Chapter Twelve, Settling in

They had been here a few weeks now had now finally settled in. Sirius, Nymphadora, Andromeda and Lucius worked for MACUSA, Sirius and Nymphadora as Aurors, Lucius worked in Magical Cooperation and Andromeda as a Lawyer. Narcissa worked as a Healer, Remus and Ted stayed home for the time being teaching Honor and Draco as it would soon be time for Honor to give birth. But when they found go back to school Remus and Ted were going to be joint DADA professors at Ivermony the American School of Magic.

For the first few days when they arrived Dobby and Kreacher along with the six House elves, who were attached to this house and bound to Honor as the only living Potter tied to the Peverell line through Iolanthe and a descendant of Ignotus, the eight of them had spent the time cleaning, polishing and updating the house and gardens. Although the six other house elves had kept both the extensive 200 acres of gardens and the house in impeccable condition, the house elves had gone a little overboard now that people were living here especially their Mistress Honor who was expecting twins.

Each room was gorgeous with wooden beams on the ceilings that could be seen, plush carpets in wonderful conditions, the whole house had a luxury medieval feel to it with an updated modern interior but not too much so it didn't hide the houses natural characteristic and charm. Each bedroom was large with four poster beds, fireplaces and sofas in front of them. The twins nursery was joined on to Honor and Draco's room each one having their own nursery. The grounds had their own fruit and vegetable patches, rose bushes and lilies as well as other assortment of flowers, there were some magical animals that lived in the gardens too Luke Abraxan horses, Bowtruckles in the trees, Porlocks and fairies that they have found so far.

The grounds were large and extensive so Remus found roam freely in a Full moon without hurting anyone especially as a ward had been placed to ease his mind so he couldn't leave the grounds in wolf form and he couldn't come within five meet of the house in any direction while in wolf form. The first day after they had left and Lucius has recovered from removing the mark, he had never felt freer and he felt his magic return to him as it seemed the mark was siphoning his magic into the Dark Lord. He was finally free from the choice his father had forced him into when he was Draco's age, he couldn't put into words the joy and relief he felt that he didn't have to put his son through the same torment he's been through for most of his life.

Honor and Remus have also felt free since moving. Remus because he was no longer under the persecution he has been constantly under since he was bitten at five years old. He was free from the prejudice, free from poor health as he hadn't been allowed in the hospital, free from wearing shabby clothes as he finally had a job, a job he could finally keep for more than a few months. He was free to just be able to spend time with his family and he couldn't be happier. Honor felt free as she was no longer under the pressure and burden she had to carry since she reentered the Wizarding World at age eleven.

She didn't have to keep looking over her shoulder, she didn't have to live up to everyone's expectations. She wasn't glorified one moment and shunned the next. All she had to worry about is looking after her babies. She could finally be happy and spend time with her family who actually cared about her and loved her unconditionally. Not too long after that had moved Lady Augusta Longbottom, Xenophilius Lovegood and Lady Zambini had moved their children or charges to Jackson as well the group of them living in Zambini Manor with Blaise, Theo and his mother. Marianna had offered them to live with her and her sons instead of buying a house and it was rather large much like Iolanthe Manor, so Augusta and Xenophilius had accepted.

They had moved after Dumbledore had been called up on his crimes, sacked from all his positions, his Monterey claimed and past out to those families who he had destroyed or attempted to destroy, fathered and extracted all information they could from him by using Veritumserum and then he had been sentenced to death by Kingsley who was the new Minister of Magic. Cornelius had been sacked and

Umbridge sentenced to Azkaban and given the kiss for torturing students with a blood Quil. Although Amelia Bones and Kingsley we're attempting to make Britain safe again, fix the wrongs that had been created. It would never truly be safe until Voldemort and his followers were gone so the Black family and friends decided the better option would be to stay in America especially as they were so backwards and their prejudice against Remus was enough for them to stay put.

"How're you feeling cub?" Remus asked popping out into the conservatory where she and Draco were hanging out with their friends. She had woken up very uncomfortable and in a bit of pain. He and Ted had let them have fun today instead of learning as they knew Honor wouldn't be able to concentrate, so he and Ted had been relaxing in the Living room talking to Augusta. Xenophilius was still working on the Quibler and Marianna was a healer like Narcissa.

"I'm okay just really uncomfortable papa." Honor moaned as she shifted on the sofa trying to relief the aches and pains. She was eight months pregnant now and they knew the babies could come early as she was carrying twins and was rather small thanks to the Dursley's.

"Here cub." Rents said sitting on the other shed of handing her a pain potion as he rubbed her back, neck and shoulders trying to relieve the pain for her, he hated seeing his cub in pain.

"Thank you papa." Honor yawned leaning against him as she watched Draco, Luna, Neville, Theo and Blaise play Gobbstones. Before she knew it she was drifting off into sleep, the lack of sleep catching up to her as she slept on her papa's chest.
