Martha's body was discovered the next day. It was really hard for Mark to pretend like he knew nothing.

The sun still shines from the East and sets in the West. Yet, days are empty and his mind is listless.

His father was arrested, since, the evidence pointed that he was the murderer. The police didn't even bother to investigate further. The police are quite lazy, here.

"Sup fella," He sends a junior crashing to the floor. "Tie your shoelaces. It will help you from tripping and embarrassing yourself." He lets out a dry laugh.

Everyone in the corridor pauses from their routine and looks at Mark. Nobody is impressed. Everybody is surprised by the change in his behavior. They take notice. Then, turn their backs and leave.
