Zaid's pov.

"All the best, go and speak to mom with all the courage you have" Saad said to which I glared.

Like seriously, I am not going for an exam.

I knocked on the room door and once she opened I said, "I want to talk to you mom, It's important"

"Sure, come in"

We walked towards the sofa and sat on it.

"Mama, I am sure this will make you angry but I have to tell you this. Mama, I love Nuska and I don't think I can live my life without her. After you, she is my world. She means a lot to me. Mom, you wouldn't believe but she is the only one I keep thinking of these days. Mom, you always wanted me to get married and now I am. She is the best daughter- in- law you could ever have. Please accept her." I explained my feelings to her.

"Zaid, what about Zara?" She asked.

"Mom, I never liked her and will never like her. The feelings I have for Nuska is special and I only feel this towards her and never in my life did I feel like this when I saw any other girl"

"But Zaid, I have already given my word that you would marry Zara" She argued.

"Mom, tell me, Is your word more important than my happiness"

"Obviously, your happiness is important."

"Then what? Please accept Nuska. Mom, she loves me too."

"Mom please" I pleaded.

"Sumaiya I think Zaid deserves her so let them live happily. I accepted her as my daughter-in-law. Why can't you?" Dad said coming closer to us.

(A/N: Sumaiya is Zaid's mom)

"But Hassan, I have given my word to Zara and her family"

"Do you think that word is more important than our son's life"

"I am sorry Zaid but I can't accept Nuska" Mom said breaking my heart.

"Mom please I love her and I can't live without her. It's paining to move on without her" I said and by this time I had tears in my eyes.

"Zaid, try to understand"

"Mom, why can't you understand my feelings" I begged.

"I don't have anything over Nuska. I like her but What will I tell Zara now" she said after wiping off my tears.

"I will talk to Zara and I'll make her understand that we aren't meant for each other"

"Mom please. I am sure you will love Nuska. Just spend a day with her and you will definitely love her" I added.

"Zaid, I don't want to see you unhappy  and you are more important than my words to Zara. Therefore I am accepting Nuska as my daughter-in-law. Happy?" She said smiling, after few minutes of thinking.

"Really?" I questioned.

"Yes"

"Thank you mom, love you" I said and kissed her cheeks.

"No problem dear. Love you too" she said and kissed my forehead.

"Yippee Nuska is my Bhabi finally" Zainab screamed entering the room.

"Were you eavesdropping, Zainab?" Mom asked to which she gave a sheepish smile.

"Come bhai, lets go and celebrate" Zainab pulled me out of the room.

Finally, Mom agreed.
I have to talk to Nuska, I don't know what her parents told about this.

With that thought, I joined Saad bhai, Khadeeja Bhabi, Zainab and Alishba for the small Ice-Cream party.

Sumaiya's pov. (Zaid's mom)

Zaid, your happiness is important to me so I accepted Nuska as my daughter-in-law.

I am pretty sure Nuska is an amazing person because if not I am sure you wouldn't have fallen in love with her.

Nuska, you are my daughter now.
I only hope that you will keep my son happy forever.

Nuska's pov.

"Bhai please,  why can't you understand?" I cried.

"Nuska, he isn't perfect for you. I promise to find someone better than him" He said annoyed.

"Bhai, dad and mom agreed to accept Zaid. Why are you being stubborn?" I questioned back annoyed.

"I am not stubborn Nuska. I am telling this for your own good. He isn't good for you"

"Okay fine. I am not getting married to anyone. Happy now?" I said controlling my anger.

"Nuska, for the sake of Allah, why can't you understand what I am saying" He shouted.

"For the sake of Allah, why can't you understand what I am saying" I shouted back.

"Nuska, your kidnappers might harm you if you get married to Zaid"

"Bhai even if I don't live with Zaid, they are going to harm me. So what's the big difference? All I want is to be with Zaid because I love him. Bhai, he promised me that he will always be with me no matter what happens"

"Abdullah, stop being stubborn. Zaid's family has no problem and even we don't have any problem. You are the only one who is fussing" Dad scolded.

"Dad, I am telling this for her own good"

"But she wants to live with him. Both of them love each other so what do we get in separating them" Dad reasoned.

"Whatever, I will agree to this but I am not happy with this" He said and walked out of the room.

Brothers!! 😠

"It's okay Nuska, with time he will be happy with this" Dad said and kissed my forehead.

"Nuska, Call Zaid because I want to talk to his mom and invite them for lunch tomorrow so that we could discuss about the waleema" Mom said after which I called Zaid.

After an hour of talking, mom finally ended the call and smiled at me.

"What?" I asked her.

"Nothing. Listen Nuska you have to help me to cook tomorrow because we are cooking for your husband and in-laws" Mom said to which I sighed and replied with an okay.

Cooking!!
I hate cooking.
Phew, I have to do it anyways.

With a lot of happiness bubbling inside me I went to my room to have a peaceful sleep.

Zara's pov.

Zaid
Zaid
Zaid.

He is the only one I keep thinking of but he got married to someone else and is thinking of her.

Nuska, I hate you.

How dare she get married to My Zaid?
How?

And now Zaid wants me to forget him and get married to someone else because we aren't meant for each other.

Nonsense, Zaid and I are made for each other and no one can change that.

I will not allow Nuska to take My Zaid away from me.

I love Zaid.
I loved him all these years.
How do you expect me to let him go?
Nope, I wont.

He came early morning to tell me some stupid words as , 'Zara we aren't meant for each other so try to understand and don't make a fuss.'

I will not accept it.
I will not let you live happily with Nuska.

I will do anything to get him back so wait and watch.

Nuska, you are my greatest enemy now.

First of all, Thank you everyone for giving my book a chance because without all of you "Connected Hearts" wouldn't have reached 16k reads this fast. I didn't even expect my book will reach 10k but now it has reached 16k, it definitely is something special for me. Thank you for your support.

Besides all these, today I have written 30th chapter of "Connected Hearts". Honestly I didn't even think I'll come this far because when I first started the book, I was blank most of the time and I didn't know what to write next and there were many times when I wanted to delete the book too.
