Ugh. Is this what it feels like to be bored. I don't even know why I'm bored. I'm usually not bored when I am off duty. I guess it's the irritating feeling that there's a human walking around, and I am forced to sit here on my butt. Whatever you know what. I won't take this. I'm gonna go have fun. Crap, what's fun?

Oh I know! I'll call up my boy Paps. 

Dialing... Dialing... Dialing...

Hello you have reached I, the Great Papyrus. You have reached my Great Voicemail. Dear friend, fret not, I shall call you back once I get the time. Nyeheheh! 

Dang it Papyrus. I sat around. I wanted to train, but Asgore said he prefer me not too. Ugh, what to do around this place? Hmm. I could go to see what Sans is up to, but he's probably just sleeping. Or at Grillby's. 

Oh hey, I wonder what Alphys is up to. Maybe I'll stop by the lab to see if she's doin' anything. I pulled on a tank and some shorts. It's so hot in the Hotlands. Probably why it's called the Hotlands.

I got to the lab and was unsure of what to do. I've never been to a lab. Is there some special way I am suppose to knock? Is there a camera? Uh...

"Hello, um I am Undyne." I said. Based off tv shows I just gotta assume there's a voice recognizer or something. And... nothing happened. Great, I look dumb now. 

Okay well I don't know what else to do. Why are there no doorbells on this place? I finally just knocked. 

...

No response. I knocked a little harder.

...

No response again. I tried pounding, lightly, on the door.

...

"Uh, h-hello? Um w-who is it?" I heard Alphys ask through the door.

"Heyyy Alphys! It's me Undyne. You garbage dump pal!" 

Beep.

The door opened. 

"H-hey Undyne. W-What's up?" She asked. 

"Well Asgore gave me a day off today. So I decided to come over here and see what you were up to. Am I being a bother? I know your probably really busy with sciencey stuff."

"U-Uh n-no. It's okay. Would you like t-to come in o-or something?"

"Sure!" I said. I walked in and was awed by how huge the lab was. Holy crap. 

"Heh, um, Wel-Welcome to my l-lab. I know it's not t-that good. I didn't have m-mu"-

"Not good! Alphys are you insane? This place is awesome!"

"Echooo!" I yelled.

(Echooo!) 

"Haha that's awesome! See! Awesome!" I told her.

"Hehe, y-yeah. I didn't even k-know that was p-possible" She giggled. 

"You try it." I encouraged. I wondered what she'd sound like yelling, since she always talked so quiet.

"N-no, it's o-okay." 

"Come on, you must want to just randomly shout out a word. Okay I admit that sounds a lot lamer now. Haha"

"Heh, I g-guess I c-could try it." Alphys hesitated.

"Okay shout out a word."

"U-Uh... Noodles!" She said, except it was just a little above room voice. It barely echoed.

"M-Mine didn't w-work." Alphys quietly said. She sounded a little disappointed.

"You just didn't yell it loud enough. You gotta SHOUT it." I laughed.

(SHOUT it)

"O-Okay" She said laughing.

"N-N-Noodles!" She yelled. It wasn't quite as loud as me, but loud enough.

(N-N-Noddles!)

"Haha, see! And did you say noodles?" I asked. Noodles, that is the most random word ever, I love it!

"Y-Yeah.." 

"That's awesome!" I smiled.

"W-Well noodles a-are pretty g-good." She laughed. 

"Hmm, I've never had noodles." Wow, how have I never had noodles? However that happened, her jaw practically dropped to the floor. Except for her it was more of a half open jaw drop. But for her, that seems like a lot.

"Haha what's that look for?"

"U-Undyne. This is s-serious business. Noodles a-are serious b-business."

"Haha, are they now?" I laughed at her trying to be intimidating. Not at her, just it was funny considering her personality. 

She grabbed my arm and dragged me into her kitchen. Or I guess, her fridge. It was by a biggg tv screen with a bunch of different camera angles on it. Wow, she had cameras set up all over the Underground.

Alphys stopped at the fridge. She opened the door and pulled out noodles. She put them in a microwave, but it instantly cooked. Wow, perks of being a scientist.

"Here." All of a sudden her stutter was gone. This chick took her noodles seriously. 

"You take you noodles quite seriously huh?" I laughed.

"Yes, yes I do."

I took the fork she gave me and tried a bite. Surprisingly they were really good. The texture was, I don't even know. But they were really tasty! I gotta show Paps this! But nothing would ever reach his standards for spaghetti.

I guess she could tell by the look on my face that I liked them because she spoke before I said anything.

"I knew y-you'd like them!" There's the good old stutter. 

"Why yes Alphys, I suppose your correct" I grinned.

I spent the rest of the day at her lab. It was awesome. Who expected someone with so much anxiety to be so much fun? We talked about all sorts of random things. Unfortunately the robot was not there today. Apparently he was out filming a new episode of his T.V. Show. But it was cool, cause she was really, really neat, especially for a nerd.

"Woah, it's 7 o clock already?" I asked looking at her clock.

"W-Wow." Alphys replied. We were playing a multiplayer fighting at the time. And holy crap Alphys absolutely demolished me! Even though I lost, it was fricking awesome! She also showed me around her lab. Escalators, pink goo, actions figures, NOODLES, this place is freaking epic. Only one thing, she said her bathroom was out of order.

"Crazy how time works. So, wanna hang out again sometime?" I asked, hoping she wouldn't be to nervous to say yes. 

"Y-yeah!"

"Hey, do you wanna exchange numbers or something?" 

"S-Sure..." She smiled, she seemed very nervous though. I mean, she always seems nervous, but something seemed off. Hm. Whatever I guess.

We exchanged numbers and headed on home. I guess today didn't turn out to suck as much as I was expecting it too. Actually, quite the opposite. 

When I got home I couldn't resist myself. I had to know.

Dialing... Dialing...

"Hello? Undyne?"

"Asgore!! Any new news on the human?"

"Undyne, I told you need a break."

"It's 7:15, how much longer do you expect me to go without wanting to know something?"

"Haha, okay Undyne. However I hate to be disappointing, no new news. Remember, if anything happened one of the other members would call you. Am I wrong?"

"No..." I replied with a sigh in my voice. Ugh, I hate when other people are right. 

"Mhm, that's what I thought. Now you can assume your assignment tomorrow. Okay?"  I hesitated a moment. Today was really fun, I kinda wanted another day off. No! Wait! What am I saying?? There's a blood thirsty human and I am lolly gagging around!

"Yes!! Of course Asgore!" I stated with pure confidence. Today was cool, but tomorrow no more games. It's go time.
