*Dick's POV*

    Me and Shae stood there in shock. I blinked my eyes a few times. It took me a few seconds to recap what had happened. So what basically happened was: Kate goes missing, Damian goes off on his own to find her, We follow, We see Kate pointing a gun at Damian, Damian reasons with her, Kate shoots Two- Face, pretty sure he's dead, Two-Face shoots Damian! Reality smacked me in the face as I ran over to Damian's side. I look over to see Kate screaming. Damian had a gunshot wound through his stomach, and blood was pouring out fast! I took his cape and put a minimal amount of pressure on it, so It wouldn't cause him much pain.

"G-grayson.." Damian muttered.

"Yea little D?" I look up to his face to see tears forming in his eyes.

"K-Kyle's going to k-kill me if I-I die" He somewhat smiled.

"No little D don't say that!" A sad smile came across my face.

"I-I'm tired Gr-Grayson..." He started to close his eyes.

"No, no..stay with me..Just a little longer." I started to cry.

"G-grayson?" he tilted his head slightly upwards.

"Yea?" I looked right back at him.

"T-te-telll K-kate I-" He suddenly stopped moving and, then soon stopped breathing all together.

A started freaking out.

"L-little d?" I questioned lightly shaking him.

"Little d!come on!" Tears came through my mask, and I started to shake him more violently.

"Damian!" I yell.

    Shae come over to me and lightly pulls me away from him. She takes his cape and puts it over his face. She then walks over to me and holds out her arms. I slowly shuffled my feet over to her and pulled her into a tight hug, and I lightly sobbed into her shoulder. We came to realization that Kate was still on the floor in that suit. She was struggling to get out, and her light cries could be heard from where we were. We both stepped over to her and tried to pry the suit off of her with our bare hands but it was no use.I handed Shae a batarang and we slowly pried off the suit piece by piece. Once the last piece was pried off, she didn't take any time to spring to her feet and sprint over to Damian. She stood there motionless for a minute, before she dropped to her knees, and gave me and Shae a look we'll never forget.

"I-is he..." Tears waddled up in her eyes.

    Shae slowly nodded, and her facial expression changed, she looked shocked. She slowly turned around to face Damian once more. She let a small whimper escape her lips before she buried her face in her hands and started crying.

"T-this is my fault." She whimpered.

"No sweetie, it's no one's fault." Shae walked over and put a hand on her shoulder.

He head slowly rose and she turned around and smacked SHae's hand off of her shoulder.She sniffled a little before speaking.

"I'm the reason he's dead!" She echoes, her voice cracking a bit.

"No he came here on his own" I started to reason.

"He came here because of me!" She insisted.

"Two-Face is the one that-" I started.

"I should have just stayed dead in the first place!" She interrupted.

"Don't say that." Shae murmured.

"But it's true.." Kate put her head down

"Kate.." I motioned.

"I have to go." She said boldly.

"No you don't" Shae put her arm out, but Kate backed away.

"Everyone I've ever loved is dead! Who knows you two could be next, and you couldn't even know it! The last thing I need is to lose you guys to! Along with Jason and Tim!" She backed away even more, lightly moving her feet around Damian.

"But Kate..." I mumbled taking a few steps closer to her.

"Goodbye" She whispered with tears running down her face.

     She turned around and started running out. Me and Shae tried to chase after her, but we were too late she was gone. In a way, we kind of saved the world from mass destruction. But at a terrible cost. As soon as we went to go back into the room with Damian, the Batmobile pulled up. With Jason, Tim, and Bruce... he gave us the questioning look saying "What happened?" but we didn't answer. We both just put out head down. Bruce didn't take that as a good sign. Him Jason, and Tim rushed inside. Shae and I slowly followed behind. They looked through every room until they came across the one we were in before.

    Bruce had one of his batarangs in his hand ready to fight. But he dropped it with a loud metal clang! He rushed over to Damian's side.

"No..." He whispered. 

    Tim and Jason gathered around Bruce, as he held his dead son in his arms. Shae and I were just standing there in shock hoping to god that Kate would be alright. We could have helped her. and such a shame I never got to hear what Damian wanted me to say to Kate.

But by now, I'm pretty sure we all knew what he wanted to say.

A/N: Well there you have it. This is officially the end of 'Complicated Love [book 3] I know this is a sucky ending to the book, but I guess it is what it is.
