Sana unknowingly pulled Sidharth's arm, hugged it and snuggled cozily closer to him while he was spooning her from behind. She opened her eyes when she realised it can't be Agastya. She remembered how she herself had slept on his side. This time she didn't push him away.
She slowly lifted his hand and came out of his embrace. She sat on the edge of the bed and looked at his sleeping face. There was a subtle smile on his face. His face glowed and he looked divinely handsome.
Her eyes fell on long strand of hair which was stuck in his stubble.
Oh Gosh! That's mine. I should remove it before he gets up. What would he think if he notices it?
She leaned further and delicately held a loose end of the strand. She pulled it subtly and with the sensation his smile grew bigger. She bit her tongue and flapped her eyelashes to close her eyes with the fear of getting caught. She then slowly opened her one eyes to check his reaction. He was still sleeping. She sighed and resumed to pull it more delicately.
While the other end was about to make its way out of his stubble, he sat up straight with his eyes closed and hands folded. While he said his prayers she minutely searched for the strand of hair which wasn't visible to her now. When he opened his eye and looked into his palm, the strand of hair was in his hand. She looked at it and gave him a nervous smile.
"Good Morning Senorita. Did you sleep well?", He asked with a smile without embarrassing her.
"Good morning.. Aaa.. Yes! Yes! I did, though I co-slept with Manvi last night, she didn't trouble me even a bit.", She lies not knowing that he already knew that she actually slept on his chest last night.
"Hmmm, yeah, I told you that she absolutely would have no problem sleeping here. Even I could sleep comfortably with no disturbance. So from now on, you two should start sleeping here itself.", he looked at Manvi who was sleeping on her tummy. He delicately caressed her head and kissed his hand.
Sana nodded to agree as she had a good sleep herself last night but she thought to herself that she will be careful to not end up sleeping near him again.
"Should I help you to get to the bathroom and freshen up?" She asked.
"Don't worry Sana. I will manage. You saw me out of bed so many times yesterday and I know I am just doing fine. I need little movement as well. You can finish your chores until she gets up.", He said.
"Hmm.. The consignment of our other luggages is due for arrival today. I should finish my chores quickly and then I need to bake a cake for you. Happy birthday once again Sidharth", she said with a smile.
"Can I get a proper birthday hug?", He requested like a little baby. She was surprised on his demand. Nevertheless she thought, she had hugged him in sleep so she decided to give him the hug he asked for.
"Happy birthday Sidharth", she said hugging him. He smiled and hugged her back making sure he doesn't make her feel uncomfortable. It was a short and quick hug.
"Thank you. I needed it. Motivates me to fight the physical pain I get due to the surgery.", He said looking at her.
Soon she was lost in her thoughts:
After hearing his words, I realised that though he isn't making it evident, he was going through post surgery aches and trauma. Life wasn't easy for him as well. Though I am helping him like a nurse, I couldn't give him that care and warmth which an actual wife would give. What if it was Agastya in his place? How different the treatment would have been?
It's true that when we fall sick, more than a medicine we seek our loved one's care, love and attention. These things help a person to recover soon rather than the medicine. I need to care for him just like his family so that he recovers soon.
She looked at him with her moist eyes. With those thoughts and blurry vision, she imagined Agastya in him. She hugged him to herself again without announcing. His face was pressed to her chest and for the first time he could hear her heartbeat. He was surprised as he didn't expect it coming but at the same time he was extremely elated as it was a long healing and soothing embrace. He hugged her by her waist. She kissed the top of his head and released her hold.
"You will be fine soon", she said wiping her tears.
"Sana, I want to use my second wish.", He said looking at her.
"Tell me Sidharth. I will fulfill it without denial.", She said.
"A date with you tonight.", He said.
She was shocked as she didn't expect it.
"You said you won't deny", he reminded her
"Huh? I.. I.. I am not but you ain't well Sidharth. We can't go out neither are you allowed to eat unhealthy. Infact the cake I am going to bake would be a healthier version than the normal one.", She fumbled upon reasons initially but quickly covered up.
"I am not asking to go out anywhere or eat junk Senorita. I am just asking for a date within the mansion. It's been few days that I am observing you. You are tensed, running around managing things alone without taking proper care of yourself. All I want you to do is have a long soaking warm bath in the tub; put on your best dress; wear the most expensive jewellery you possess, that's your smile and spend an evening with me with no tensions. I will listen to you to whatever you want to say, or will watch a movie together of your choice. I checked online yesterday, there is a little restaurant in the market area, I'll order your favourite food and you can eat it and I'll have my healthy food." He said.
"Another wish that's all about my happiness. You didn't ask anything for yourself again, Sidharth.", She said in surprise.
"I told you, you are happiness brightens up the mood of the whole house, Senorita. Besides, even I need a break from this bed for sometime. My back hurts and sweats a lot due to sleeping whole time.", He said with a smile.
"Granted!", She said.
"Okay, Date at 8:00pm on the terrace of the Mansion. Be ready! I'll pick you up from the room and take you to the terrace.", He laughed with a wink.
She nodded her head and smiled.
"Thank you Sidharth", she said.

The movers and packers picked up the packages one by one from the transport vehicle and kept it in the hall. They unwrapped furnitures and fixtures, assembled and placed it wherever Sana instructed.
"Wait a minute. No need to unwrap this one, that one and this one as well. Manju, can you show them my room so that they can keep it in my room?", She said.
Manju nodded her head and escorted them inside.
"This one will go in kitchen. Be careful, it's fragile", she said.
After about an hour, the movers and packers were done with their work.
"Ma'am, could you cross check all the things and sign the register to vouch the delivery please?", The professional asked.
She nodded her head and took out her list to check for the items. She went to the kitchen, hall and utility areas ticking the list. She went upstairs to the room to check for the 3 boxes however it wasn't there.
"Manju... Manju..", she called.
"Yes Ma'am?", Manju went rushing to her.
"Where are 3 big carton boxes which I had asked to be kept here?", Sana asked.
"Ma'am you said your room, so I showed them downstair room.", Manju said.
"Why there? I said my room that's this room.", Sana asked frustrated.
"Ma'am, you slept downstairs yesterday and then you shifted your belongings this morning so I thought...", Manju said.
"So you could have asked me. I would have confirmed.", She ran downstairs to Sidharth's room.
"Sidharth, what are you doing?", She said loudly in a panicked tone having found Sidharth unpacking one of the box.
"Ssshhh, Manvi just slept after playing for a long time. I am just unpacking my stuff. I can wear this on our date tonight.", He said taking out a blazer jacket out of the box.
"Noo.. that's not your box", she said pulling the jacket off his hand and pushing it into the box.
"Huh?, But that's male blazer and also of my size.", He said.
"Aaa... Aaa... Why are you out of bed? If you want to go on the date tonight, I don't want to see you out of the bed until then. You can't be stressing yourself too much whole day.", She blabbers avoiding his questions.
"Hey, you can't cancel the date. That's my wish and you know the rules.", He reminded her.
"Then get onto the bed right now.", She said sternly pointing her finger to the bed.
"Ssshhh.. you will wake her up. Okay, I am going.", He said with a pouty face like a whiny little kid. He went and occupied the bed.
"By the way, you didn't tell me whose box is it, if not mine?", He inquired. Sana virtually facepalms thinking what to say.
"Uhh.. aaa.. those three are somebody else's consignment delivered in error to us.", She said and ran out to call the movers.
"Could you please, take the three boxes kept in that room and shift it to upstairs room?", She said to the movers.
They went to the room and picked up the boxes and placed it in the room upstairs. Sana sighed in relief and signed the consignment register.
She went to the first floor and looked at the boxes. She pulled out the blazer from the opened box. She filled in her lungs with the aroma from it and kissed it. She picked the photo album which was below the blazer and opened it. She ran her fingers on their wedding picture.
Flashback:
Sana was looking at the wedding pictures in the laptop when Agastya walked in.
Agastya: What are you doing sweetheart?
Sana: I was selecting best pictures from our hardbound wedding photo album.
Agastya: For what?
Sana: So that when we get old and you retire, we can sit together in each other's embrace, sip on tea, watch it and reminisce our memories.
He went and sat beside her and hugged her, sipped the tea from her mug and looked at the laptop.
Agastya: That we can see in our laptop as well. Why do you want a hardbound album for it?
Sana: Call me old school, but soft copies don't give that feel, Agastya. Trust me, you would love this in future.
Agastya: Anything with you is love, my love. (Points at a picture) That's my favourite picture of all. For a change your eyes are focused on me, else it's always me who can't stop staring at you.
They both laugh.
Flashback ends.
Agastya.. All these are your memories left with me which I can't share with Sidharth. But he wanted to wear this blazer on the date. The date he wished only for my happiness. But this blazer was my first gift for you and I know it is your favourite. You may not like someone else wearing it.
