"What the- Where am I?" Maddie asked as she looked around. "How did I get home? Okay, let's think-"

Maddie?! Grace's voice called in Maddie's mind.

Grace! I'm home!

How did you get there? Gavin asked.

I have no clue. Now, hurry up, slowpokes, and come home!

Gavin, Grace, and Jillian, who had been listening in on the conversation, sprinted toward the house.

"Hey!" Preston yelled as he struggled to catch up to them.

They got there in record time. On the porch was Maddie, leaning against the door nonchalantly.

"Hey snails!"

"Maddie!" everyone, including Preston, shouted. Grace and Jillian ran up to give her a hug.

"Okay. I can't handle that much hugging," Maddie said as she pried them off.

"Too bad." Gavin and Preston gave her a small half-hug each.

"We were so worried!" Jillian said in the most frantic voice anyone had ever heard her use.

Maddie laughed. "I could tell. So if I'm a... teleporter, does that mean that you guys have powers, too?"

"I hope so," Gavin said. "That would be so cool!" Gavin brushed her arm and jumped back.

"Gavin?" Maddie asked. "Are you okay?"

"I...don't know. I touched you and I suddenly felt really happy."

"Sounds like someone has a case of the crushes!" Grace  teased.

Gavin rolled his eyes. "It's not about that!"

"Sure." Grace smirked.

"I'm serious," he said as he shoved her. He jumped back again. "You're enjoying this."

"That's pretty obvious," Preston growled.

Gavin tapped Preston's arm and frowned. "You're jealous... You're jealous of me."

"What?" One thing that was really great about Preston, was that he was an awful liar.

Gavin tried to duck by Maddie but she blocked his path. He put a hand on her arm.

"No matter how determined you are, I can still get past you." Gavin broke contact with Maddie and frowned. "I can still feel your emotions."

"Weird," Maddie said nervously.

"Nervous. Okay, angry. Now it's angry."

Maddie shoved him backwards into the door.

"Everyone inside! I think it's about time for a group meeting to be in order!"
