You probably hate how you have a good heart.

You probably hate how it makes you see the good in people.

You probably hate how it makes you trust people so easily.

You probably hate how it makes you forgive people too fast.

You probably hate how it makes you get attached to someone too soon.

You probably hate how it makes you accept peoples' flaws without considering how awful they truly are.

You probably hate how it blinds you from seeing what peoples' true colors

are until you're already in too deep.

You probably hate how it keeps you from leaving

even when you know it's time for walk way.

You probably hate how it makes you come back to the person

who takes advantage of your good heart all of the time.

But you see,

that's the problem with having a good heart.

You think everyone else has one, too.

You think everyone else is able to meet your expectations

because you know you're capable of meeting theirs.

You think everyone else is able to be there for you

because you have no problem being there for them.

And right now,

you're wondering if you get rid of your good heart

because all its done is get you hurt.

Well,

I'm here to reassure you that as insecure as you've become,

as damaged as you gotten,

as crazy as you've gone,

your good heart makes you who you are and that's something you should never get rid of.

One day,

someone is gonna come along and know what to do with it,

but until that day comes,

save it for that person and keep it for yourself.
