Recap-

Janet Samuels is a girl taken in by her Aunt and Uncle after her parents died when she was a small child. She lives with them and her cousin, Kiara.

Kiara and Janet are best friends and are about to start their senior year.

Janet has a secret. She practices dance using modern technology and online lessons and no one in her family is aware of it, not even Kiara. She is also helping a dance group with their choreography.

It's the first day of senior year and Diane, Janet's dance group member, and Kiara almost clash.

They enter school and the clash with Selena happens. They walk in to meet Delna and Andrew where the incident from the previous night is narrated.

Kiara and Delna walk to class and Janet has a discussion on love with Andrew.

After Andrew leaves, Janet spots something fishy happening in the old Chemistry lab and she walks towards it.

This leads to her first encounter with Steven Rome.

They have a brief argument before Janet manages to escape. She runs to class where she talks to Jason.

Jason behaves weirdly and she notices it. She finds it weird. Suddenly she finds Kiara's bracelet from where Jason's stuff had fallen. She feels hurt that Kiara has lost the bracelet and she doesn't even know about it.

Also, she wonders why Jason has the bracelet.

Janet gets Kiara to wear her bracelet for the election and Kiara's behaviour confirms that she had absolutely no idea that her bracelet is missing. She is very excited about it and Janet sleeps, pondering about the events the next day.

Kiara realises she doesn't have her bracelet and she creates a ruckus to find it. Janet is now sure about Kiara's innocence about her bracelet's absence.

Janet has made the perfect plan to finish this without any further trouble but does anything ever go according to her plan?

She was going to place the bracelet in Kiara's locker and Kiara would have found it, like it was not missing at all. But it disappears from Janet's locker and it leaves her puzzled.

She gets even more puzzled when Kiara walks towards her with the bracelet in her hand.

The announcement about the election results happens and she goes there but just when she's walking away, she sees Jason staring at them, a satisfied look on his face.

Janet decides to confront him. Kiara becomes the president, Selena the academic head, Delna becomes the head for sports and Janet becomes the head of the Drama club.

She feels absolutely devastated because the faculty head of the drama club is Mrs McCartney, who is Selena's aunt, who also hates Janet.

And Mrs McCartney starts to sit on Janet's head immediately by giving her a list of tasks. They also came to know that Kiara won because the management got ten chits with her name.

Janet goes ahead and bunks class to complete her work. She finishes it one hour after school gets over and the school is empty. Just when she is leaving, she hears two people whispering, one of them is wearing a black leather Jacket with a print of the Tiger face on it. The other is none other than Steven.

She makes a noise and Steven is alerted. He comes behind her and she hides in an old class, wondering what the hell is this guy up to.

She comes to school next morning and hears the commotion coming from the boy's washroom. She hears Steven cornering someone. She man's up and enters the boy's washroom to save whoever Steven was cornering. She saves the person, who is Jason, and confesses to Steven that she had infact heard him talk to the leather jacket guy.

Just then Mrs McCartney catches them red handed.

There both of them are given a punishment. Janet was given additional work and Steven was to assist Janet for the next one month, till the Drama competition. Janet comes to know that Jason got Mrs McCartney and that he was in school for a long time. Her suspicion increases.

A small incident with Steven happens where Steven gives her a stupid nickname. Then she goes to the auditorium to find all her work already done. She wonders who did it.

She randomly decides to practice one dance move which changes to full fledge dancing. She is caught doing so by Steven who takes full advantage of the situation.

Steven strikes a deal with Janet, where he would protect her secret and she would protect his. Janet reluctantly agrees and immediately regrets her decision of dancing.

She walks out and finds Jason. She takes this opportunity to demand answers to all the questions she had in mind.

They go inside a room and Jason tells Janet about how last summer he met Kiara at the lake one evening.

Kiara was drunk and she had come to the lake to attempt suicide. Kiara and Jason have a talk and see the old couple. Kiara falls asleep and Jason drops her home. During this time only Jason finds Kiara's bracelet.

Kiara realises she lost her bracelet and she comes in search for it. Jason was present when she's looking for it and he decides to give it to her for the time being. He takes it from her locker again the very next day.

Jason tells Janet how he has had a crush on Kiara for a very long time and how she won the election because of him. He also tells her that all the work in the auditorium was done by him.

Janet then gets the brilliant idea of picking Jason as the actor of the play. She convinces him and goes ahead to meet Kiara.

They are at lunch when Diane calls Janet. Kiara is suspicious but she lets it go. Kiara tells Janet about the celebration they are holding in the park near the lake.

Janet leaves in search of Steven. She doesn't find him so she takes his number from Jason. She calls him to the Great escape and they meet there.

Steven insults the waitress who was interested in him. Then the only girl who seemed unaffected by him serves them. They fight before they finally work in piece. Steven behaves rudely with her again after they finish working and they argue but Andrew walks in and their fight is cut short.

Delna and Kiara walk in and they start to play the game of truth and dare. There Janet accepts the fact that she has a part of her life that no one knows about. Delna and Andrew are curious about it while Kiara behaves disinterested.

Then Kiara is asked a question about the last person she was seriously into and she lies about it.

The game gets over and they all start heading home. Delna and Andrew go home together and Kiara pulls Janet to the central park.

At the park, Kiara narrates the entire story about that summer and Trevor Hunt, the guy who she fell in love with.

Kiara falls asleep and just then Steven walks in out of nowhere. He helps Janet take Kiara to the car. They have small talk where Steven asks Janet about Trevor and her family.

Janet decides to be nice and relieve Steven from his assistant duties but Steven chooses to continue.

Janet is surprised but she doesn't express her surprise.

The very next day Janet gets late for school and she reaches school to find the entire student council with the Principal and Mrs McCartney waiting for her.

She goes in and Mrs McCartney announces that everyone is here for the important announcements. The announcement of the script and lead actors.

Janet realises that she doesn't have an actress and she, when she is asked, she decides to throw Kiara under the bus.
