O'shea

I laid in the bed, letting the morphine the doctors gave me take place. I was on a all time high from the stuff and I was feeling good. I couldn't help but think about Karin and everything that happened.

I can tell you now, me and that broad aint gonna be together after that shit. How could you even stoop so low to letting a nigga fuck you. I know what I did was wrong, but damn.

You set me up and invite me over, what the fuck you thought was gonna happen?

Definitely not having tea and cookies with this nigga. That wasn't a option. When the cops arrived, she kept screaming about me and Mani messing around as the cops allowed to get dressed in a T-shirt and PJ shorts she had laying on the floor.

So the cat was out the bag. Mani and I had a relapse and slept with eachother. I know I was wrong but It was a heat of the moment kind of thing. If that nigga Quavo could shoot, I would of been shot in the fucking neck and all for what? For some pussy? I don't think so. That aint my style.

I heard the door open, causing me to open my eyes and I saw E'mani entering the room with Affinity and Alex behind her.

I hope they don't come in here starting shit cause getting shot was enough excitement for my ass for one day.

"O'shea" E'mani said as she rushed to my bedside, staring at me with watery eyes. "You feeling okay"

"I'm better now." I said with a smile as I looked into her eyes. Glancing at Blessing, she was looking around the hospital room. "I see lil mama awake"

"Daddy!" Affinity screamed with excitement as she tried to climb on top of the bed.

"Hey baby girl." I said as Alex helped her up on to the bed. Affinity came and crawled near me, finding her sweet spot between my arm and the bed.

"Daddy. Why you hea?" she questioned as she used her little hands to palm the side of my face.

"Daddy don't feel good" I said, poking my lip out at her.

"You want juice?" Affinity eyes lit up as she looked concerned, causing everyone to chuckle a little.

"Nah baby. Daddy don't want no juice okay. Daddy a superhero, he will be okay."

"Super daddy" Affinity smiled, kissing my nose."My daddy a stuper hero."

"Super hero baby" Alex corrected as she smiled. "You feeling okay? I just wanted to check."

"I'm straight. Thank you for bringing baby girl." I nodded as my eyes diverted to my heart in human form.

"No worries" Alex replied before grabbing her purse. " Ummm.... I'll leave you two to talk" she said as she looked at me and Mani. "I'll be back to get Affinity."

Alex grabbed her Chanel bag and proceeded to leave the room. E'mani took a seat on the side of the bed and bent down to kiss my forehead.

"You scared me." She said, placing her head on my mines. " Yo momma called me hysterical saying you was shot."

I sucked my teeth, "That's why I don't tell her nun. She calling you scaring you at12 at night, when I told her that it wasn't nothing major. But she saw blood and-"

"O'shea. I love you. And this situation made me realize that I do indeed love you so much." E'mani cut me off as she blurted out her words. " I prayed the whole way here asking God to please make sure you were okay and to give you strength. I-I don't know what I would do if something happened to you." Her voice trembled as tears fell.

Affinity crawled over to E'mani, staring at Blessing. "Baby?" she said with widened eyes and a bright smile.

"Yeah that's a baby just like you" I laughed. "Look at her calling someone a baby, like she grown. But Mani, I love you too. Its just fucked up that it took for something like this to happen for us to really be real with ourselves."

E'mani nodded as she wiped her tears from her eyes. She seemed so worked up and I wasn't sure if it was because of the situation or because she really feels for me.

E'mani emotions are like an unstable roller coaster and you have to know how to deal with her. And although we have our issues, I think I'm the only man that can deal with her and her emotions.

Sure, her ass is crazy and she's a product of Eric and Shayla Wright but I love her to pieces. I thought moving on would make me bury that emotion and not think about it.

It didn't help a damn thing.

"I know. I want you to focus on healing and if you need anything, I will be here for you okay?" She said to me as she looked me in my eyes. I could tell that she meant every word.

I nodded as I opened my free arm and she laid her body into the small space. She fit perfectly. Affinity furrowed her eyebrows and laid on me as well.

"Daddy, she can't lay. You my daddy. She can have ya arm"

E'mani laughed and raised up. "I'm sorry baby. I won't lay on ya daddy no more"

Looking up at Mani, I winked and she smiled at me. How could a moment like this be so beautiful? Sometimes, it takes for the craziest shit to happen to make you realize how much you love and care for someone.

| 1Month later |

E'mani

I was reading from my textbook as I saw a text message from O'shea flash across my screen. Lately, things seemed to have died down with the drama that came between us.

He is constantly working and I am focused on school and Blessing. That's the way I wanted it. Karin and that Quavo nigga are currently having charges pressed against them since Rih wouldn't let up. I don't know how the trial process is going but I'm just glad that O'shea and I have been taking things slow.

Remember when I said that he was gonna feel the wrath of me? Well, we had a conversation about that and Karin confessed that she went through his phone and found texts messages between us. She confided in Jason and he tried his most damnedest to get Blessing taken away from me.

When he realized that Blessing is better off with me due to his crazy schedule, he just left it alone and just asked that we be cordial and compliant whenever he comes for his co-parenting visit. He is aware that O'shea is lingering around and he is being a man about it.

I know Jason has come to terms that I and he will NEVER get back together and he is perfectly fine with that.

I bit my bottom lip with a smile as I unlocked my phone to read his text message;

Bae: Come outside.

I rolled my eyes with a smile as I hopped off the couch after tossing my and went to the door and opened it. And there he was, standing there as he leaned on his Black Audi wearing a Classic Kobe Bryant Lakers Jersey, jeans and a pair of all white foamposites. He still sported a sling for his arm, but he still looked yummy.

"What are you doing here!" I yelled with a smile plastered across my face.

"I came to take you out. You been cooped up in that house with Blessing and that crazy ass school work."

"I Can't-"

"I'm not taking no for an answer. I got Affinity in the car and we gonna have some fun. She kept asking where's Mani so I took her to see you"

I was surprised that his little girl asked for me, let alone know my name. I sighed as I slapped my hand across my forehead. He poked his lip out at me, causing me to smile.

"Let me get my things big ass baby" I giggled, closing the door and ran in the house like a little school girl to gather Blessing and I things.

I slipped into something simple, a Burberry Oversized button down with a Moschino belt wrapped around my waist to give it extra style and a pair of Burberry Brit Sandals.

I made sure to put Blessing in the same thing and did her hair into two quick curly puff ponytails.

We walked to his car after I locked the house up, looking adorable and I could tell O'shea was thinking the same thing.

"Awwww...look at ya'll two." O'shea grinned like a Cheshire cat. "Hi lil mama" He smiled as he tickled Blessing who was sucking on her pacifier and grinning at him.

"She likes you." I kissed Blessing cheek as she laid her head on my shoulder.

"It amazes me that she is so big. I'm getting old." I sighed as I cringed at the thought of getting wrinkles on my face.

"Girl." O'shea said to me as he opened the car door. "Get in the car. I'll get lil mama car seat"

"I got it you only got one arm" I teased as I winked at him.

"Ha-Ha. Yeah, I got one arm but a third leg. You would know" O'shea winked back at me before laughing.

"Ooooh you make me sick"

I laughed as I went to get Blessing's baby seat of my truck before placing it into the backseat and strapping her in. Affinity was sleeping soundly in her seat as she held a lollipop in her right hand. Gosh, she was so beautiful.

Her long hair was in a bun which had a pink and white ribbon around it and she wore an all-white dress with pink Kate Spade baby sandals.

"Get in the passenger seat. I'll drive." I told O'shea as I circled around the front of the car.

He grabbed me with his arm and wrapped it around my waist as he pulled me close to him.

He stared into my eyes as if he was reading my soul, just like he did when we first started dating, I felt those little flutters in my gut as I smiled at him before pressing his lips against mine.

"Mmm...now you can get in the driver seat baby."

We ended up at Applebee's on Winnetka Ave and the girls were happy as hell to be stuffing their faces with chocolate mousse cake that I told O'shea not to get.

Blessing just wanted to make a mess as usual and Affinity had a bunch of chocolate icing around her mouth as she stabbed her spoon into her ice cream.

"I told you not to get them a bunch of sugar. Now look at them"

"Maaaaan" O'shea waved me off. "They are enjoying themselves. The only reason you saying that is cause Affinity potty training and you still gotta wipe boo boo up"

"Oh Please O'shea"

"I'm just saying. " O'shea wrapped his arm around my shoulder." Let them live a little. Enjoy ya self cause you see they aint got no problem enjoying themselves."

"I guess." I hunched my shoulders as he leaned his head to give me a kiss on the neck. "Stop" I squealed with a wide ass grin.

"Keep playing girl." O'shea bit lip at me before kissing my neck again.

"Daddy you stop kissin now! That's for grown-ups!" Affinity yelled as she slammed her messy fist on the table.

"Yeah O'shea. Stop cause that's for grown-ups." I teased before sticking my tongue out.

"Daddy is a grown up." O'shea raised his eyebrow as he looked at Affinity.

"Nuh huh. Daddy is a baby. Mani a grown-up" Affinity smiled as she dug her spoon back in her ice cream.

"The princess has spoken. You are a baby, daddy" I winked before sipping my drink and popping a French fry in my mouth.

I picked up a French fry and placed one into O'shea's mouth. Jesus, his tongue felt so good and warm running across my finger, making me wish it was somewhere else.

"I aint that damn cripple that I can't feed myself." He laughed. "You wild."

" I just wanted to share with you. Feed you."

"Feed me huh?" he said as he scooched closer to me. "You can deff feed me later when the kids are sleep."

"Ugh, you are so corny and nasty!" I laughed as I continued to feed him. "Real-real corny boo."

"Yeah so what. You love that corny ish too"

"Every single bit of it"
