bonus chapter ; skywalker
I walk along the tall rock-formation looking over a planet I've never learned the name of. Names aren't necessary, especially when you're like me.
The only known fact of this place is that it's the origin of the Force, and after my death, I have become one with it.
I hear shouting voices over the ocean waves crashing on the cliff-side. I furrow my eyebrows and decide to investigate.
The beings who accompany me here barely speak to each other. It's truly surprising. You would think that being alone is the last thing that us force-ghosts would want to be. Well, you're wrong.
I come across a clearing, where several of my companions stand, chattering excitedly, in a clump.
"Ani!" Padmé, my beautiful wife, beckons.
"What is it?" I ask. Just seeing her brings a smile to my face.
She is one of the very few, non-force-sensitive beings who exists here. She isn't even a force-ghost, she's not like us. Her means of existence are a mystery to us.
Obi-Wan turns around with a smug smirk when he feels I'm near.
"Your grandson, Ben, finally kissed that Ghana girl." Mace Windu scoffs.
"Really? My man!" I cheer, several other ghosts clapping my back.
"Yes, well, I never expected my daughter to stoop low enough to canoodle with a dirty Skywalker." A voice growls. I face them with an angered glare. Of course, it is Sylvestine Ghana, the father of my grandson's girl interest, Mali.
"Dirty Skywalker? I'll show you dirty-" I begin to threaten, ready to attack, when I'm interrupted by Obi-Wan's patronizing tone.
"Now, Anakin, there's no need to start anything over a few aggressive words-"
Sylvestine's face is taunting, and I bare my teeth.
"You're right." I relent, dropping my arms. I turn back to Padmé and put my arm around her.
"So, Ben really kissed her?" I cock my head.
"Yeah, he did. And she let him. You all thought I was wrong in thinking she liked him." Padmé grins.
"Hey! I never said I didn't believe you, it's-"
"Silent, you must be." Master Yoda cuts Obi-Wan off, looking at something in the Force-Window.
"What is it, Master?" I ask.
"The pull, he feels. For the first time after the death of his father, it is." Yoda reveals, stepping away to reveal my familiar black-haired grandson.
"There's hope!" Padmé hums.
"He might feel the pull, but it doesn't mean he'll give in." Obi-Wan doubts. Normally a comment like that would make me angry, but I'm sure he's thinking of me, when I was still alive. When we were still alive, and I betrayed him.
"If I can, he can too." I say, although I'm not 100% sure of my statement. Padmé sighs and buries her face in my arm.
"Maybe it's time that you visited him?" She suggests, and I feel her lips move against my arm.
"You know he wouldn't respect me in this form. He only wants to see Vader." I frown.
"Better, it might be, if we let it play out." Yoda advises.
"Master Yoda is right." Windu agrees.
"Alright." I acquiesce. I turn out of the circle and let Obi-Wan and Padmé walk at my sides.
"You know, Anakin, it'd be in your best interest to keep your flying fists under control. You nearly clipped me-"
"Well, Master, your head was where my fist was supposed to go." I smirk, glancing at him out of the corner of my eye.
"Anakin." He frowns. A smile blossoms on my face and I bark out a laugh.
"Well. I see where your grandson gets it." Obi-Wan huffs.
I sigh.
I could only hope that Ben Solo would see the Light he is destined for. Maybe, just maybe, this Ghana girl would be the one to help him.
