Chapter 1-Pre view

---

"Please!" She cried as her feet smashed into the soft dirt beneath her, leaving bare tracks as the humid air had found a way into her lungs. Heaving for oxygen she ran, heaving for the simplest thing-oxygen she ran...

Plea's left her lips hastily as she tried to rid herself from the monsters behind her, vicious growls and snarls reached her ears with the harsh scrape of claws against chain "Please! Heimdal!" She screamed. Even knowing for a fact that mythical Gods-Norse Gods, didn't exist. She couldn't help but wish for him to suddenly open a portal into the beautiful city of gold told in many tales she used to read in books and listen to the elders who spoke the stories to the new generation.

Tripping over a single stone, her body collided with soil. Pulling her harshly down the rocky hill as the men behind along with their animals chased her through thick and thin, never giving her up-never giving up their precious creation as all they had hoped for in this special experiment had gone just the way they wanted.

"Heimdal..." she whispered, voice deep and dry from the lack of nutrition. Life phyically drained out of her as the men who ran the experiments never cared for the sorryful victims, only caring about the profit and the successful outcomes he would take towards his advantage.

Whispers echoed in her ears as the wind blew past her with a ragful gust that had the trees bending to it's will. Branches tearing apart from the trunk as leaves ripped themselves apart from the shear force "Open the gates" she whispered while looking up, begging to the Gods above to free her from this hell, free her from all the pain that followed her every step like a ghost in her shadows, forever awake and forever with her-toturing her in every way it possibly could.

Begging towards the sky Gods, she hoped that Heimdal would hear her cries and let her in, let her into the city of light and freedom "Let me in..." she mumbled with a slow cry managing to fall away from her aching and cut lips, bleeding and cracked.

"Please, I've never wanted anything more than to-" A scream ripped itself from the bottom of her chest as she felt something pull her up from the ground. A heavy force that had her mind swirling with the thought of throwing up everything that she had-which in the end, was nothing but aching stomach acid from the lack of food.

Shutting her eyes tight, she let the intense feeling take over for a minute before she felt her body instantly relax and deflate from the high pressure of whatever just happened. "H-Heimdal?" She carefully and slowly opened her eyes, squinting at the second moment as the bliding yellow light caused her eyes to tear up "You have requested me, but might I ask for your name?" He already knew it however, he was just going to test her.

"S-..." She stopped halfway as she lost herself in thought, not because of her name-no. But because she was taking in the fact that the famous God-the gate keeper of Asgard just opened a portal for her to travel, even though that these norse Gods remain a myth. Nothing but a legend as she stood there with the man in gold just staring down at her from atop the stairs.

"I'm Sylph, Sylph Harper?" She questioned herself, was that her name, or was this something she thought of when she was younger and just went along with it as she grew older "You have not mistaken your name, young one" She nodded her head slowly, thoughts running in her head wildly.

"Did I hit my head too hard?"

"You are perfectly fine in your mental situation, but may I request something of you?" "S-sure, anything actually-you saved my life so..." she rambled as she slapped herself internally "Sorry" she mumbled afterwards, cursing herself for the incoherent rambling of words that probably didn't make sense "No need to apologise, now. Why have you summond me?" She opened her mouth to answer, only to be left dumb founded as she didn't know what to say-wasn't he the all seeing. Didn't he see all the things they did to her.

"Maybe he had like a five minute break or something"

"But then years have passed for the torturing..."

"But time could also be different here, I don't know anymore"

"True, true"

Why was he asking a question like this when he already knew the answer "Uh...Um, would it be considered rude if I said, 'shouldn't you already know the answer?' " She didn't mean for it to come out rude or harsh, she was just generally curious as to why he would be asking a question such as this.

"Yes" "Oh okay then..." She looked down at her feet as an awkward silenced passed between the two of them-or maybe just her "I 'summoned' you because I used to listen to people talk about the Golden city of Asgard, and how the gate keeper was All seeing and that if you asked him to bring you to the realm of Gold, he would..." she finished slowly "And at the time, I just really needed your help and-...I didn't know what else to do" she mumbled the last part with a little sniffle, a little piece of her just hurting at the thought of being forever alone, she wouldn't be able to handle the pain.

"Don't shed your tears, you are safe now. For fear is not welcome here" he smiled warmly at her, climbing down the stairs as she had previously sat down on the bottom step, sitting down next to her bruised and battered body "But how could you just exist. You're thought to be nothing but a myth, nothing but a legend that happened to be written in history" "Our people once ventured to your home you call Earth, we learned the ways of your people. And we shared our knowledge with you the same...But some of you turned that knowledge into greed and we decided it best to leave and hopefully never return...But fate has it's twists and turns, nothing is ever staying planned".

She nodded her head as the sound of horses running, the loud banging of steel on glass echoed through the gold dome "What will they do to me, Heimdal!?" She was panicking as she stood up, holding an arm up to her chest as Heimdal stood up alongside of her "Why has the portal been opened, Gate Keeper. You have not told the King of this" Heimdal nodded his head "I will discuss this with the King, now. I ask of you guards to stay here while I go speak with the King" The rest of them nodded their heads as Sylph peeked her head past Heimdal's golden cape that flowed freely behind him.

"What is this?" One of the guards asked as he stared at the little girl "She is to accompany me" they nodded their heads once again as they moved out of the way and held out the reins of one of the horses for Heimdal to take "Would you like some assistance?" He asked the little girl as she blushed red with a small squeak of 'please' leaving her lips with a sudden rush.

He only chuckled before lifting her up with a small laugh as she held on tightly to the reigns, giggling as Heimdal climbed up behind her. Not really trusting a twelve year old girl to ride a horse by herself "How fast can she go or is it a boy, it's fine if it's a boy too" she smiled while nodding her head, brown curls bouncing up and down with her excitement "Shartin is indeed a male and yes, he can 'go fast' " Chuckled Heimdal as he picked up his speed, causing a loud scream of adrenaline to rip itself from her mouth as the blood was rushing through her blood with such a ferocious momentum, it had her heart racing with pure exhilaration.

She held onto Shartin tighter as the speed he was running at seemed to increase every second as the archway to the city seemingly got closer with each passing millisecond that had her chest heaving from mere delirium "Can we go again?" She asked with a giggle, almost sliding off the horse as she couldn't help the helpless bursts of laughter erupting from her chest "I think that's enough for today, and besides young one, we're going to visit the king" she internally gulped at the thought of meeting...a king?

"Is the king-...Is he nice?" "All depending on the situation young one" Heimdal's voice boomed through the halls as she scurried to catch up with him.

"Do they all walk this fast?"

"I mean, they are from another universe"

"Oh okay"

She giggled as two golden eyes looked down at the laughing girl "You are quite joyous" "Thank you" she giggled while jumping onto him, clutching onto him tighter as a man walked by, dark clothing with a mask as he stared at her while walking by, his most obvious heaving lungs telling her something was off "Who is that man?" She asked quietly as Heimdal gently placed her back on the ground "One does not dwell on thoughts for long, young one" "Oh okay then" she smiled while holding onto his hand. Not knowing a single thing he just said.

"Meeting the king...Should be fun"

I possibly won't be updating this frequently, but maybe-I'll think about it.

But this is just a pre-view, a short insight for the later chapters that will soon be coming or soon be released? Idk, whatever...

But alas, enjoy this one little snippet for now, see you next time, peace out ✌🏼🤣
