man was in the deepest pain ever.
"Brandon...." Frame looked over at his friend, though when he spoke the other man came to his side and noticed the young man's lump....horrified at best.
"Help me get him up.....or find someone who knows him." Frame said as he looked at both Brandon, and then the young man who seemed to be confused.
Yet, Brandon did what he could and helped the young man into Frame's arm's, who then approached the large group of soldier's who were watching them, but then began to turn away.
"The First one to walk away will be considered a Traitor, and will be shot!" Frame shouted at the men as he held Geoff in his arm's, but when he did the men stopped and turned to look at him.
"Do any of you know this man?" Frame looked at each other them as he spoke, but only one man seemed to be affected by seeing Geoff.
"I Believe, he is Geoff if I'm not mistaken." The oldest man in the group who looked to be In his forties spoke up, as he could barley bring himself to see the young man before him.
"Do you know him?" Frame asked again as the Young man stirred in his Arm's, but they all knew he was still in pain.
"Actually, we come from the same town, but as of knowing him....only by name and appearance." The Older man spoke truthfully as he held his gun to support him, but he still couldn't look at Geoff who seemed to be looking at him now.
"Then....Tell him about the town....let him die with some happiness." As Frame spoke he handed the young man to the older man and the rest of the other men, who told him stories and reminder's of their home's, their families and everything else they cherished.
Until he died....

Before long, Frame found himself back in his office in the city of Arish....though after what happened earlier, many of the men's spirit came back, yet only slightly.
The Constant chatter of the men moving, preparing themselve's, or just talking in general. Everything was in place, since they had arrived in Arish this place was almost like Cairo, but not as large as they would like.
Though, now he had to decide on what to do, his men were itching for a fight now and Nathan and his troop's were hour's or a day ahead of them, then it hit him.....yes, that would do fine indeed.
"Come, Look you four." Frame stated as he directed the other's to the table in his office, the large table contained map's as always, but when they approached it, he, Brandon, Malcom, Neon, and Presley, all sat around it looking at it intently.
"Ibrahim, and his force's still intend on meeting, they are only a hour ahead of us right now, but within two day's time they will reach Cairo, where we believe they will make their stand." Brandon spoke as he traced his finger along the road's that Ibrahim would take, just to get to Cairo and to try and avoid them.
"Hm, Then I say we just deal with Ibrahim once and for all." Malcom stated as he slammed his hand on the table, before crossing his arm's and leaning back.
"Always so eager to fight aren't you? We will attack Ibrahim, but I intend for him to be taken this time....no exception's....I want him as a prisoner, or a corpse, do I make myself clear?" Frame leaned forward as he spoke, but he knew they all understood him, they didn't blame anyone for Ibrahim escaping, but....many people always needed a answer.
"And what of Marshal, Mills? She isn't among us here today." Presley added in to their conversation as they looked the map before them.
"Marshal, Mill's has not reported in at all today....most of the men haven't seen her either." Neon said next as he took the cigarette out of his mouth and tossed it over into the corner.
"I Could care less.....for now, Ibrahim is the main goal.....and then, well the battle of our age is about to come, Gentlemen." Frame spoke next as he stared at the many road's on the map before them, but he traced his finger along several that linked to Arish.
"Indeed.....yet, We must do it swiftly....if we are to be able to catch them between their leg's, but we need to be careful of our own troop's if we plan on fighting him, we will need all our strength for this 'Battle of the Age's' so you say." Brandon stated the fact as he slowly crossed his arm's over his chest, the very truth of his word's were etching into each of their mind's.
"Yet.....prepare the troop's for battle, I want them ready no matter what, and I except the highest of all respect and loyalty between our rank's here, we can't risk everyone going at each other's throat's, right now....not now." Frame looked at everyone as they silently agreed, but only nodded their head's as they slowly began to rise.
There was much to do they knew......and by god they wouldn't be late for their little 'Appointment' with General Nathan.
*****
No-one was prepared for this sudden move, neither the Grand Army....or the English and their Allie's, Frame's move was sudden, and drastic as he moved his entire Army and marched to Cairo, where he would intercept Ibrahim and his force's along one of the main road's
All the English troop's could hope for now if they were engaged, was if God was by their side in this conflict.....they could only hope at this point. Though if Ibrahim and his combined Armies' were defeated, then Nathan would have no choice, but to retreat to the coast and return home
Pray to God indeed, the English hoped anyway.
